  1. Can you tell me if there is laser tag on this ship in the ice rink. On Royal Caribbean's description of this ship it indicates it does. I've read other posts saying it does not. We're going with kids & 7 grands aged 1-15 next March out of Galveston. I had already told the grands about laser tag and they are super excited, then I read differently somewhere.
  2. Normally they run the kids out. Must be 18 to play so they don’t want them in there. Possibly they could take turns waiting outside the casino with the kids?
  3. We were told in a Q&A that they are never "sold out" prior to boarding as they hold seats for people to book once onboard. After boarding if booking are full after the first day, they always have a standby line and most often everyone gets in. Other reserve, forgot about it, get busy doing other things, decide to skip it, etc.
  4. No you cannot bring port as it has liquor added to the wine.
  5. Actually, under the new perks, you may use one of your D, D+ or P vouchers to purchase bottles of wine at a discount.
  6. I believe the package is only offered onboard day 1 & 2, of a 7 night cruise, for the remainder of the cruise. You can not purchase it by the day. Pre-covid they sometimes offered a 10 drink punch card on day 5 or 6 if alcohol sales were low. However, I have not seen that offered since the restart.
  7. In January when we were on, Cory (cruise director) fielded questions in a Q&A. We were told they absolutely will be replacing the plants on Allure. However, they are waiting until the chance of freezing weather has passed as the cost to replace those plants will be in excess of $1M.
  8. Here's an article I saw a week or so ago. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2023/01/03/royal-caribbean-experiments-new-entertainment-younger-millennial-guests
  9. I've only been to Nachi Cocum. It is more adult oriented with no water toys, blow up bounce items, etc. It is limited to 130 total people. Everyone gets a chair and umbrella area of their own. There is a huge pool and a huge hot tub. There is a covered area to eat or they will serve you at your lounger. All food and drinks are included. There is no loud music or partying. It's very laid back. They do offer massages for an additional fee and come by one time letting you know what extras they offer such as glass bottom boat, banana boat ride, parasailing, etc. Then they leave you alone. We've been 4 times and always enjoy it. The food is very good.
  10. I don't believe room service alcohol drinks are covered by any package or voucher.
  11. On Allure next week the Cruise Planner shows two different games that will be screened at the Aqua Theater.
  12. We were not allowed in the engine/mechanical room. Only the control room. It is a very fascinating tour. Ours was pre-covid, and was a 3 hour tour. Closed toed shoes, long pants or capris. No shorts or skirts. We got the lanyards and a tote bag and kitchen aprons with logo.
  13. I usually make a specific one for each cruise. Print and put in a magnetic photo sleeve. I do them for friends traveling with us as well.
  14. I asked on another group site about this as it is still listed on the website as entertainment on Allure and I have been twice and it is fantastic. Going again in Jan with a group of 10 friends who hadn't seen it so I was asking about it. Someone who was onboard had asked the CD and he said that it is not currently showing and there are no immediate plans to bring it back.
  15. Our friend did receive a refund for her no-show travel companion. But no double points.
  16. Our travel mate was to sail with a friend in February '22. The friend ended up not going. Our friend sailed solo and as so many here state was expecting to receive double points. Once home and her points posted she only received 1 point per night instead of 2. She had made the reservation and paid for both of them to go. She contacted RCI twice and both times was told unless she booked solo to begin with they are no longer giving double points. They told her she would have had to take the other person off the reservation and reprice at double occupancy to get double points. She had already paid for 2 to begin with. I told her to call C&A which she did two more times and got the same answer. Next she contacted them through the RCI FB page and got the same answer. She would have turned diamond but is short 2 points. We are sailing again this weekend and I told her as a last ditch effort try the Loyalty Ambassador onboard to see if they would do anything about the double points... she's not counting on getting them at this point. At least after this cruise she will be diamond. So I wouldn't count on getting double points going forward. If you do it might be a one time thing.
  17. No you will not receive their perks. The drinks are pre-loaded only on the D+ card. Now if that person chooses to buy you a drink using one of their vouchers then that's ok.
  18. Let us have our turn first in Galveston! We've been waiting a looooooong time for an Oasis class ship!
  19. This ongoing thread has a compilation of C&A perks letters from various ships.
