  1. As far as I know I have never been in contact with it so I don't know how it smells.
  2. Maybe it depends on the ship, I was on MSC World Europa, or maybe the lady standing outside the MDR didn't knew what she was talking about.
  3. I ate lobster in the YC but was told that they didn't served lobster in the MDR.
  4. What is the surf & turf in the main dining room?
  5. I only meant that since it's illegal here I can't know what it smells like!
  6. I know how it smells when a baby has filled it's diaper but I don't know how weed smells.
  7. Then I can say, how do you know how weed smells? I have no idea how it smells!
  8. I could say "how do you know how weed smells?" but I know americans are different so I don't say anything!
  9. MSCs Swedish site still mention the possibility to arrange exclusive YC excursions.
  10. We have done two MSC cruises in the Mediterranean where people embarked/disembarked in every port. I don't know how NCL handle it but MSC just roll the meny over seven days, the same menu every friday for example. The taxiline was long when we disembarked in Barcelona so we were glad that not all 6000 passengers disembarked there!
  11. I have always thought that it was "Daily Service Charge", always good to learn something new!
  12. If an issue arrise it's much better to deal with MSC directly than go through a TA, here in Sweden. In America it seems like a TA is better to deal with.
  13. Insane! I'm glad that's not the Swedish customerservice!
  14. I find that interesting. Can you tell me more about that example?
  15. It depends on what you mean with help. I don't mean carry them, which I already have said, more like putting their walker in position or hold their hand if their legs are shaky.
  16. 5 minutes is probably the longest time I have waited for anything. My opinion is that they do too much! Why do they always need to escort you to a restaurant? It's almost possible to say no to that, I have tried. The same thing with drinks to the cabin. I go to the lounge, because for me that's easier than calling the butler, but they never let me carry them back to the cabin, a butler always does that.
  17. A butler will defenitely go to the cabin and get their glasses. I should NEVER ask them to do it but if I was old, had mobility issues and MSC had screwed up my cabinselection I might have asked them. They will not carry someone but I see no reason why they shouldn't give a helping hand. They do take carryons on and of the ship all the time. I agree that maybe they won't help someone to get a soda from the minibar but they will defenitely deliver one from the lounge.
  18. I'm sorry for people in other parts of the world but here in Sweden their customer service is very good. They answer the phone and e-mails and to my knowledge they don't mess things up. I'm very satisfied with them.
  19. Of course they will let them switch around the passengers, now you are just silly! How will that happen? They tell the concierge that they have cabin 17000, 16000, 16002 and 16004 and want to move the elderly couple from cabin 17000 to cabin 16000, done. If the system for some reason doesn't allow the change noone cares who sleeps where so they can still sleep in 16000.
  20. I agree with you. The only thing is number 2. I want them to build big ships but the big ships shall do longer cruises, not short one week cruises! One week on a monster like MSC World Europa is too little.
  21. Maybe the price increase means that there will be less cutbacks. We cruised last week for the first time after the pandemic and I was surprised about the high quality, I had expected cutbacks but didn't saw any. We ate lunch one day at the YC Sundeck bar and grill and there were around 10 staff and maybe 6 passengers + a few more around the sundeck. No cutback there.
  22. I agree with you that it was bad of them to change your cabins, especially when they didn't told you about it. They will let you move around the passengers so that you will be as close as possible to your elderly relatives. You don't have to care about the check-in time and can check-in together. If you arrive before boarding has started they will probably take all photos while you are waiting to board, nothing to worry about. I hope that you will get a great cruise even if it's frustrating right now.
