  1. last month on our Panorama cruise, my sister's mother in law tested positive. Because my sister and her mother in law did not live together Carnival had no problem letting my sister still go on the cruise.
  2. I have been on 18 cruises without a passport or travel insurance with no instances. I fail to see how a passport or travel insurance would help you when it is a Carnival ship problem. Carnival will get you home.
  3. We have been on 18 cruises with Birth Certificate and DL's. My wife has not once been asked to show her marriage certificate.
  4. They placed multiple $ 200 holds on my credit card during a 7 day Panorama cruise. The holds were more than my settlement charge at the end of the cruise.
  5. On our Panorama Cruise a couple weeks ago, my wife and sister went to the piano bar and the singer refused to sing Sweet Caroline. She tore up the request paper. I thought that was a piano bar staple.
  6. On our December cruise we lost a lot of money in the casino. No real special offers. On the Panorama last week, both my wife and I received a bounce back offer for a free ocean view room. We both won money on this cruise.
  7. We had to wear a mask in the Long Beach terminal. Everyone took them off once we boarded. Also, Verifly, does not store your boarding pass. You still need to have a printed copy.
  8. Real ID being extended to May 2023 doesn't apply to cruises. Where does say closed loop cruises will need passports in May 2023?
  9. Looking forward to another great review. My goal in life is to be on a cruise with Saint Greg. I recommend eating at the Crap Pot on Pier 57.
  10. I was just on the Panorama last week. Our sailing was 2 sea days with Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlán, Cabo in that order. On Sunday they announce to move our clocks forward one hour. Ship time was now on Puerto Vallarta time. We didn't move back until the last sea day to Pacific time. All ports were on mountain time which was the ship time. So no confusion.
  11. I was on the Panorama last week. We purchased the $5 chat but sometimes messages don't show up in real time. For some reason though our I message worked so I was able to just send text messages to those in our groups with I phones. First time ever this worked without an internet plan.
  12. I was on this same Cruise. There was an issue with long lines during embarkation. Since we were platinum, this wasn't an issue for us. However, others in our group did have to wait about 2 hours to get on board because of the long lines. They didn't board until 3:00 pm. I didn't see any issues with ship being dirty. The staff was constantly cleaning. We did encounter some wait time at sea day brunch if you went around 10-10:30 am. Before or after I didn't see any lines. My wife had orange juice and I also saw several people with orange juice. Not sure why the OP didn't get any. We did see long lines at guest services especially the day the gratuities posted to everyone's account. I have been on 17 cruises and have never seen roaches. Overall it was a great cruise. I would sail this ship again. My only complaint was we were not in Cabo long enough.
  13. We just got back from the Panorama sailing last week. We used DL and Birth Certificate with no issues.
  14. downloaded the app and so far it is a breeze. Only thing for me to do is upload our test results tomorrow. We board on Saturday in Long Beach.
  15. Although I don't drink and am not a "partier", I like the overall vibe and energy of a carnival cruise. People are having a good time and the night life is vibrant. I was on the Dream in December and 4 day on the Breeze in July and didn't witness bad behavior.
  16. I have been on 16 carnival cruises and haven't seen the things mentioned. I would venture to say these kind of things also happen on RCL and Norwegian. People drink to much and fight with relatives regardless of class distinction. I was on a celebrity cruise once and your right it was much more civil. Of course there was no night life and everyone was in bed by 9pm. I was 52 at the time and I felt young on the cruise.
  17. On our vista cruise pre-covid, they gave us a separate key that would open the sliding door to the Cabana room. Never had to leave it unlocked.
  18. Sorry about your experience. I was on the dream in December and it was great. No problems with Crew or any time dining. Granted we were not on a full sailing. My guess is Carnival has increased guest capacity but still hasn't increased crew levels to pre-pandemic.
