  1. I would not expect many changes before 2020 aside from the ongoing Liberty/Valor swap, which could be reversed if Liberty is repaired, and then the Splendor/Miracle swap in 2018.

If Horizon goes to Galveston, I could see a ship move from Galveston to Fort Lauderdale. Given that Florida's east coast is the industry's center stage, I would still expect Horizon to head to Fort Lauderdale.

In 2020, I would expect the new LNG ship to head to Miami. Vista gets moved to Port Canaveral and joins Magic in sailing year-round from there. Liberty takes the New York/Norfolk/Charleston routes from Sunshine, which are expanded to cover the entire year. Sunshine goes year-round in Baltimore, and then Pride moves its summer service to Boston while continuing to winter in Tampa.

In 2022, the second LNG ship gets home ported in Miami. Victory moves to Mobile, and then Fantasy moves to Galveston.

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note7 using Tapatalk. Hey, do you smell anything burning?

The spirit class ships are the largest ships which can sail from Baltimore. So you won't see the Sunshine sailing from Baltimore.

  2. The Ecstasy is going in for dry dock from 1/10/17 - 1/24/17. Details are unknown yet, but she already has RedFrog Rum Bar and the Blue Iguana Tequila Bar. I would assume she would be getting Guys & Blue Iguana Cantina was well as Alchemy Bar and Cherry on Top since the last 2 Fantasy class ships to go into dry dock got all of these enhancements.

  3. Here's from goccl.

    Carnival Imagination Dry Dock: 9/04/16 - 9/22/16

In addition to routine hotel maintenance and cosmetic enhancements in lounges and public areas such as new carpeting, wall coverings, tile work and lighting, the following will take place:

Guy’s Burger Joint (replace food service: Off the Grill and Rotisierre)

BlueIguana Cantina (replace food service: Mongolian Wok)

RedFrog Rum Bar (replace pool bar)

BlueIguana Tequila Bar (replace pool bar)

    Alchemy Bar (replace Pinnacle Bar)

Cherry On Top (replace Special Occasion)

    Crew area renovations

According to that site, the Mongolian Wok is going to be eliminated.

  4. Just add EarlyBird check-in to your returning Southwest flight. Guarantees you an "A15-60" boarding pass without doing anything else.

I always do this on return flights when cruising.

Southwest doesn't limit the amount of Early Bird passes they sell. So depending on how many people purchase them, you could end up getting a "B" boarding pass.

  5. I was thinking it would be gone also and I was bummed because I love the Wok, which is why I asked John the question. I'm still thinking it will be gone, I don't think there is enough space to keep it, but I'll report for sure when we get home next Sunday after sailing on her

Okay great! Looking forward to finding out.

Honestly there probably is enough room to keep it in between Guys and Blue Iguana. All they have right now in between is a large desert bar.

The only problem I would foresee if they had Guys, Mongolian Wok, and Blue Iguana outside would be congestion around all the food bars.

  6. I asked John Heald this question on FB and he responded saying the Mongolian Wok will still be available after the upgrades. I guess I will know the real answer this coming Thursday when I step foot on the newly upgraded Imagination :)

I hope so. I'm looking at going on the Imagination later this year. I just got off the Inspiration on Friday and she has Guys and Blue Iguana added but the Mongolian Wok was taken away.

  7. Sorry, there is more a chance that they might be considering bringing Horizon to Long Beach more sending her to China. That's a fact. The reason that I'm thinking this because they have not released the name of the ship/ schedule that would be replacing Miracle when she leaves in 2018. All/ most of the cruises and ships' schedules have been posted through August 2018......... Inspiration and Imagination cruises and schedules are there through April 2018. Why not posting a schedule/ship for 7 day cruises after January 2018.. Miracle's last scheduled cruise as now out of Long Beach is December 30, 2017

The only cruises I see posted past April 2018 are for the Legend Alaska and Hawaii cruises.

  8. This program probably wouldn't work on Carnival because Carnival doesn't have the speciality restaurant variety like NCL has. Many Carnival ships don't have any specialty rest. and most only have 1. The only ships that have multiple specialty rest. are the Legend (Steakhouse, Bonsai), Magic (Steakhouse, Cucina), Breeze (Steakhouse, Cucina, Bonsai), and Sunshine (Steakhouse, Cucina, JiJi, and Bonsai).

  9. Actually I could have received the email and just deleted it without reading it because I've been getting blasted with the emails about the sales and never pay attention to them.. Does anyone know if they increase the rate for the extra day when they make changes like this other than the taxes maybe going up?

Your rate will stay the same even with the added day. So in other words, you are getting an extra day for free.

  10. I wouldn't be surprised if they retired the Pride of America and put a new ship based in Hawaii. It seems to me that POA is a bit long in the tooth and they could use a few more berths, assuming that one of the new ships will fit there.

The Pride of America just launched in 2005. She hasn't even been in service for 10 years yet, so she still has at least another 10 years left in service.
