  1. You’re welcome. And your wife is a saint. Z and TB
  2. I wish it were that easy! The expectation is that wherever I go, so do the suitcases. Therefore, I must have diverted to Colombia with one of my bags on our way home from Sweden to Miami Airport. I’ll take some extra FF miles any day. Z and TB
  3. Great thread and pics! Thank you so much for taking us along in your cruise. You write very well and detailed accounts. Safe travels home. Z and TB
  4. Absolutely! I am surprised it wasn’t taken. Now waiting to get rid of this crud so I can have some. Z and TB
  5. Thanks! The luggage picked up more frequent flyer miles than me. They made platinum on this trip. Z and TB
  6. We can now call an end to this thread since the last piece of luggage finally arrived late yesterday. As you can tell, we are real fans of this line and find most discrepancies to be minor. We met a couple who disliked the food. I don’t get it because there is so much to choose from. I admit that two of my steaks were disappointing, but it wasn’t the end of the world. The level of service was spot on and there is nothing negative to say. The crew was attentive, friendly, and professional at all times. That’s all for now since I picked up some sort of crud and am on the way to Urgent Care this morning. Thank you all for joining us and sharing our adventure. You, too Ken. Z and TB
  7. Sorry to hijack your thread. But, is your call sign related to The Citadel? If so, I graduated in 82 from India Company. I hope you get a response to your question. Z and TB
  8. Please do not feed her ego any more than necessary. She buys from QVC. Check out Susan Graber and a line called Women with Control. TB says you just made her week. Thank you! Z and TB
  9. I hope you enjoy your cruise as much as we enjoyed ours. We disembarked last Friday in Stockholm and made sure the ship was restocked on ginger ale which is my favorite mixer. Good to see another live report. Have a wonderful cruise! Z and TB
  10. You are our Regent cruise sense. I would not have known the wonders of sticky buns and TB would never know a good Cosmo without your sage words of wisdom. Z and TB
  11. I just found out that one piece is being dropped of today and the other piece decided to take a trip to Cali, Colombia. Unbelievable. Z and TB
  12. I got yelled at for asking security where BA was located. I even got a cramp in my hand trying to cut my steak. Z and TB
  13. Nice to read your comments in regards to our luggage fiasco. I am deeply concerned because there is a bottle of gin I put in my suitcase which I had decided to liberate it from its oppression and bring it home. I filed for adoption and naming it Hendricks. As I write this, I am on hold with AA. Apparently, one suitcase is supposed to be delivered sometime between now and the Presidential elections and the other went from Miami to Charlotte because Charlotte sounds a lot like Port St Lucie. I can’t make this stuff up. Rant time: listen up Regent (Cedric). Why weren’t there any sticky buns served on the breakfast buffet? I live for those. TB got the vapors on day three from lack of sticky buns. I pay for my cabin just to have access to them. I expect a partial reimbursement or at least a dozen sticky buns as compensation. You can send them through American Airlines along with my luggage. Z and TB
  14. We booked our own business class travel also. But, alas, just like Icarus, we crashed and burned. Still trying to get a status on my luggage and cannot get anyone to update us. I appreciate the advice and I will get myself a drink as soon as I can get some answers. Z and TB
  15. I need to vent. What was a wonderful trip has turned out to be a total traveling home disaster. I should have known when I tried to tackle that steak that was so tough, it had tattoos. Our flight from JFK departed two hours late and then decided to give us a one hour tour of the Miami airport upon landing. To make it worse, we stood in line for another hour trying to claim our luggage since it arrived four hours before us. We were told it would be located and delivered home. I just got off the phone and AA is saying we need to drive two hours to pick up luggage. That’s not happening. We got home after 0200 on Sunday when we should have been home by 1700 on Saturday. Not happy. Will provide my thoughts later. Z and TB
  16. I don’t understand. Are you in Cazenovia or are you with a casanova? Wondering if you had an auto correct issue. Z and TB
