  1. I can't say if they remain in the staterooms when returning to the US, but they were there on our April cruise prior to the TA to the UK, which means they were there for that TA and while in the UK. However, as mentioned, they were not in use for us on the US itinerary.
  2. Keep in mind the pricing is for the full venue and the fact that it is a private beach and pool area, not just the food. The lunch is just part of the offering covered by the price.
  3. If you are reaching diamond on the first leg be sure to talk to the LA on board so they can update your records to provide the diamond benefits on the second leg. It won't necessarily happen automatically as the tally process typically takes a few days after the first leg. The LA will be able to do it on board for you. As to them living in their own world, they price the packages based on market and until they stop selling, the prices may continue to rise. Seems there are always enough people buying them regardless of price. 🙂
  4. The cruise may be at capacity, but no more crowded than normal pre-pandemic cruises. ....and as you may see my prior comments about those who booked the beach club at that high price being the ones who are out of their minds, please know that I am just kidding! 🙂 I have been accused of being out of my mind a number of times - mostly by my wife. (and she should know)! Whatever one pays is the right price for them. Enjoy the beach club!
  5. No they are not - those who book it at that price are! 😄😉
  6. There's actually about double that amount. There are two groups: one to the left when you enter the beach club and another to the right. (towards south beach) Enjoy her generosity! 🙂
  7. Originally when the program was introduced you could. You would book whatever best fare existed in your selected category, then the discount was applied to that - no restrictions. We did it many times in the early years of this program. Now, unfortunately, it has changed and is no longer combinable with certain promos and fares. (see my comments in my previous post).
  8. Just our perspective. My wife and I are D+, so we each have 5 vouchers per day. As they are combinable (she can order drinks for me with hers and visa versa), the 10 total is typically enough for our daily consumption. Given the cost per day per person for the drink packages, there has never been an instance when we could justify adding that. It is far less costly to buy whatever extra drinks in addition to the vouchers you may need a la carte than it would be to purchase the package, IMO. And with the $13 voucher value, there are very few drinks (at lease on our dance card) that we would get that would require any upcharge. But even so, that cost would be nominal compared to a drink package with the vouchers. Also note that the vouchers expire daily and are refreshed daily - they do not carry over. We typically cash out any remaining vouchers at the end of the day at a bar and take those drinks in the form of canned beverages (beer, Truly's, etc.) unopened back to our stateroom cooler for another day.
  9. As I've posted on these boards before, when the C&A balcony discount was first introduced years ago it was a stand alone benefit that was combinable with any offered pricing - we did that many times. (In fact the original program was a balcony stateroom at an OV price - but that quickly changed to the discount program, which IMO made more sense). The first significant change was to add the "6 month booking qualifier" that reduced the value for bookings less than 6 months from sailing, and only allowed the full value with +6 month bookings. The next change was to restrict it with certain pricing offers making it no longer combinable with all offers. Not good "loyalty" practice IMO. We now look at every booking we make in comparison with our C&A number added and without to determine the best value and whether or not we are benefiting from the discount. In several cases the pricing was better without our membership applied. We have booked that better price and then had the DC Concierge add our number on board to assure the credit for that sailing. All of these changes have occurred, BTW, under Michael Bayley's tenure.
  10. Just to echo some of the other's comments, in our two experiences they brought an additional lobster and filet for my wife and I to share in addition to that which we ordered. And it is a full lobster shell filled with claw and tail meat along with a very good filet. One of the best RCCL meals we've had. The $199 price, however, is very high IMO. I realize it is market driven and RCCL is looking to increase revenue where possible with the restart, but in our October Oasis experience we did a day of walk on for $165 pp, (which seemed high and was then the full price) and in December Allure we got a planner offer of $85 pp, which was basically worth the lunch alone, let alone the rest of the venue. I'm guessing those days are long gone as our June Allure is at the $199 pp price - on which we are passing this time.
  11. This reflects our experience as well. It was not a daily event and, on the one occasion when it occurred, was based on inclement weather.
  12. I have not had international itinerary experience with this, but as the 4th of July is an American celebration I would not expect there to be too much of any specific focus with this on board the ship, especially as it is a European itinerary. Ship wide I would expect it to be pretty much just another day on board.
  13. I would not trust that as being formally accepted by the cruise lines if they are "sold" in that manner. The seller may receive something for them but I would question their validity with the people that purchase them as far as the cruise lines are concerned. In other words, buyer beware.
  14. You have the option to upload a picture of your vaccination cards as part of the on line check in procedure. Once uploaded and verified - which can take anywhere from a few days to a week or more - it will indicate that on the check in record. But it is not a matter of concern because - other than to provide a check in time at the terminal - the on line check in process is really nothing more than a convenience as you are required to show the negative test results, vaccination cards, and ID at check in at the terminal anyway. So do not be concerned if you have any issues with uploading anything during the on line check in process, It will not impact your ability to board. Just have all the information with you at check in.
  15. It does not matter. Just bring everything for check in at the terminal.
  16. Not broken. Just not plugged in or set up with any tea or coffer. Just on the table. They typically are used with European cruises and usually are not in the stateroom for US itineraries. They may have just been out in preparation for the TA to the UK itineraries,
  17. They should be there. They were there - but not in use for us - on our April US itinerary, which was just before she returned to the UK.
  18. Can confirm that - 1,200 out of 3,800 total passengers! Spring break / Easter cruising has returned....LOL.
  19. Just a thought - double check your passport information. Perhaps you are keying in a wrong number or something. Seems odd that it would be happening with both lines otherwise. As to not using a TA again, I would suggest looking at agencies that are brick and mortar or staffed with live humans that will take your booking and respond via phone for support v email only. On-line agencies often don't provide that basic service. A TA should act as your advocate to support you directly with these types of issues and would typically be the easiest source for resolution.
  20. If either of the two bookings are currently on Celebrity you can apply the FCC's towards final payment. They don't have to be used with the initial booking.
  21. Just trying to maybe prevent a potential issue on board with someone trying to open them themselves. Some rules are meant to be followed for a reason. Just sayin'.....
  22. They tend to keep them more forward on the ship to be close to the spa.
  23. You can also try emailing them at dining@rccl.com and include your booking number, ship, and sailing date with your request.
  24. Check with the cruise line for any specific requirements, but in general a rapid NAAT test (which is the easiest) is required not more than 2 days prior to sailing. Walgreens is one national chain that will perform this with an appointment at n/c with insurance. Results are available typically within an hour. This, in our 3 cruise experience since October with US closed loop departures, is the only test required to sail and depart at the ports of call we visited. There is also a self test kit that is available, typically through the cruise lines, that can be performed by you at home while proctored on line for a fee. Again, it is best to check your cruise line website for information on all testing requirements and options. They typically will list the full sailing protocols necessary for your itinerary.
