  1. Since you're the self proclaimed President of the Cheerleaders Club, can you share with us your personal onboard experiences along with ship and cabin class since the restart, especially in the year of 2023? Patty
  2. On Beyond in Feb only had one menu the entire sailing, no filet. Seems this varies by ship/month Patty
  3. I am not pro or con X, no cheerleader or hater effect from me but I do have concerns and have sailed pre and post shutdown so have first hand experiences. I am in no way being snarky, honestly questioning what's realistic going forward? All of the above posts ring true, staffing shortages, supply chain issues, rising inflation. So I ask at what point do you feel Celebrity should be able to deliver what once was? How long does the cruiser accept less and adjust expectations? I've have always LOVED Celebrity and have boasted for years to many friends about the service and food being so much better than NCL, RCCL or Princess. I can't say that now! Sadly... It's lost its luster. Celebrity was the WOW for us and now it was just FINE. No major issues and needs were met but nothing stands out as special anymore. Secondly if the cruiser accepts this as the new temporary normal and keeps giving Celebrity the pass because of all the mentioned issues, why would they ever up their product gong forward? Seems they are making bank off those who are willing to accept less. So no real incentive to improve? Many have lost years of their travel time and are willing to do whatever it takes to Go Go Go.... I am guilty of being one of them but I am also beginning to see that this isn't a temporary problem its blatant cutbacks that will never be uncut! I have done lands trips post covid and there is no comparison between the quality of dining & accommodations vs that on ship. So I guess my personal acceptance & adjustments going forward is my travel style. I've broadened my view to what I can see and do by land. Patty
  4. Don't know the percentage but I can say there were a lot on my Beyond sailing in Feb. The slow tendering process didn't help, many people gave up. We heard the last call at 12:20pm for a 7-4 port stop. We were glad we chose to stay on before we set sail. The beverages were plentiful, Cel now has this figured out and is meeting the needs IMO. Patty
  5. If I weren't already booked for the Gk Isles during the same timeframe, I'd jump on the deal! Thanks again Deal Ninja 😉 Patty
  6. I boarded Beyond this past Feb on Super Bowl Sunday, the game was playing in the theater, Craft Social and on the screen at the Rooftop Garden. Made for a Fun Day no matter who you were rooting for, Patty
  7. Premium Wifi is 40% off as well. Not the Deal of the century but still good! Patty
  8. I felt the same about the lemon tarts, thought they were spared... but...some days they seemed to be same as days past and other days, they definitely were not! Patty
  9. I was on Beyond in an IV with NO noise issues at all for a full 7 night sailing. Patty
  10. Hi @NorthStarStateCruiser Aka DealNinja, this time my friend who also lives in Mn alerted me before you. I'm on the Feb 15th 2025 Reflection, saved $300 and gained an additional $150 OBC. Thanks, Patty
  11. @NorthStarStateCruiser You're a Deal Ninja! 🤑 Thx for sharing! Patty
  12. Why would you want to happily argue with me when I clearly said I gave up trying to argue the point? Besides the fact that I'm not the one who quoted you?
  13. I'll never understand why so many CC members post that the ports times are all the same but have given up trying to argue the point, a simple search proves how different they can be. The OP also posted on the Celebrity board, hope they get the sailing they are looking for. Patty
  14. Many felt the same way regarding the buffet cut backs in January and the new Room Service Fees. Celebrity makes changes all the time, our only options are that we can choose to accept them or sail another line. Hope you enjoy your sailing and that this doesn't have much impact, Patty
  15. IMO for a first time visit, Princess for Alaska is close to perfect. Glacier Bay, Hubbard and their Naturalists are all amazing. Recommend one way sailings north or southbound. I enjoy the longest port times so that I can explore and spend as much time as possible on amazing tours. Late port days in Juneau will limit you so I'd pick an early arrival port time. I encourage you do your best to avoid getting caught up on ship entertainment or food, all are pretty equal. Alaska is the star and will never disappoint. Enjoy whatever you choose, Patty
  16. IMO Yes, I'd stay over a night or two, explore the city and take that flight from the hotel rather than cruise port.
  17. Comparing Princess to RCCL in Alaska, no contest. Go with Princess. Patty
  18. On my Feb Beyond sailing Cel was no longer using pre-booking reservations for any of the 4 MDR, changed last year. I had them reserved just as extra assurance (In the cruise planner I selected the dining room of choice and time for each night) but once on board, they did not matter. The hostess confirmed there is no longer anything other than MTD on E-class ships. Patty
  19. E-Class is all MTD~ Show up to any MDR at any time. Patty
  20. Depends on the ship and time you arrive to dinner. In my experience, E-class no / M-class maybe. Patty
  21. @AliceS agree with the above, I'll also add that I loved all the light that the room had. It was easy for me to see the ocean at all times no matter where I was in the room. I used it exactly the same as I did a regular balcony. I stood at the rail in Cozumel and watch the pier runners. I had coffee in the morning. My DH sat there scanning his phone while I dressed for the day/night. I don't have a "LOVE" for either an IV or Real Balcony. I use the stateroom layout & amenities to the best of my ability, none of them are perfect. Small boxes that meet our needs for the week or two. I chose the bed by IV option and for me it was perfect. We treated the first space as a dressing room off the bathroom, had plenty of room to open the closet doors and use the vanity without going around the bed constantly. The other end of the room beyond the bed was treated as a very small sitting area to have drinks and watched the world go by. There is no one size fits all to this topic, we enjoyed it and no I wasn't fooled or suckered by Celebrity, there is plenty of information on this feature that I knew exactly what I'd be getting. I did meet others on my sailing that agreed and enjoyed the room. I had no problems with noise, I loved that I didn't hear all of my neighbors conversations or smell their smoke, of all varieties. Many here rave about the SV and that's their prerogative but for me it was a one and done, so hot and loud, I'll never sail one again. I read regularly that you must have a balcony for Alaska sailings and I couldn't disagree more! IMO for Alaska sailings you must get out of port and do as many activities as physically possible and bundle up to be top deck for hours at a time. I've sailed Alaska with a balcony once and have gone back many times interior so that I could put the funds towards amazing tours but that is what's best for me. So to my point, there will always be better for you scenarios, no one is right or wrong! I'll second YOU DO YOU! Patty
  22. No worries, just giving you a heads up. I've done the zip rider and loved it! Patty
