  1. You may think correctly but what really matters is what RCI thinks. And BTW, I'm all for the flag. It flies in front of my house every day unless the weather is bad.
  2. I have only had it happen once. It was on Allure. They were the most rubbery and tasteless tails that I ever had.
  3. That is interesting. I've never seen lobster tails packaged that way.... anywhere.
  4. Is your concern that it is an American flag and the ship is full of Americans? What is the reason that people decorated their cabin doors with all kinds of things that mean nothing to me? I don't care because it isn't my door.
  5. Wind has the potential to do a lot of destruction. You think a piece of cloth and some zip ties are stronger?
  6. I find that quite patronizing. Yeah, you can have an extra bottom dwelling scavenger only because someone else passed on it. Real classy. RCI needs to rethink this issue that they have created. I find it all very off putting. Just another reason to avoid the MDR. It is interesting that in RCI's television commercials they don't really talk about the luxury cruise experience like they used to. Now it is all about the fun and games. At least it is honest advertising.
  7. About 10-15 minute walk from Grand Central to Time Square. You can also catch the "S" subway that runs back and forth between GCT and Time Square.
  8. More like one of your parents have to go to Guest Services to get the extra key to give to you.
  9. I no longer eat in the MDR either. Back in the day they seemed to be concerned with how you dressed. Now they seem to be more concerned with how you eat.
  10. There is a Metro North line that runs along the Hudson from upstate NY. However, the line I take runs from New Haven along the coast and into Manhattan on the east side at Harlem and then into Grand Central.
  11. It was fun but by the end of the day I was ready to come home. I can only deal with all the people for just so long.
  12. I've been on Adventure several times out of both San Juan and Ft. Lauderdale. Had a great time on every one of them. Stop analyzing how you thing you will be feeling. Just go with the flow and take it as it comes. You have friends aboard when you want them and the ability to retreat when, and if, you feel like it. These days, for various reasons, I mostly cruise solo now and I love it. You might just find that you feel the same. And if for some reason you don't like it, eight days will go by plenty fast enough and then at least you will know if cruising us still right for you. Just enjoy the anticipation.....
  13. How much waste can there be in a couple of bites?
  14. My level of politeness would depend on how politely he told me that I couldn't do it.
  15. I prefer to serve myself, thank you very much.
  16. Your waiter wasn't happy with you? I would have let him know how unhappy I was with him.
