  1. Are these 2 pictures both from Glory or just the first one? They look like the same room to me just the bottom one looks more finished to me. Look at the make shift pallet work bench in each. its the same. Windows just have different coverings on them which is easy with just some carpentry work

Yep. Both of those pictures are from the Glory. Comparing both of those pictures, it is definitely a crew area.

  2. According to John Heald, All Fantasy Class Ships will get Fun Ship 2.0 and the Alchemy Bar for Sure. This makes me assume based on the last four Carnival Fantasy Class Ships, it will get:

    Guy's Burger Joint

    Blue Iguana Cantina

    Blue Iguana Tequila Bar

    Red Frog Rum Bar

    Alchemy Bar

    Cherry On Top

    Carnival Waterworks

    Full Stateroom Renovations

    Stateroom Hallway Renovations

Spa Transformation to Cloud 9 Spa

    Lido Deck Restaurant Remodel.

All of these things have happened to the Fantasy Class Ships in that time period based on its previous dry docks. I'm most certainly not guaranteeing this though

I do not believe for a moment that they will make that rear lounge staterooms. It doesn't make any since as there are no staterooms near that location! Not that I'm right I just don't think it will happen.

I wouldn't put it past Carnival making the aft lounge cabins. They did that on the Sunshine.

  3. Carnival will refund all of your money minus what you paid for the deposit. That has always been my experience. Sorry to hear about your grandmother. :(

Don't wait until the day of the cruise. The only refund you'll get that day is the port fees.

Unfortunately not since the OPs cruise is less than 14 days away. At most they will get their taxes and fees back.

  4. I was on the Vista over Christmas and during the Plat/Diamond party the cruise director mentioned a ship from the P&O fleet would be transferring over to Carnival (I realize they are under the same parent company). I don't know if will be for the Australian market or ????

Yes. The new Vista class ship originally for P&O Australia will be coming to Carnival and the Carnival Splendor will be transferred to P&O Australia.

  5. I did catch that, but I think they consider Port Canaveral her home port even though she does move around in the Summer and early Fall.

But it says year round homeport. If she is moving in Summer and Fall, they couldn't consider Port Canaveral her year round homeport.

  6. That's what we're waiting on also. Sunshine and Ecstasy are the only ships with no dates beyond April 2018. And NY and Charleston have no dates beyond April 2018 either. I guess the Sunshine is coming back to NY again...maybe.

now i wish carnival releases 2018 new york sailing. since it is taking them so longer, i guess they are more dancing of the ships coming

Did anyone else catch that it says that Port Canaveral is a year round homeport for the Carnival Sunshine? Maybe she isn't going back to NY again?

  7.

My next cruise won't be until Spring Break for Sakari next April. It's going to be a LONG 4 months. :p I'm trying to decide, but I'm thinking of booking the Conquest out of FLL to: Aruba, Curacao, Grand Turk, and La Romana. That will be 4 port days and 3 new ports for us!

I've been looking at that itinerary for a while as well. I really want to visit Curacao. It seems like an awesome set of ports for an 8 day cruise.

  8. No, they made a lot of changes, I assume because the Epic was originally so controversial. The Captain and Chief Engineer were talking about the Divina during their technical talk onboard. That's really all they said, the hull was sold and redesigned as the Divina. It was cool to see them docked side by side in Nassau.

The second Epic class cruise ship was cancelled well before they started building it. They cancelled it in 2008 when it was still in the prep stages.

The planned second vessel, currently only in the preparatory stages, will not be built. Further terms of the agreement were not disclosed. "With this agreement, we can all focus on completing the new vessel successfully," said Kevin Sheehan, NCL's president and CEO. "We are looking forward to the arrival of our much-anticipated F3 ship as it represents a major step forward for NCL in terms of ship size, design and innovation."
  9. I would not expect many changes before 2020 aside from the ongoing Liberty/Valor swap, which could be reversed if Liberty is repaired, and then the Splendor/Miracle swap in 2018.

If Horizon goes to Galveston, I could see a ship move from Galveston to Fort Lauderdale. Given that Florida's east coast is the industry's center stage, I would still expect Horizon to head to Fort Lauderdale.

In 2020, I would expect the new LNG ship to head to Miami. Vista gets moved to Port Canaveral and joins Magic in sailing year-round from there. Liberty takes the New York/Norfolk/Charleston routes from Sunshine, which are expanded to cover the entire year. Sunshine goes year-round in Baltimore, and then Pride moves its summer service to Boston while continuing to winter in Tampa.

In 2022, the second LNG ship gets home ported in Miami. Victory moves to Mobile, and then Fantasy moves to Galveston.

The spirit class ships are the largest ships which can sail from Baltimore. So you won't see the Sunshine sailing from Baltimore.

  10. The Ecstasy is going in for dry dock from 1/10/17 - 1/24/17. Details are unknown yet, but she already has RedFrog Rum Bar and the Blue Iguana Tequila Bar. I would assume she would be getting Guys & Blue Iguana Cantina was well as Alchemy Bar and Cherry on Top since the last 2 Fantasy class ships to go into dry dock got all of these enhancements.

  11. Here's from goccl.

    Carnival Imagination Dry Dock: 9/04/16 - 9/22/16

In addition to routine hotel maintenance and cosmetic enhancements in lounges and public areas such as new carpeting, wall coverings, tile work and lighting, the following will take place:

Guy’s Burger Joint (replace food service: Off the Grill and Rotisierre)

BlueIguana Cantina (replace food service: Mongolian Wok)

RedFrog Rum Bar (replace pool bar)

BlueIguana Tequila Bar (replace pool bar)

    Alchemy Bar (replace Pinnacle Bar)

Cherry On Top (replace Special Occasion)

    Crew area renovations

According to that site, the Mongolian Wok is going to be eliminated.

  12. Just add EarlyBird check-in to your returning Southwest flight. Guarantees you an "A15-60" boarding pass without doing anything else.

I always do this on return flights when cruising.

Southwest doesn't limit the amount of Early Bird passes they sell. So depending on how many people purchase them, you could end up getting a "B" boarding pass.

  13. I was thinking it would be gone also and I was bummed because I love the Wok, which is why I asked John the question. I'm still thinking it will be gone, I don't think there is enough space to keep it, but I'll report for sure when we get home next Sunday after sailing on her

Okay great! Looking forward to finding out.

Honestly there probably is enough room to keep it in between Guys and Blue Iguana. All they have right now in between is a large desert bar.

The only problem I would foresee if they had Guys, Mongolian Wok, and Blue Iguana outside would be congestion around all the food bars.
