  1. May one clarify? The discussion with OP was on the potential transfer by train and one mentioned a train being about £100 more for 2 pax, but less hassle. But one’s post did successfully generate the required information on prices. So a win-win
  2. Agreed, a people carrier will be about the same total price of a cab to the station, then 4 tickets. No train, no angst.
  3. Nothing direct, minimum 1 change. Take a cab it’s about £100 per couple more, but less hassle. But know CC will suggest cab companies with prices.
  4. May one suggest flying from Southampton Airport to Paris. Could save a lot of hastle.
  5. Here’s a link previous thread with budget suggestions…..
  6. Note to self… next visit - $170 gets - https://adventureantigua.com/activities/the-xtreme-circumnav/ - which includes the visit to Stingray, Sightseeing, Lunch, drinks etc., etc.,
  7. One can recommend The Mango Tree - Check out the Chef’s Specials (tastebud joys) on the daily board - but do book early for that very desirable front row table overlooking the Pitons. BIL & SIL took a Buffet lunch at The View as part of a private tour a few years ago, which they enjoyed with a distance view of The Pitons I will invite @reedprincess to suggest alternatives for consideration, being excellent for both food and views. Enjoy checking out the Websites, the photos, the Menus and the ambiance in making a selection, but with a big note to self, do book early for a prime view table.
  8. @cruisemom42 has suggest https://sharedshuttle.it Personally, would contact Rome Cabs for a transport only price and a tour. In no doubt other CC members will also give advice.
  9. https://acs-sxm.co Take a look at photo gallery on Trip Advisor
  10. They will assist….. https://discoverdominica.com/en/contact-us
  11. We shall have our own wardrobes. Not going to wear someone’s pre-worn.
  12. Registered when the previous Titanic opened, which then disappeared into a black hole. So would be interested, but will await the official opening of registration. Also, will wish to see a confirmation of the official dress code.
  13. Yes - About 25/30 minutes for an able bodied person from port to door. Water taxi does get one closer, although still 15 minutes on foot. But the total time taken by ferry to first queue to pay, then queue to board, then move, is longer than the walk to midtown jetty. Take a cab from port to door.
  14. Think an independent tour, including transport, was sold at about $60 pp 2 years ago. But with price increases consider it now being $70 pp
  15. Island Man is popular with land vacationers and cruisers, so do suggest an early exchange and booking.
  16. Link to Mourne Rouge Beach - https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g147295-d148379-Reviews-Morne_Rouge-Grenada.html
  17. Link to a previous LP thread -
  18. LP is on BBC Beach, which is at the northern point of Mourne Rouge. And yes, the views are stunning. Plus S.H.T. Never ventures that far. One’s custom at LP will be greatly appreciated. Link- https://www.facebook.com/Laplywood Grand Anse is not the place it was. It’s now Babylon and getting more expensive as the years pass. Some have posted also rudeness has increased. The best place to eat on GA was Umbrellas, but to get a front row table on the balcony will now be a long wait. Also, heard that the food quality has dropped. GA is only considered THE place, because it’s cheap and easy to get there, either by ferry or cab. Some even walk. Because liquid sunshine may appear towards the end of the day, suggest purchasing cheap, pocket folded, plastic Ponchos, just in case Enjoy the beauty of this island and it’s people.
  19. Very fair point. But then the OP will probably be seeking a “2 Tray” solution to the problem.😊
  20. Although have occasionally observed it, one is at a loss to understand what is enjoyable, seen as a must do. To first have the thought, then to deliberately walk to the buffet, browse, load a tray with food, drink, napkins, cutlery etc.. The carefully carry (avoiding spills) the load all the way back to a stateroom. To then have to juggle the tray and it’s contents whilst performing contortions to open a door. Just a big no-no
  21. Know @reedprincess will kindly respond. One can recommend from personal experience https://mysticmantours.com/tour-item/catamaran-charters/
  22. Now fully understand, one will be visiting the Buffet for self selection. Therefore, when browsing completed consider asking a member of the wait staff to carry the tray back to one’s stateroom. Then one can hold open the door to allow the carrier to enter and place the laden tray on the table of one’s balcony.
  23. St Kitts has never been thought of as a good place for snorkelling. Best one can expect is poor, especially when the tides have removed or thrown up sand. Which regularly occurs. Take a snorkel tour. Failing that a day at the Marriott or a short hop to Nevis.
  24. Have room service deliver. Then when they attend, open door, wait staff will carry through to balcony for one. Simples….
  25. If one is seeking something different and genteel on next visit, then consider https://www.cocobeach.restaurant
