  1. Pretty clear from your post that was just a mistake. No need to give you a guilt trip.
  2. I’d look at the total price of the cruise and compare it to the other line’s offerings. If Oceania cruise is priced favorably I would not think much about inclusions.
  3. Well, breaking any of the rules that you mentioned would never demonstrate the best behavior. Some of them would affect more than others the enjoyment of those around you on the ship.
  4. The rules are what they are for. Most will understand. But if you decide not to follow it’s most likely no one on Oceania ships will stop you for this particular one.
  5. Package specified “with lunch and dinner only”. You always can have a bottle of wine in your cabin to drink without paying a corkage fee.
  6. Yes, I have tried both Lavazza and Illy… and some other brands. We’re very particular about our coffee and prefer to buy it as fresh as possible from the small batch roasters locally. Also, we don’t use Nespresso pods. And by the way, I think here in US Illy brand is more expensive to buy and many people would prefer it over Lavazza.
  7. If any course that you order will be not to your liking let your server know and they will gladly replace it with something else.
  8. Probably not for the person who is trying to stay asleep early in the morning and not wanting to get to the first tender ashore.
  9. That happened to us before. In some occasions early in the morning when arriving in port early as well. Some cabins are closer to loudspeakers in the hallways than others so you can also hear them inside. Take a note of that cabins for the future bookings if it bothers you.
  10. Did you hear the announcements on the speakers inside your stateroom? Normally, they are translated from the hallway outside your room. Also, it’s very rare that they started as early as 7am. Most likely complaining to the front desk won’t resolve the problem. You can try to talk to the GM about it and see if that may help.
  11. I’d think to be competitive Oceania needs to revamp their air department. Once they came out with very attractive PE promotions which seems not to be a case anymore. Their BIZ Class fares never were good especially when compared with some other lines. A lot of people don’t want to fly economy while booking upscale cruise lines. Doing your own air using cash or rewards miles just became too difficult and expensive lately. Paying more for air than the regular cabin cruise fare itself doesn’t seem right. It’s time for Oceania to use their consolidator power to offer more attractive upper class airfare which proved to be a good business model for others luxury and premium cruise lines.
  12. Looks like another money saver move from Oceania. I’d prefer Illy brand over Lavazza as it was served on the O ships before.
  13. I also prefer to drink my coffee “Italian” way espresso or cappuccino when it’s appropriate. I believe that it’s what you “call” coffee. But there’re many others who like an “americano” and it’s not necessary a bad coffee, just different from what you like. Definitely doesn’t shock me at all, neither it seems funny to me.
  14. This thread is about the cabin selection. I noticed that you started another thread, where you’ll have a better chance of getting your questions answered.
  15. Three large suitcases for one week? It might be a New York Fashion Show on this cruise 😀
  16. Since all are paying for the ship excursions under SimplyMore now it’s probably the time for Oceania to organise excursions for the passengers with limited mobility separately from the regular tours in some ports where it’s possible. Maybe arrange an accessible bus going to the same sights. It’s not a good idea to make regular tours available to these people as it will significantly slow down the other participants making a negative impact on their experiences.
  17. It’s actually Oceania LOYALTY Program, so they decided to award for the loyalty to the cruise line by the number of cruises taken and in some way for the time spent onboard, but not for the amount of money spent.
  18. I understand that you booked BIZ Class to Singapore through Oceania, right? I’m interested in what was the price compared to booking on your own. Thank you.
  19. There was some change. Anyway, I assume you will have to go with what is your invoice FP date and the terms and conditions but not with something that you can read on the website.
  20. Congratulations!!! You seem to be an expert in sales and upgrades.
  21. If something is not to your liking you don’t have to eat it. Just ask for anything else and they will bring it to you right away.
  22. No matter how you slice it you get the same. $50 x 2 = $100 The best thing if you cruise more you get $250, $400 etc… Very few fares are excluded which normally are not available to the general public anyway.
  23. Did you have a chance to meet Oceania Ambassador on board. Can you please find out how booking onboard will work in light of the new cancellation policy. Particularly if one time change to the different cruise without loosing the administrative fee is still allowed before a certain time prior to the start of the cruise. Enjoy your cruise.
  24. I can answer your question about caviar. We’ve got exactly the same caviar offerings on all of our Oceania cruises pre- or post-covid. They used to have Sunday Brunches with pretty much unlimited caviar, but it’s been long time ago. With rare exceptions we always enjoyed the other food as well. Enjoy the rest of your cruise.
