  1. Thanks. We did book with a private helicopter company that will pick us up at the port. They are flying over the Jurassic water fall. They land at the waterfall on some flights, however, not on Sundays when we are there. I am glad they have a seafood shack type. I only eat the fried Shrimp. My DW likes the crab legs.
  2. Even I have had great service at the table games with drink on us and I usually only water with maybe one alcohol drink per day. I do tip a $1 per water. I find the servers will seek me out.
  3. Does anyone know where they play the movies on the Miracle?
  4. Some ships have a 10 and 12 seat table but they are limited. When my DW and I go by ourselves we had no problems getting a private table for 2 using Your time dining there is an option in the Hub app to select shared or not shared table. Not sure how set dining time works.
  5. Thanks for the review. I am doing this cruise next month. I hope we don't have any issues with cancelling a port. I have a helicopter tour scheduled for Kauai. Someone said at the Lido buffet there is a section where they have sea food items for sale, similar to the Seafood Shack on other Carnival Ships. Did you happen to notice? Also, did they have more than one Heads Up Hold Em table?
  6. I prepaid a massage for my DW on our upcoming cruise. I will definitely be looking at my on board charges closely after her massage. Thanks for the heads up. I hope you get it resolved.
  7. I like Mr. Sanchos beach. They have an all inclusive side and an Al carte side. the all inclusive side you can make reservations ahead of time. They also have massage tents if you want a massage.
  8. what about having to make reservations before you get on the ship? I don't like to plan things out ahead of time and stick to a schedule. How does that work with restaurants?
  9. You are correct, there are not any private beaches. That is why they cannot stop the parade of people trying sell you something or beg for money.
  10. Yes, there is lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance from the port. I know you said no beach, but you can walk to the beach also. Right past Margaritaville.
  11. I would do the Eastern. In St. Thomas we took a cab to the ferry and went to St. Johns Trunk Bay.
  12. My DW has never been asked to show here marriage license. We have used the birth certificate on 17 cruises.
  13. In Texas, the ship must serve liquor purchased in Texas and charge sales tax. Royal must not have a problem switching out the bottles after midnight, where Carnival waits until the next day.
  14. We were on the Ecstasy in 2010 they showed the super bowl in the main theater. They also had lots of food set up buffet style. @Saint Greg was probably at the game.
  15. When I did the credit card last year it had to be Carnival. We paid off a cruise for around $600 and received the statement credit a month or so later. Seemed pretty quick on the credit.
  16. I would pick the Vista for the Havana area also.
  17. Are you flying Spirit? I know St. Greg likes flying Spirit. I flew them once and had such a bad experience I am afraid to try them again. However, with the positive reviews from Greg I may have to try them again. Mostly try and fly out Love Field whenever possible.
  18. I agree on the separate room for teenager's. We took our son and 2 of his friends once, they had a separate room. I went to their room one time and it was stinky. No way could I have shared a room with them.
  19. We had this happen on the Panorama last May. First time I had ever seen it. the crew came out and cleaned the Havana area right away. I am nut sure how quickly they cleaned the balconies above Havana.
  20. When my DW received the drinks on us everywhere offer, I only received the drinks on us while playing in the casino. The everywhere offer didn't extend to me. In Galveston, the casino host said once the casino opened she could get drinks anywhere on the ship on embarkation day. Also the DOU while playing worked the first night. Others have said DOU everywhere worked right away.
  21. I am on the Miracle next month. I hope they have something similar to the seafood shack on the buffet.
  22. We booked a Hawaii cruise over a year ago on my DW's casino offer. Free interior room with $200 free play for her only. Last week we both received a better casino offer and we were able to switch our room to the Interior with obstructed view on the 4th floor and we both received $500 free play and free drinks everywhere. We only had to pay $38 more because the port fees and gratuities were slightly higher. We did go on 2 cruises after our booking and we did spend way to much time in the casino on the last cruise in May. We leave in February. I just kept doing mock bookings to see if I could upgrade our room.
  23. I don't think the Miracle has a seafood shack. It does have a Guy's Burger and Blue Iguana Cantina.
