  1. Good call…. Can one suggest the Main of their Seafood Paella for two sharing. It’s hand made with care to order, but be prepared to wait 30/40 minutes before serving, because that’s how long it takes the Chef. Time for leisurely cocktail and starter.
  2. Additional The Mezzanine close by has a happy hour(s) starting from 4 pm
  3. Marmalade. Take the wine pairing menu. They can also prepare a cocktail menu to suit.
  4. One’s contract is between one and the TA. Try asking Cunard… But feel one may be referred to TA
  5. If booked direct with Cunard then there should be no problem. Have no idea what one’s conditions are with the TA, or what arrangements the TA has with Cunard. It might be the TA has a Charter deal only with Cunard. Best speak with one’s TA.
  6. If wishing a full land tour… Contact Beautiful Barbados for a bespoke full day tour to one’s requirements. It can include a Bajan Lunch (consider Juju’s) and rum/drinks (possibly at a local rum shack close to Juju’s)
  7. Try the telephone, as there may have been a connection problem with their system.
  8. Is it just a popular beach with bed rental, or does one require a more discerning upmarket dining/day experience? If you wish a totally "SHT” free experience with a Beach, then your list for considereration is: Jacqui O's - Not as yet open Cecilia's Catherine's Café Without a Beach then "Sheer Rocks" - with a Pool Day Pass - Various options All at various price points - Book your Lunch/Day in advance for all. For a luxury all inclusive option, then Curtain Bluff is the best, but do contact them inadvance to discover if they have spare capacity. Also, take a tour of the accommodation, for future booking consideration.
  9. Never experienced it. However, any good experience that can involve children and be interesting will sell out fast. Therefore, suggest booking online in advance, rather than face disappointment on the day.
  10. Most scheduled flights allow one to pay for an extra suitcase, being cheaper in advance rather than at check-in. But check with one’s carrier and ticket conditions. Prices vary. No idea on charter flights, but Cunard will have the answer.
  11. An interaction and close engagement with a non-housetrained monkey, possibly infected with God knows what, for what is thought to be great entertainment, is so Carambola. Pass and leave it to the SHT (Ship crew, Herds, Towels) there.
  12. One always books via Cunard, as one can upgrade flight seats and luggage etc. at a reasonable price. Ask for a quote when booking. Look to arrive at least a day prior to cruise for peace of mind. Also, consider flying midweek for a weekend sail as the flight will be reduced and make a contribution towards one’s hotel for sight seeing. Make the hotel booking oneself, because Cunard overcharge for junk rooms per person and not always in a good position.
  13. With the timings being rescheduled backwards, it appears first sitting has now become High Tea. One’s late Grandmother would have made comment on the perceived breach of protocol with “Oh my - It’s so wrong” .
  14. One seems to remember seeing a discount offered some time ago, but do not know if it’s a regular thing. But, one used to be able to use OBC. No doubt CC members actually onboard now will assist with current answers. Take the private taxi….Much better journey.
  15. A personal point view so eloquently put.
  16. Although, fully agree there is flexibility, but one does not book BC solely for the this aspect. It’s the total Cunard BC dining experience, from service excellence to flambé. So old school and one does not do queues, if they can be avoided. We tried PG, but very happy with BC, because allows more Cunard Voyages to be taken per year on, what appears to be, our second homes. Our best year to date (pre COVID) is 173 nights.
  17. One may have misunderstood , but on reading CC posts, it appears there is no pre booking of actual time, one rocks up, joins a queue for the MD to be allocated the required table size. If none available, one is given a pager for summoning when one’s request is available. There could be a longish wait on pager hold. Also, if one had a good dining experience the previous evening, wishing the same waitstaff, one will be seated in the general area, if not the actual table. Again may be subject to pager. Corrections accepted. Personal note: Still don’t get why so many cruisers like freestyle, as this, in one’s HOPO, could not be considered being part of the ambiance of a total Cunard experience. It’s just eating. But it is what it is.
  18. Pleased one mentioned dining staff, as they are also not fully happy with flexible, because their additional gratuities are almost non existent when there.
  19. No idea… Give them a call in Martinique Phone: 0596 63 06 46
  20. Looked online There is nothing from the authorised organisation, so nobody on CC will know Try contacting them direct for up to date prices. http://taxistmaarten.com/zones-rates/
  21. Thank you for this information. Checked and it’s called Princess Plus (supplement), so maybe they legitimately considered the Cunard Fare differential contained the supplement for all inclusive. Which may not hold true. We are now in a totally different scenario, where there is no sympathy. The direction, for clarity, is appreciated.
  22. It’s also confusing for some first timers on Cunard, migrating from Princess, with regard to their end of cruise drinks bill. With claims “Thought Cunard was all inclusive like Princess” at GS. Understandable.
  23. Agree there are plenty of tables for two in Britannia, but one understood the OP requirement was for a “Fixed” table for two in Britannia, fully reserved in Britannia “Anytime”.
  24. Correction to previous post. In Britannia sadly no, only in Britannia Club one can.
