Love the Pride and love sailing out of Baltimore, however would love an itinerary change. Grand Turk has been absent, and maybe they could add Key West or Cayman. Or maybe they could skip the Bahamas and do Dominican Republic and Jamaica
Grand Cayman, Dominican Republic, and Jamaica are too far to be reached on a 7 day cruise. They would have to do a longer cruise to reach those islands.

I'm surprised they are not adding an Alchemy Bar on the Paradise.
-
It's my understanding that who was there last week won't be there next week so it's difficult to say who will be onboard.
That’s correct. The comedians are different each cruise.

Carnival offers 7 day sailings from NYC to San Juan, Grand Turk with either St.Thomas or Amber Cove. I would love either of those itineraries from Baltimore.
Those cruises are offered as 8 day sailings out of NYC. Unfortunately since Baltimore is so far up north, the ports that can be reached in a 7 day sailing are somewhat limited.

The new terminal is open? Is the parking garage the same?
The new terminal is open and the parking garage is the same.

Yes. I saw a video of the cruise director showing the progress on the improvements they are making.

Also interested in a review. Sail in two weeks with a crew of 15. Been on Splendor before a few times, and this looks like it will be the last. She is headed to Australia for sure. Posted today:
Interesting! So she's gonna end up in Australia after all. I wonder what ship is going to replace her out of Long Beach?

The junior suite balcony dividers cannot be removed. If that is important to you, you may want to consider getting standard balcony rooms. The divider between those can be removed and the balconies are larger.

Cucina serves lunch for free. Its a pasta bar just like the one on the Dream. At night they have dinner for an additional fee. Comfort Kitchen is just comfort type food they have at lunch.

I just took a cruise out of Long Beach a week ago. I had a 12:30pm check in and showed up to the port at 11:30am and they let me right in. I was on the ship in under 5 minutes from walking in the door.

I see that many users and websites are listing The Triumph as going into dry dock from 03/02/19 to 05/01/19. But I see it on Carnival's goccl website on Triumph's fact sheet page as being 03/01/19-04/15/19. Anyone know for sure? I also see that there are cruises available after 04/15/19, so I tend to lean toward the dry dock date 03/01/19-04/15/19. thanks
The Triumph was originally supposed to be in dry dock until 5/1, but Carnival shortened the dry dock to end on 4/15.

What ship is this?
The Elation.

We are also waiting to hear about whether or not there are new boarding procedures in Long Beach since the remodeling of the dome (building where you check in) has been recently completed(or not completed).
The previous reviews won't have any info about that situation.
I just got off a cruise on the Imagination out of Long Beach. The boarding was the easiest I have ever had on a Carnival cruise. I was literally on the ship within 5 minutes of stepping into the terminal. I had a 12:30pm boarding time, but I arrived at the terminal at 11:30 and I was let right in. Once you enter the terminal they send you to a table where they scan your passport and check you in on a small handheld tablet. Then you go thru security. You then walk towards the back of the terminal where they take your boarding photo and then you walk up the ramp where they scan your boarding pass and then you're on the ship.
Most of the remodeling was complete. You enter on the opposite side of the dome where you used to. There is still some minor things to complete, but as a whole the terminal is 100% better than it used to be. It is a lot better now that they have a side for boarding and a side for disembarking.

Because it's extended dry dock, they might be doing to it what they did to the Elation and adding balconies and some new stateroom categories, along with some other routine maintenance and updates. I don't believe the Paradise has balconies, other than in the suites (if even that).
I think it's a safe bet that the Paradise is getting the same stuff as the Elation got.

Did the Elation get the
alchemy bar?
She did not.

I wonder which ship is moving to New Orleans?
The Glory and Valor are sailing out of New Orleans.

Mind you Bliss will be designed specifically for Alaska where as most aren't. Is Quantum Class built for cold weather? I'm assuming so. But more to the point Splendor will probably sail Alaska, even though she isn't designed for the cold, since she doesn't have a cover over one of her pools.
The Splendor does have a cover over one of her pools.

Isn't Splendor set to leave Carnival and transfer to P&O to go to China? Wasn't that part of the deal for Carnival getting Panorama?
Not anymore. P&O Australia is now getting the Golden Princess.

I still find it hard to believe that both the Imagination & Inspiration do well with their 3 & 4 days cruises there since it's the same itinerary for both. Would have thought one of them would have switched to a 4 & 5 day route.
I think the issue is they only have one berth in Long Beach. The 4/5 day ship would do Mon/Thu/Sat and the 3/4 day ship would have to do Sun/Thu or Mon/Fri. The 7 day ship they would want to have leave on a Sat/Sun. So they would need an extra berth to be able to do 4/5 day cruises.

According to this:
There is space for 1 wheelchair in the Thrill Theater and 4 wheelchairs in the IMAX Theater.

Are there cabins being installed aft on deck 9 (Promenade), in the Cole Porter Lounge? Getting this info from Housekeeping and other officers on Paradise and Glory. Like a big secret?! Even from Epherim, Miami, with a wink! Yes or No?
No cabins were added on deck 9.

My working theory is that the Magic will be replacing the Splendor. Based on crew deployment.
What do you mean by crew deployment?
-
Splendor is staying the fleet but still going to Australia year round. But it will be in service for Carnival.
It hasn't been confirmed which ship will be cruising Australia year round, according to this article. Unless there is a more recent one?
-
The Splendor is actually staying in the Carnival fleet and not going to Australia now.
Also it seems likely that they would add additional capacity to Galveston before adding to New Orleans. So I would assume Galveston would see a Dream class ship and a Vista class ship before New Orleans would.
No news yet on cruise director for breeze

It's still TBA according to the last update.
