  1. Unfortunately you won't know that until you are on board - LOL. And if someone gets you a current on board price that doesn't mean that is what it will be on a future sailing. But obviously what that will tell you is what the price was on board at that given sailing v the planner or website pricing. But even that doesn't mean that is what it will be another time. Usually, I would think the planner price on any given itinerary is likely the best price available.
  2. On our three cruises since October the on board price was not discounted from the planner price. I did not purchase it but I believe the last price I saw in April was around $65 pp / per day. But that likely may not be what it is today. So I would go by the website quoted price as a starting point. Sales usually occur on the planner which might show a discounted price (20-30%?) but what that would actually be is hard to say - especially since the beverage package pricing seems to be increasing recently.
  3. With any RCCL ship (Anthem is no different) once boarded, you would go to the maître d at the first night restaurant (or any of the specialty restaurants) and they will assist with changing or adding reservations with your package. There may be some limitations on time choices based on availability, but they will be as flexible as possible to your preferences. You can also use the app on board.
  4. You can book everything on the app as soon as you board. The DC typically opens at 5:00, but the Concierge may be there earlier in the afternoon as he maintains morning and afternoon hours daily. He can assist as well. Guest services would also be available.
  5. Not so sure about less people anymore, Dave - LOL. Our last three cruises the DC has been very crowded. On Allure in December, as example, to the extent that after the first night we never went back. And on our Ovation Hawaii-Vancouver in 2019 there were over 600 D's and up and they opened the Music Hall for the DC instead! (Which was actually quite fun!) But now with the coupons every venue can be the DC - less the snacks. But agree with the yummy snacks! 😉
  6. Use the address provided by @davekathybut be sure to include your ship, sailing date, and booking number with the request.
  7. Check with any of the specialty restaurants maître d's and they can assist with your dining reservations - including maybe changing the first night if you don't want that. As to anything else that may require reservations, you will be able to arrange everything on board with the app after boarding. Or you can talk with guest services. I would just suggest doing so shortly after you board on day one to assure best options for times.
  8. Summit and Jewel are very similar in size, and about the same age. But Jewel was designed to feature outward looking views with a lot of glass, including a port side atrium style elevator bank with outward facing elevators offering a view of the sea while riding. (There are also elevators with an inside atrium view as with the other RCCL ships). Here is a link to a video which shows this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtzW1BCIfkM&ab_channel=MysteryShadow1969 We have been on both ships and like both. However, we would probably have a preference with Jewel because of her design features.
  9. While there is the likelihood of offers made on board for packages and individual venue discounts, there absolutely is no guarantee of this or that the pricing would be at 50% off. That is not a set policy or offer amount. If you feel that the current planner pricing is attractive than I would suggest booking it. The best way to compare is to look at the total package price and take that average and then compare that to the individual venue pricing for those restaurants you would be considering. Otherwise you can take your chances with on board offers but there is no way to predict if they would be better that the planner pricing, and I would say in our experience, typically not. They may possibly not be as attractive as well. Also most package offers to which you are referring typically occur early in the cruise. Individual venues may offer their own at different times during the cruise as well as the first night or two. In our recent three cruises since October there were specials to be found on board, primarily through the individual venues. However the advance planner pricing was attractive for packages.
  10. The couch is relatively small, but even if large enough, it may be difficult to have a person sleep on it. The bigger concern would be that if the stateroom is not specifically designated as allowing for a 3rd person, you may not be able to use the couch if it is not a fold out type designated to be a bed, and would be limited to double occupancy for that stateroom.
