  1. I did purchase it at $140 one last time. We are traveling with my Mom who is Platinum and this puts us on fairly even footing with her. BUT after this cruise I will be Platinum (1 cruise ahead of my husband, thanks to traveling with my Mom) so we won't need it anymore
  2. Last time I was on Horizon I grabbed a table in the back corner of Ocean Plaza - there were a couple that had an outlet by them and I could plug in my laptop and work. Usually there was trivia or something going on in the main area but I could tune that out fairly well. There was a bar handy and usually a waiter would come around and keep my drink filled and I had a wonderful ocean view
  3. First off - I didn't do it on the ship and I wouldn't (nor would I do it on land) but I did go and get a massage and facial on my last cruise (2 weeks ago) and while I was waiting to make my appt I did hear them talking and at least one of the technicians working in that area is an RN or an IV trained nurse of some sort. I was not listening completely and I was interrupted to make my appointment but it didn't sound like it was just someone randomly sticking IV needles in someone, who has no idea what they are doing
  4. Don't cancel online - call and cancel with your PVP or with customer service and you might avoid the extra fees
  5. you have to look under balconies when you are looking to book one of these rooms ( you can look under interiors, but I usually find them under balconies more often) but they do book very quickly. We have a PVP who helps us with our bookings and he was able to help us book 4 cabanas on the Vista last Oct (2023) for a Dec 2024 sailing and I was very surprised that we were able to get 4 of them on a sailing 1 week before Xmas 1 year out
  6. and it was sold out for my Dec 2024 cruise on the Vista shortly after going live - I could not get enough tickets for every one in my party
  7. When you do your check in before hand you can assign whatever payment method you want for each person. So when we check in - i will have my credit card, my brother in law will have his own, and in the other cabin, my husband will have the same credit card I do and my sister in law will have whatever card they choose for her to use because those are all set up at check in. And to make it more fun, I unusually take cash with us and go down to guest services the 2nd to last day and basically pay off all our charges so we have pretty much a $0 balance and nothing goes on our credit cards, they are just there as a final back up
  8. yep, just actually did this with my husband and myself and my step-brother and his wife (my husband/my sister-in-law in one cabin, myself and my step-brother in one cabin) the only catch is you have to go stand in line at guest services to get extra cabin keys on the first day so you can get into the correct cabins for the whole week
  9. I live in So Dakota and it costs more for the airline ticket than it does for the cruise
  10. It doesn't have to do with your booking matching your ID when you board the ship but when you are debarking your cruise and are going through customs - if you are traveling on a birth certificate and a drivers license you have to be able to bridge the name change for the government to be allowed to re-enter the United States. If you travel with a passport you have already provided all that proof
  11. @Saint Greg I noticed when you were up by Loft 19 there was a sign that said cabanas available today. do you know what the daily price was for a cabana? I got an offer for a full week (my Mom and I are on the week of the 11th) and about had a heart attach at the price so I wondered what a day pass was costing?
  12. As long as they are of the age to use the kids clubs, I know Club O2 and Circle C both have multiple video game setups for the kids to use (playstation, Xbox and Nintendo)
  13. We go to Grand Turk in about 40 days and I had to double check that my Mom met their definition of fully vaccinated (need to make sure she didn't need a booster shot). On their web site they state that Proof of vaccination (a digital or a paper copy) to be shown upon arrival I would guess when you get off the ship if you cannot produce a proof of vaccination you will not be allowed off of the ship
