  1. The gluten free bread on the Divination was like eating regular bread, the best we've had on any cruise line, and the pasta was good.

Also they will prepare a box lunch to take off the ship that is gluten free.

  2. The gluten free bread on Harmony is the best ever! I wish that I had their recipes!

I was sorely disappointed by the gluten free bread selection on the Adventure after having what I consider to be the best gluten free breads I've ever had on the MSC Divina. So spongy, like the gluten laden stuff.

However we are appreciative of its availability as well as many other choices. On my survey I did express these same thoughts. Thanks for providing this service but have a RCI employee cruise with MSC and steal their recipe.:D

  3. We've easily made a 9:30 flight by self disembarking and a 10:20 flight as one of the first groups off the ship. We had Global Entry but there were only two lines, with and without porters so it did not come into play. we've never waited to go through the agricultural inspection and arrive at least 2 hours in advance of flight times.

  4. Hi! I know this thread is from last year, but I want to see if there are any recent experiences to share for Adventure OTS disembarkation and flights from SJU.

I am looking at an 11:20 am SW flight; the next one is 3:30 pm. Royal Caribbean said that any flight after 11:00 is okay, but I am concerned this is pushing it if we do not do self disembarkation. How do you get to be in one of the first groups off the ship; do they take into account your flight time?

Does TSA pre-check/Global Entry get you any priority in the Ag line?

    Thank you!!

The AG Line has never been an issue but the GE won't help, TSA precheck is your best friend. I had Global entry for my March cruise and there were two lines, one with porters and those without. We were given the first or second group off the ship based on flight time. We had a 10:20 AM flight and were there about 8:30 to 9:00.

AA had changed my original flight to 9:00 so changed to the 10:20 flight without issues.

  5. Thanks. That all makes sense. The ship looks beautiful. I was about to book it until I saw that the bed in the room is only a double. My husband and I would be miserable on that. :(

Its called a double but they are the same width as other cruise lines. I can't sleep on a double with my wife and we had no issues on the Divina. The bed was more comfortable than the beds on the last two RCI cruises we've been on.

  6. I know that isn't true. I have been bringing mine on RCCL for years. While they may be banned on paper, that rule is enforced about as well as the "no shorts in the MDR" rule.

Your reasoning astounds me. So if you managed to sneak candles or knives on board but they weren't found and confiscated then you think Royal or any other cruise line is just giving a wink, wink.

  7. I have just looked at the graphic pictures on the UK MSC site for a Balcony cabin and the Suite, both are identical but the dimensions are different, Balcony 14 sq metres while the Suite is 28 to 33 Sq metres, so the Deck 9 Suite may be 28 and the Aft Suite 33.

I just did a mock booking and the Deck 9 suite is 177 SF room and 172 SF balcony, the aft suite is 275 SF and 150 SF.

  8. "We'd never been here before so just like the other ABC islands, we didn't know what to expect. I had read a few things about taking the city bus to beaches here but I didn't write that much down about it. When we saw the price of taxis, we decided to start walking in attempt to find the city bus! We wanted to get to Mambo Beach and taxis were showing to be $40. I'm not sure if that's round trip or one way but either way, it's too much!! "

I had your instructions to find the bus but had hurt my heel so we ending up taking the taxi. It was $20 each way but if you had a group of 4 it was the same price. We enjoyed Mambo Beach and Carambola Beach as well thanks for helping me plan our trip.
