RCI did the same thing. We stopped for a few hours on Serenade. We spent the day in St. Thomas then booked it over to St. Croix for a few hours. We were able to get off the ship and spend some time in town.
I love playing and singing for people. I was part of a contemporary Christian music group in church for years. I do a lot of Cat Stevens, Simon and Garfunkel, Neil Diamond, Elton John type music.
I agree but, apparently, the porter fabricated some story when asked about the ribbon. I think that gives him some culpability. He could have simply said are you sure this is your bag?
You seem pretty open to changes that might bar you from the DL. As I remember it you were not very happy when the old CL became a SL and you lost access.
It varies by ship. For example, on Odyssey the machine was always available. On Allure it was roped off until 7AM. Even though it was set up they would not let you near it until 7.
