  1. Is the DBP $14 limit on drink price based on the base price of the drink, or the price of the drink + the 18% gratuity?
  2. And at that point you've definitely paid your 'dues' for that coveted status!
  3. As a career USN officer, we always thought that you Coasties never strayed past the shallow water, which would mean that when you did enter the water, it was never more than 6 ft or so deep. And that would be very scary from any height at all. 😁
  4. Probably trying to get a selfie, and probably 🍺🍷🍹involved..
  5. It's just that for some (like me) the hard sell becomes obtrusive and annoying.😒
  6. We just booked Izumi for our April '24 sailing, and it worked fine.
  7. Thanks @not-enough-cruising and @Biker19; makes perfect sense now 🙂
  8. Thank you, but I'm still a bit confused. Currently my cruise planner shows the Voom package as: "$16.99 per guest per day" Since we're two guests in the cabin, but just one of us and one device will be using the Voom service, will we be paying $16.99 per day, or $33.98 per day? Sorry for the confusion..
  9. New to RCI, and just so I understand. If there is a price drop on our future sailing prior to final payment, will our account/balance due be automatically credited back the difference?
  10. Regarding Voom, I see in my cruise planner that there is a charge per person in the cabin, or something like that (similar to the DBP). Does that mean that if I'm the only one in our cabin (and not DW) who will be using the service, and only on one device, will I still be paying for two people/two devices? I'm confused on this pricing..
  11. Anybody know when the class typically becomes available in our cruise planner for future sailings? My wife is interested in doing it on our EOS sailing next April.
  12. Do the designated smoking areas have tables and places to sit down, or are they just an ash tray where people can stand and have their cigarette(s)?
  13. I wasn't implying that anybody said those things, only expressing my opinion on the topic. But since you brought it up, if the shoe fits...
  14. In my opinion, regardless of how you feel about the way gratuities are handled on cruise lines, if you remove gratuities, you’re taking away well earned compensation from those crew members working behind the scenes who may have otherwise received part of the daily gratuity rate. If you can afford a cruise these days, you can afford to pay gratuities and you should not remove them. Opting out of gratuities is not a way to boycott service charges and save money on your cruise. While many passengers would prefer gratuities be included in the cruise fare, that’s not the way it works for most cruise lines, including Royal Caribbean.
  15. I don't agree that this is a good option for a variety of reasons..
  16. And we prefer not to gamble on the 'if' part, so we always factor some extra time in to our plan to account for any possible glitches along the way.
  17. Not sure I understand where the 'worry' comes from. You either pay them when you book, or when you sail. Simply a matter of choice/preference..
  18. Sounds like he needs to be taught a thing or two..
  19. Especially the 'even on formal night' part..
  20. As many of us have. I was simply commenting on your blanket statement about a specific dining venue on specific ships that the pizza was the tastiest on planet earth (if I may paraphrase).
  21. That's good to know, but how is the pizza at Cafe Promenade on the Voyager Class ships?
