  1. I was thinking the same thing. Our first cruise was in 1983 and correct, there was no beverage package. Pretty sure that in 2003, 2010, 2015, and many other years we cruised, there was no beverage or dining packages. The only ones making out with these is RCCL. What a waste of money.
  2. Me neither. I always request ahead and they have always been in the cabin when we get there.
  3. I agree, not worth it. My suggestion is don't buy it, drink what you really what, and see how it prices against paying the outrageous package price. Then on your next cruise, you will know which is best for you. People will order more drinks than they normally would simply because they feel they must justify the package cost. Have a great cruise.
  4. Has anyone used both of these two parking facilities? Thanks
  5. We have two cruises booked for 2024 and they are our last ones for sure. Too many other vacation ideas which we've been overlooking because cruises were convenient and reasonably priced. We cannot afford cruises any more.
  6. Correct about the MDR screwing up drink charges. Now we get a drink at a bar and carry it to the MDR.
  7. If you have a problem with gratuities to the people that work so hard to make your cruise so enjoyable, maybe you should consider camping instead of cruising. Most people tip beyond the required amounts.
  8. Do you know how far out? We're just over 30 days. TIA
  9. How can you find out what restaurants are open for lunch on boarding day, and the time they open?
  10. Especially Chops. We quit going there years ago because price got to be ridiculous and the food quality kept be lowered. Only Giovanni's for us
  11. If you are able and willing to pay the price of a cruise, it seems silly to me to go through the inconvenience of carrying water on board. Buy the bottles from RCL and have them delivered to your cabin. It's 20 bucks, more or less. And drink ship's water, it's great.
  12. Have to agree. We sailed Oasis out of Miami in early 2020. I loved their parking garage, but everything else in Miami sucks, to me. Never going back. We've been sailing out of Port Canaveral for many years. Look around for smaller bars & restaurants. There's plenty there. And we can drive there in 7 hours.
  13. Does Park Port Canaveral leave more space between cars? How is it better. I need to book some place for an April cruise. Thanks
  14. Two toilets? Never been on Anthem but have had several J4's on different class ships, never 2 toilets.
  15. It's gotten to where Royal's phone reps are the worst to ask about most things.
  16. https://parkncruiseportcanaveral.com/ As you said, we, too, have used this lot several times but not for 4-5 years. We would drive in, stop under the canopy, unload the baggage, board the shuttle and they would park our car. We plan to use them next Apr and wondered if their procedure was the same. I appreciate your response.
  17. And double points. Nothing else except a larger cabin, which is nice.
  18. I think most any restaurant is better than Chops. Prices keep going up and quality & service keep coming down.
  19. We got to the drop off area about 10:35. Our boarding time was 11:00
  20. Although we are handicapped, we were forced to park in a lot, requiring quite a lengthy walk, because the garage was full. We arrived on a Sunday. So don't count on their garage since 3 ships are sailing from the pier.
  21. Excellent point. That's how I drink Scotch and Tequila. Sipping, not swallow it all. Only reason to drink top shelf booze.
