  1. More likely to sleeve it like Jimmy Fallon!
  2. If you have the FAS package there is no corkage fee. You can bring on as much wine/champagne as you can can carry (no specified limits) or bring the bottle you bought onboard anywhere you want. I suspect if you want to you'd even be allowed to drink straight from the bottle walking around the ship! 🙂 (Actually I'd avoid taking the bottle to the pool or hot-tubs. That will probably be disallowed!)
  3. Nope, just a simple white gold band!
  4. Doubt they'd let anything clipped to a swimsuit through. Might get lucky if stored in a pocket. They made me take off my wedding ring to go down the slides.
  5. I admire your dedication to closing down the Haven bar. We only managed that a couple nights (only 5 day cruise though) last year. You have inspired me to step my game up in two weeks!
  6. I've done this many times (didn't know there was a regulation against it) and have always had my bottles just fine on the other side.
  7. I wish I was having this problem... It will be a few more weeks before I do!
  8. And also booked directly with the line or with a TA that participates in the upgrade program. I believe the popular big box store does not from what I hear.
  9. I believe they are going at about 50 cents on the dollar on resale (from what I've read)? So a $250 goes for around $125? Basically means you're not losing money resale because you're getting them for 50% off when you buy... But that also means if you have a cruise you want to go on you can hit up the resale boards and essentially buy them for what you could on the boat without. Although you trade the risk that you won't use them for the risk of potentially getting scammed when resale... They definitely let me add a 3rd cruise next to a current sailing when the offer showed up a couple months after I booked. As long as it's before final payment they are pretty generous because you can always cancel and rebook.
  10. Don't let them scare you with the 'expiring' special. That's marketing. They've had the same 'special' going for the last two years I've been watching, and others probably have seen them for longer. They change form, but rarely substance. Occasionally you'll see double/triple up cruise next offers those do probably need to be done before they expire, but if it's free-at-sea/% off/or maybe even bogo air (I haven't used it but I think it's usually offered) those tend to be there as a baseline.
  11. Actually Encore won't have Spice H20. The Bliss does, but not the Encore.
  12. If you keep an eye out they occasionally have triple up offers where you can use 3 cruise nexts (like I did for my next sailing) When buying it is a little weird. I'm not 100% sure I'm getting this right (and I bought them on my first and so far only cruise with them) but they will tell you you get OBC when purchasing. I believe they give you 50% OBC of the amount you're buying, but then they apply that OBC to the purchase of the cruise next. So if you buy 4 $250 cruise nexts you are charged $1000, but after they give you $500 OBC you'll only really be paying $500. Did I get that right those in the know?
  13. I hope so. But temper your expectations! I don't remember if they are only available for breakfast. I also don't remember if they serve breakfast on embarkation day... But unless supply issues have taken them out they should be available the next morning!
  14. Time to complain and insist you get what you paid for! (Where is the sarcasm font?)
  15. Not sure if sarcasm (if so you got me!), but if not, NCL doesn't really do that. At least not the last 2 years I was looking...
  16. I'd have you talk to my wife, but she probably wouldn't listen to you either! So we'll be some of the people you're people watching... (Other than I'm not on your cruise!)
  17. Oh no! Not another tipping thread! And not another post making a pun out of tips! (But yes bring them, the butler & concierge don't share in the standard pool. Not that I'm sure anyone shares in the pool except for NCL... but I'm a cynic and why I tip in cash...)
  18. Port Valet is only available for flights after 12pm so that unfortunately won't help the OP.
  19. Just for the record, using the card points for OBC is a 'bad' idea. The same # of points gives you the same amount as a card credit (money off your bill). The OBC from the card is non-refundable so you would have to use it or lose it.
  20. Alaska doesn't have a state sales tax...
  21. If the monitor and phone just need to be on the same wifi network you could get a small travel router and connect them both to that. I can tell you that would probably be a much cheaper solution than going with wifi/cell plans. Of course if you are tech-challenged then it may not be the best course for you. A travel router is always in my electronics bag because I can share on-the-road wifi networks with my devices, and since it uses the same SSID and password as my home network my devices just 'work' (like apple TV's and alexa speakers.)
  22. I believe you still get turndown service in the Haven unless they've taken that away too!
  23. From now to never. It isn't very consistent... You can always contact them yourself. I know the link if floating around the Haven thread somewhere. I don't have it off the top of my head.
  24. We're turo'ing a car to get there. (Just a couple bucks more than doing the excursion with the blue bus for a family of 5, and could have got an even cheaper car...) It's only tour operators that are limited from what I understand.
