  1. I do understand that they might have to catch you up to the ship. The problems shared here indicate they are not even providing basic assistance. Not even close to the promise made. It is good to hear there are others who experienced a good response. I am not comfortable I could count on it. I wish it were otherwise. Either way I think they should simply be more clear about what will really happen in case of an EZAir snafu. I do suspect that reality is spelled out in fine print somewhere.
  2. I thought the old cruise card could still be requested. If so, then you do not have to have a medallion to travel on Princess. You can elect not to be tracked by fellow passengers but I do not think you have the option to not be tracked by Princess. Maybe I'm misunderstanding or maybe not so simple.
  3. This thread should probably be re-titled "Meds to Take" (and not just for COVID).
  4. Good suggestion. Atmosphere aside, IMO, a 4 day is just too short. It would seem like time to repack just after you get there. It might be OK if someone lived near the port and wanted a quick get-away or combined the cruise with a land vacation.
  5. The problem is Princess EZair says specifically: "Rest easy that you'll make your cruise if flights are delayed or cancelled on the day of travel." What has been shared indicates Princess is providing little or no assistance in making other arrangements. They are making a blatantly false promise.
  6. Our utility company does allow averaging out payments with a true up at year end. We have a friend nearby that does this. So far we continue with the actual monthly based on the various meter readings. No real rational reason other than it is what we are used to.
  7. I've seen these pretty bold statements on the Princess site too. I wonder where the fine print is that lets them off the hook.
  8. I know this is a touchy subject. If it means the cruise line will do things to enhance my preferences, then I'm OK with it.
  9. For utilities, ours are based on usage so vary monthly. We still have auto-pay set up. With all of our auto-pays, we always see the amount so are able to react should there be an error. Had that happen last year with an HOA payment. The management company double billed by mistake.
  10. We book the hotel far out because we know we can cancel or change it if needed. We book airfare when we are sure the trip is going to happen. That might happen pretty far out, exception being perhaps regional flights.
  11. I saw that. I can't remember from the deck plan if they even have a central Piazza area.
  12. I'm supposing that they have the Diamond Lounge in addition to the Concierge Lounge. Is the Diamond lounge not sufficient? If you truly feel you are being reduced to a peon, then I think you are making a good choice.
  13. OK, this is very unique and something I've never seen personally. What kinds of things would passersby share?
  14. During our Nov Oasis cruise, one guy says get towels on CoCoCay. Next guy, near the exitway, says best check out towels here before exiting. We did that. Our fridge kept soft drinks pretty cold. Sounds like this varies by cabin. We reserved shows once on board without any issues. I think your 12 & 14 year olds will have a blast on Oasis.
  15. We do almost exactly the same. It is easy to monitor. Even the PG&E provides a notice on the amount to be taken out of the checking acct.
  16. I suspect they just have not got around to naming the decks.
  17. My first thought was I hope they are not going to that central boulevard style ship. I'm glad that isn't happening. The Deck 9 area seems to have a lot of outside seating area around the perimeter. It does seem odd there is no grill or other food on the pool deck. One of the things I really like about Princess ships is that there are a lot of seating places have outside windows. I'm happy to see they have retained that feature.
  18. I'm still waiting for someone to explain why I should be concerned about being tracked on board. Unless I plan on being a cat burglar or something, I just don't get the issue.
  19. Jeans are perfectly OK in the Celebrity MDR. Shorts are allowed during the day but are not allowed in the evening. I've seen this enforced with adults. I don't know if they would cut some slack for a teen. For you question, I think it is easier to look at what is prohibited. In the case of Celebrity, it is the following: "T-shirts, swimsuits, robes, bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps and pool wear are not allowed in the main restaurant or specialty restaurant at any time. Shorts and flip-flops are not allowed in the evening hours." BTW, the way I read this, hats or caps other than baseball caps apparently would be OK. That means my Dad hats would be allowed! 😄
  20. In general I am not liking like any price increase. This one will amount to about $2.50/day additional for us. We will still go for it.
  21. Dunno. Never counted them. Just going by the OP's comment. It is actually more discussion than I ever thought would have about those particular things. 😄
  22. We have shared with our kids in insides and outsides. Both worked fine for us. I would choose #1 for the reasons you give. Plus, the kiddos will enjoy RCI more too I think.
  23. I think what they are saying is they are using a lot for the trash separating and had to ask for more than the "normal" supply might be.
  24. Is that 1 am ship's time or port time?
