  1. This is not unique to RCI. All cruise lines have their steadfast loyalists, who continually lament the 'downgraded experience' with their cruise line of choice.

  3. People actually wear edible clothing to dinner?
  4. Public school education spelling skills ๐Ÿ™ƒ
  5. White tennis shoes are not acceptable for formal night. Gotta be rockin' the jeweled flip flops for acceptable foot wear. ๐Ÿ™‚
  6. Semantics.. And don't ask me why they bother having guidelines, that's a question for the cruise line. But the fact that they do have guidelines indicates to me that they hope people choose to respect them.
  7. Enforcement or not is a whole different subject, which doesn't negate the fact that there are published official guidelines which should be respected IMHO.
  8. Bolding is mine.. How do you know? Do you make a habit of looking under the table to inspect what others are wearing?๐Ÿค”
  9. At some point you'll learn what the various 'hot button' topics are in this cruise forum. Short pants in the MDR is definitely one of them (has been for years). ๐Ÿ˜‰
  10. No, says most (if not all) cruise lines I've sailed on..
  11. Do any of you RCI/EOS veterans know when the 2 'formal nights' (or whatever RCI calls them) might be on this 9-night itinerary? Day 1 - Miami (depart 4:30pm) Day 2 - Sea Day Day 3 - Puerto Plata (depart 3pm) Day 4 - St. Thomas (depart 7pm) Day 5 - Antigua (depart 4pm) Day 6 - Grenada (depart 5pm) Day 7 - St. Kitts (depart 7pm) Day 8 - Sea Day Day 9 - Sea Day Day 10 - Miami (arrive 6:30am) I'm guessing the 2nd one will be on the evening of day 8 (sea day). As for the first one, would it likely be on the first sea day (day 2), or some other day (all port days)? I realize it's up to the captain of the ship, and anybody's guess. But my experience on other lines is that they can usually be predicted with some success based on itinerary. Thanks!
  12. That is pretty funny, but regardless, no shorts in the dining room at dinner!
  13. Just curious.. what is a 'dinning room'? ๐Ÿค”
  14. Your description of EOS sounds perfect to us. Our upcoming sailing on this ship will be only our second one with RCI. Our first nearly 25 years ago ๐Ÿ˜ฏ on Rhapsody. Since that first one many years ago, we have 25+ sailings on other lines. We prefer the 'smaller' ships, and are not drawn to the behemoth 'floating cities' (if you will) that today's newer ships offer. So, again, your reference to EOS being 'small', but with still plenty to do appeals to us a lot! Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚
  15. We may be on the same itinerary as your Feb '24 sailing, but in April. 9-night E. Caribbean out of Miami. Let us know what you think after you return.. ๐Ÿ™‚
  16. I did the same thing, and saw all the menus ๐Ÿ™‚
  17. To be fair, it has been marginally entertaining to a degree at times..๐Ÿ™ƒ
  18. I'd like to see that as well, as I'd like to crunch some numbers to determine cost effectiveness of the package. Or if anyone has a good set of recent beverage menus with prices they could share, that would be really helpful.
  19. That's what it is for our sailing next spring, but since DW is a teetotaler; it's really $142 for just me. That is if my public school math skills are correct. That's too steep in my book ๐Ÿ˜•