  17. Third from the right for me! We can arm wrestle for it. Z and TB
  18. I hate travel. We are in JFK waiting for our next flight and went through one of the worst travel experiences. To make it worse, I’m cranky because I had a steak on our flight that I could not cut. JFK: it needs some serious sprucing up. It has a lot of dirty walls. The MPC line is supposed to be expedited when going through immigration but was on turtle express speed. Our luggage is somewhere over the Atlantic. Finally, security was what we called in the military a CF. It was a mess. We have one more flight and a two hour car ride. Pray for us. Z and TB
  19. OUR FLIGHT GOT CANCELLED! On Thursday evening, we had a wonderful last dinner at Pacific Rim. Upon disembarking, we had a lovely tour of Stockholm. Then things went south. Stockholm-Arlanda airport has no signage. No one had a clue on where the specific check ins were located. To make it worse, there was no food for purchase prior to check in. Poor little old me was wasting away after being Regent spoiled with chow. We waited four hours with two other couples to check in. We finally got a bite to eat at the lounge (again, no signs to find it). We got to our hotel around 2100 totally exhausted. I checked my emails before going to bed and found out that our BA non-stop flight to Miami was cancelled. Fortunately, we were rescheduled to fly home on AA via JFK. Unfortunately, our luggage was checked in non-stop to Miami on BA. I’m down to my last pair of undies at this time. We found an angel called Robin at the LHR AA First class check in who worked her magic to unscrew some flight snafus and reroute our luggage. We are now at the Flagship lounge having a little champagne and waiting for our flight home. Z and TB
  20. Good Morning. Well, we are getting close to hanging up my pen and paper. Today is our last day before we disembark. The next two days will be long ones as we fly to London for an overnight then home on Saturday. There is a threat of rain today. But, I’m trusting the tour fairies to keep us dry. We had a slight mishap yesterday. TB/ Inga lost her tennis bracelet. It could have been while in town or swimming laps. We reported it to Regent who sent a search party to our room. They left nothing unturned. Lo and behold, some kind soul found it near the pool bar and returned it. We got it back around 2200 and TB was happier than a pig in mud. Last night was another great dinner. TB had mushroom soup and lobster risotto. I had the soup, salad, and a steak and lobster. Of course, we had to split dessert. Today: tour of Helsinki and the great packing event. Z and TB
  21. Negative. Not even a drop. I am forced to drink Mount Bay rum. I am off life support until I get home. Z and TB
  22. Today, we are in Tallin the capital of Estonia. We cancelled our tour today due to the weather being pretty hot and took the shuttle into town. With three ships in port, the old town was one giant mob. Regardless, we walked around and took some pics of the cobblestoned streets and medieval buildings. This is a very photogenic city full of restaurants and shops. From Passages: Sad to report that we are now down to two more nights left in this cruise. It has been excellent in every way from the weather, food, and service. Tomorrow: Helsinki Z and TB
  23. Good Morning! We are on our way to Tallin, Estonia with an expected docking time of 1200. It is another beautiful and sunny day with temperatures up to 80 F. Yesterday was a sea day and we did nothing but eat and sleep with a happy hour or two in between naps. After writing this blog, I went back to bed until 1030. TB and I strapped on the feed bags and went to the Tex-Mex lunch buffet and it was not bad, just a little too salty for my taste. After a well deserved nap, I went to the pool bar to see what I could rustle up. We had dinner reservations at Chartruese were we had another great meal. We both had the same items, being Alaskan crab app, the silky smooth mushroom soup, and the halibut. We decided to break tradition and went to the show! It was hosted by John O’Hurley who entertained us with stories and songs. You may know him as Mr. Peterman from Seinfeld. (Photo taken from internet) Overall, it was another great sea day! Z and TB
  24. This is what we had for dinner last night. Pam had the bread and risotto, I had the Caesar salad, crab and avocado salad , and cod fish and filet. All the entrees were awesome and melted my bones. Z and TB ihad the cedar salad
