Totally disagree with the statement that the room steward would NEVER take anything. The safe is there for a reason and once, on a Celebrity cruise, I left my tanzanite and diamond dinner ring on the desk. It was a few days before I noticed it was gone, admitted it was my fault for not putting it in the safe, and asked the room steward to do a thorough search in case it had fallen behind something. No luck. Security got involved and the cabin was searched top to bottom. The ring was found inside a Bernard Passman bag. However, that bag was only brought onto the ship DAYS AFTER the ring went missing. We assume he stashed it once he realized an official investigation was going to take place.

I have followed this thread and, as with everything in life, you can’t please all the people all the time.

The Grand Princess was YELLOW, according to the CDC Dashboard, which makes sense since it was in dry dock with no passengers. Effective May 12th, just ONE DAY after embarkation, it was elevated to ORANGE with a notation that the CDC is investigating. I really find this hard to believe. Am I missing something? We board May 25th.

Just wondering, if the wifi is as bad as reported, how are the helpful cruisers posting “live from” managing? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Alfredo’s is always open for a nice relaxing lunch on embarkation day but, again, none of the staff want to tell you and it’s not listed on the information provided.

Why didn’t you send the food back? Being served cold food, even if we weren’t paying a surcharge, is not acceptable.

nlcruiser01; thanks for sharing. Sounds like, with a little push and persistence, you were treated well. We were feeling quite confident about our upcoming Alaska cruise, planning on taking all the precautions you did. Guess all you can do is follow all the guidelines and hope for the best!

What day was the scrambled egg Chef’s special? That’s the only day I want to eat in the dining room! 😋 Sabatini’s is CLOSED for dinner? We have reservations during our May 25th cruise on Grand Princess so hope there won’t be any issues.

We weren't allowed to do this on the Regal Princess pre-covid.
