Because I made my bids prior to Feb 24, they had to notify me that my bid was accepted, tell me which bid was accepted ( I bid for premium suite, mid aft suite and aft suite ) and which suite they were assigning to me. I had to accept the offer and give payment within 24 hours. LOL I gave payment in 3 minutes!!! If you bid now and your bid is accepted you are immediately charged and your cabin in changed to the new cabin, so now you really need to be OK with receiving your bid

My bid for a mid aft suite was accepted and that is the area that I chose. I bid for all three categories of suites but placed a higher bid on those is the mid aft category since that's what we wanted for this trip. So, depending on the circumstances you may be able to choose your area. I could have only bid on the mid aft but I did bid for all categories

So how do you use the thermal spa..do you need a reservation to use it or just show up?

Definitely!! And it sounds like it will be the polar opposite of MDR breakfast

Our first suite booking is next week. We did have a minisuite but I bid on a suite and got it! After studying suite locations on Royal P I bid for one of the suites in the concierge lounge area as that appealed to me. I need my coffee in the morning and the idea of just grabbing a couple of cups from the lounge sounds good. The Sabaitini's breakfast sounds good. I can not sit still long enough in the MDR for breakfast........it's just tooooo sloooowww for me. Getting my jelly 20 minutes after I got my toast is not the way I can start the day....it is good....just too dragged out. After 2 weeks on the Royal I will have a better idea of which perks are the best for us

OK...why would you want to use the medallion app on your smartphone while cruising: to order food or drinks to contact your fellow cruisers to arrange dining to view activities to link to your kid to look at your bill Am I missing anything??

Oh, OK...so I could use my phone with the internet that I have purchased whiel on the ship

OK...I need help. I generally shut my phone off and lock it in the safe for the entire cruise. But, I have a couple of question. I can leave my phone in airplane mode and take pix on the ship with out issues (fees) right? When we are at sea, if I had an emergency I would have to purchase another device hook up ( I purchased one for my laptop) to make a phone call in case of an emergency at home. When we are in port (Hawaii) I can take my phone ashore and use it like normal since it's USA?? Right? Want to use it for uber in Hawaii ports .....and will have to trun airplane mode off Thanks for your help!! I don't have a 12 year old at home to teach me!!

Well, I'm glad this was posted cause we didn't know about this perk. Can I use the Medallion app on my phone while it's in airplane mode?? I am medallion challenged!

What is this area like...I have seen images of people waiting in a long line outside? Is there an inside building/facility and , more importantly, does it have rest rooms? We have a bit of a drive into San Fran so I am worried about where the "facilities" are, LOL Thanks in advance

Departing out of SF on March 27 cruise to Hawaii. What can we generally expect fo weather temperatures ? Is it still pretty cold until you get close to the islands?

Does anyone know if they do all of the upgrade bids for a specific cruise on the same day? We put in a bid for a suite and haven't heard anything but some folks got upgraded this week that has bid on mini suites............shall I give up the hope??? Our cruise is on March 27

Just keep in mind that unless you have status with your airline, the next available flight for you may not be that day or the next day since many cruises arrive on Saturday and Sunday. If you are OK with that then go for it

Congrats on the nice upgrade. We are on that cruse as well and hoping to get one of those emails since we bid on an upgrade several weeks ago. Did they give you a location of your new mini suite?
