I am sitting under a Palapa right now at Nachi drinking a Bloody Mary. No sea grass today. Costa Maya was bad yesterday however. It’s beautiful.
Glad you are enjoying Nachi! Where did you go in Costa Maya?

Upon arrival, Maya Chan paid for the taxi. The have a fixed rate they worked out with the taxis, but they don't tip the drivers, so we tipped him ourselves.
I dont remember tipping the taxi driver last time.. or other guests tipping him either. Dont know why I assume Maya Chan included a tip when they pay him.
What do other folks do about tipping the taxi drivers?
Thanks!

Is it free food continuously available instead of needing to wait for the free lunch (often lines)?
Also, does anyone know what snacks they are offering at the Snack Shack?

I think they need to do laser tag on ice skates!
(Would this require a second waiver?)

I’m going to be on that cruise. We’re doing the 11th and 18th sailings. So excited!
We are doing that same B2B. See you onboard!

Oh no we're on the April 27th sailing
Ah Ok. I thought you were on our cruise. So you are in St Kitts on April 30th.

We are going in May. Oh really?
By the way, are you on the May 18th sailing? We are on that sailing and I see 8-5 not 9-6 listed on the itinerary.

I am sure someone will be around to correct me if I am wrong, but my understanding is St. Kiits is Atlantic Standard Time but does not have Daylight Savings Time.
So Atlantic Standard Time is one hour ahead of Eastern Standard Time, but is the same as Eastern Daylight Time, if that makes sense.

When are you going? If it is during DST, then I believe St. Kitts and Miami are the same time.

Thanks all!
Magen's sounds wonderful for us.

Thank you all! A lot to think about!
As Bee Guy said, the prices on board do seem to be good prices. The only place to consistently beat the ship seems to be Amazon. I will definitely do my home work and know how much the watch I want is at my local stores AND on Amazon before my cruise. I am a huge fan of Amazon, but not sure if I like the idea of purchasing a watch from them, with having to have it sized and all. (Plus, I will have extra OBC that I need a plan to spend!)
Thanks!

I have my eye on a Citizen. They have several other brands but I never paid any attention.
Any idea what % off MSRP they usually give off Citizen?
Thanks!

Hi,
Considering buying myself a nicer watch on my upcoming Symphony cruise but want to do research beforehand to know what kind of deal I would be getting.
Does anyone recall what brands the shops carry? Citizen? Seiko?
Thanks!

Hi,
I think I decided on Megan's Bay for our visit to St. Thomas in May. However, I notice very few recommendations on these boards.
We like the idea of full amenities and calm water.
It seems funny that it is not recommended because it is crowded, but then who is still going there? *LOL*
Any downsides besides the crowds? There will be 3 ships in port, but at least 2 of them are very large ships.
Thanks!

I was not notified.I never get anything from RCCL despite trying in my settings. I just saw it on my planner and when I thought about, remembered it as being CoCo Cay. I had booked it forever ago and never pay attention to cruises until they get closer. I asked in the sailing group and it was confirmed that I remembered correctly. It seems some of them had received letters.
Very interesting. Thanks for the info! We are on the Symphony scheduled for Coco Cay and have not heard anything either, although my planner still says Coco Cay..
Which sailing are you on?
Thanks!

We are on Harmony in May and it was originally scheduled there and then switched to Nassau. I was thinking they wanted their soft opening to be with smaller ships. But of course you're right, they do not want to tender Harmony.
What Harmony sailing are you on? the RCCL website shows all May Harmony sailings going to Coco Cay. You were notified that you are now going to Nassau instead? How were you notified?
Thanks!

Take care of your waiter.
Since every place is different, is it best a Nachi to tip each time the bring you a drink or once at the end of the day?
Thanks!

If you're wanting main dining room and Windjammer experiences, well you are in luck we'll be providing you with some of those experiences as this trip we've opted out of the Ultimate dining package. We do have BoGo (Chops & Hooked) for the first two nights then the remainder of the trip will be dining room, unless we decide to add on another specialty restaurant night mid cruise. Wings at Playmakers one night is looking to be a reality.
I hope you have a great trip! As you will be spending some time in the MDR, would love as many menus as you are able to post!
Thanks!

Thank you very much! You don't happen to have MDR menus by any chance?
Thanks,

Hi All,
Since the Symphony has made it to Miami I have not seen a full set of MDR menus. From the Royal App, it looks like the menus differ slightly than other ships -- at least in which items are combined on which nights. But, I don't trust the App to be accurate so I would really appreciate it if anyone has a set of menus for the Symphony they can post.
Thanks!

Looking forward to your review! Did you happen to see, by any chance, the price of the soda package on board?
Thanks!

Thanks.. I appreciate it!
I can see the menus on the app already -- but I don't trust them to be correct, with Royal's IT department's track record! 😀
Thanks again!

Looking forward to virtually joining you on this voyage! We are on a similar itinerary in May.
I know you are not planning on the MDR for dinner, but if you could find a way to post MDR menus, that would be awesome!
Thanks!

COCO CAY - still a work in progress
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
Is the beach to the "left" of the future Coco Beach Club and to the right of the Wacky Seagull bar an extension of what Royal is calling Chill Island? (There does not appear to be a name for this beach on the map above,)
Last time (a few years ago) this is where we headed to get away from the crowds. I believe there was some natural shade so we didn't need to rent an umbrella. Has anyone been recently? Is there shade?
Thanks!
