Thanks for the info. I am hoping that it is Taino Bay as it is more conveniently located. I checked a couple of cruise schedule sites but they didn't seem to break out the two different terminals.
Thank you. I'm a bit concerned that RCI seems happy to take the less convenient docks just as they do in St. Thomas and Cozumel. If I book this it will be my first time at a new, for me, port in a while. I'm not used, any longer, to being clueless about a port of call!
Maybe someone can help me....
Can anyone tell me how far apart Amber Cove and Taino Bay are in the Domenican Republic and which is the better place to dock? I've not been to the DR before and feel clueless right now.
I don't get why people spend money to be on a billion dollar cruise ship and then want to go sit on a sandy beach. However, I think I like the idea of setting up beach clubs over private destinations. This way people who want the beach can have it and those, like me, that prefer to do other things can do so. Something for everyone.
I like the Solarium Bistro on Q and O class ships. It is a nice alternative to the WJ for breakfast and lunch. It is especially convenient since I tend to hang out in the solarium. I miss it on the V/F class ships.
SW doesn't always open with their best fares. Depending on how the flight is selling you may find better pricing later. I have often found better pricing under 60 days prior to the flight date. The big problem with SW is there are no seating charts so you can't track demand for the flight.
