  1. Here is Oceania's policy: https://oceaniacruises.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360005477653-How-many-dining-reservations-am-I-allowed-in-each-specialty-restaurant-
  2. You will need their booking number to add to the reservation. If you add them to your booking, it uses one of their advance, online reservations, and vice-versa.
  3. You might be interested in knowing Europe is mandating USB-C as a standard. https://www.cnet.com/tech/mobile/usb-c-universal-law-receives-final-approval-in-eu/#:~:text=USB-C will become the standard in the EU.&text=The law to make USB,charging cable across the EU.
  4. Yes, but not the itinerary or port names.
  5. You can take spirits onboard...to consume in your stateroom only.
  6. On our Viking Expedition cruise from Toronto to NYC, we found the food in Viking's buffet generally better that Oceania's Terrace. Viking specialties (The Restaurant and Manfredi's) were not up to the quality of Oceania's specialties (Tuscan Steak, Toscana, or Polo). We found the land tours good to excellent. Service on Viking was superb, equal to and sometimes better than on Oceania.
  7. You are lucky, or the rules changed. I have never been able to see any of my "on hold" cruises until I paid the deposit.
  8. Probably to illustrate to those who are thinking about jumping ship, the complaints about Oceania are not unique to Oceania, and the grass may not be greener on the other lines.
  9. If you're asking about Santiago, the port is in Valparaíso.
  10. Actually I don't remember, although we may have specified hypoallergenic for the soap. We did it through our TA who knew what was possible.
  11. We ask for hypoallergenic/non-feather pillows and duvet. Also non-scented, soaps and shampoo.
  12. An amazing level of whining for a First World Problem.
  13. Thanks. I just went through this with AA, and they were firm that the new flight must begin within 1 year of original purchase, although the return was not restricted. I did get them to extend the FCC date by 6 months because of a critical emergency.
  14. But how (or when) does the insurance company (CC or other wise) determine the FFC is not used?
  15. The problem we find with AA is that the "year" for an FFC is from purchase date, not departure date. So if you book early, you're screwed.
  16. Good question, but I suspect, without any data or facts 🥸, that the French Balconies are not meant to be kept open for ant extended period of time. There is a similar issue with the Nordic Balconies on Viking's Expedition ships.
  17. Actually, there is more involved than simply the A/C. The cabins and halls are set to have a pressure barrier that keeps the hall air from leaking into the room. When a window or door is opened, that barrier is removed. There were lots of discussions about this on CC during the height of the pandemic.
  18. Can you believe it? Some of us actually like the new arrangement and design and consider it an improvement over the previous version 🙂.
  19. What you are describing is a Guaranty room, not a wait listed. It means (in principle) that you will get a room at the level of the Guaranty or better. Waitlist means you have no room and are dependent on someone canceling in the stateroom category you are wait listed.
