  1. Basically they're the only shop around; they're the same company as Neal Watson, not sure if they merged or one bought the other out but they're the same. I'm booked with them.
  2. At least one person posts the answers every quiz; most who post the answers have a different mindset, they don't see themselves as a cheat, they see themselves as being helpful.
  3. We know the worst case scenario (this) and the best case scenario (nothing happens), the question is, how often will someone need medical attention after ingestion? I posted an article that states if someone ingests brace metal wire (which is typically far more rigid than a brush bristle), which is capable of tissue puncture, 80-90% of incidents won't need medical attention.
  4. Seems like those who in that discussion were confused...Except for the al la carte (disclaimer, I have no idea about Le Voyage) restaurants: 1) Extra apps are fine at any restaurant 2) Extra entrees are allowed at any restaurant but in specialties you're supposed to be charged $20; like corkage charges, they don't always charge you like they're supposed to
  5. I'll bite...Typical WebMD click bait article which is intentionally vague for the views, even what you quoted, the words "IF" and "CAN" appear without mentioning how often "if" and can" happen. This pointless worse-case scenario article doesn't give any numbers to how often they "CAN tear up" a persons insides, unlike my article which listed the numbers. By no means am I saying it's impossible to get injured, simply saying odds are low that bad things will happen if one does.
  6. -"Cooked" fish on the buffet that's still frozen in the middle, that is bad. - Purchasing food from ports other than the embarkation port isn't something big cruise lines like to do unless it's an one off special that's incredibly rare. They have existing contracts with the suppliers at the embarkation port to bring on frozen food on pallets. - With the metal wire, the human body is pretty resilient and odds are no medical attention would be required; its not very dangerous and if it was, there's medical on board and like you eluded to, you could always sue.
  7. Should also be noted that X recently changed the carryon rules, You’re now allowed to carry on 2 bottles of wine/bubbly a person
  8. That is misinformation, I have repeatedly bought or upgraded the internet mid cruise
  9. I have been on six X sailings since the restart, never saw any of the crew encourage or enforce social distancing. Elevators being a major culprit. You'll need to increase your sailing budget to find a boutique luxury cruise line who buys fresh fish. The standard process is all food comes aboard frozen on pallets at the embarkment port; I sailed Crystal in 2017 and they stated all their food has to be frozen prior to coming on board for safety reason. I do understand the disappointment of finding a foreign item in ones food and being told issues will be elevated but they aren't. They did offer free(?) medical support and two comped meals. I believe the bigger issue is swallowing a metal wire as far less dangerous that most realize. Furthermore, like anything, if one is injured from a sailing as pointed out, one would sue anyways, not sure why that's even worth mentioning to the officer who attempting to make the passengers happy.
  10. It's a good starting point but there can be significant savings if one buys things mid-cruise. Some might be able to hold off on buying the internet and/or drink package until day 3 or day 4, same with internet and drink package upgrades, can add them mid-sailing and only pay the prorated amount.
  11. They felt "safe" before? I couldn't possibly see X make an exception due to that reason. I have never felt "safe" from Covid on cruise ship, quite the opposite as there are minimal protocols which are only loosely enforced. I cruise as a calculated risk.
  12. Some questions... 1) Has anyone successfully "waived off" the canapes? The Canapes delivery person I saw a few times wasn't my cabin steward, when they knocked on my door I said I didn't want them and he told me to take it anyway and if I didn't want it to put it outside my door. 2) Has anyone in a non-suite been able to "convert" the canapes to a cheese plate? If yes, who do you ask? I understand you can call room service daily but would be great to "convert" the canapes to a cheese plate and have them deliver it regularly vs calling daily
  13. Seems like they're yesterdays buffet leftovers. Random things I remember: - Breadsticks, which are oddly chewy, with a piece of pepperoni/salami wrapped around - Slice of prosciutto folded - Cubed pieces of chocolate cake
  14. The pre-cruise sailing price won't include your CC discount if you have one therefore one would need to call to receive the CC discount. It's the same price on board, CC is honored; it may vary by ship but you can usually upgrade in the app once on board. You also pay the prorated per night rate on board, so if you're okay with waiting until after the first night, you can save a little bit. If you're on a seven night sailing on the infinity (for example), day/night 1 you're departing FL so will probably have a signal late until the night then day/night 2 is key west so again you'll have cell phone reception, then you can wait to buy the upgrade on the morning of day/night 3 which is a 29% savings over purchasing it for the full seven days.
  15. Thanks...It's a bit ambiguous and I'd bet they'll eventually update the copy. I believe they'll shoehorn in "(Elite and above") because this will greatly reduce revenue from folks not buying drink packages or drinks a la carte.
  16. Unless you're seeing something I'm not, looks like it's still Elite and above
  17. They're generally changed twice on a 7 nighter, not sure if one COULD request them changed more. There were a few long GoGreen threads breaking down specifics.
  18. Thanks! Agree with everyone on moveup as it states "So, you get more value than what you bid". Like the example above, you bid $1000 but bid amount will be $1050 if you're zenith. Nice little perk and will most likely reduce the number of ties especially with the minimum bid
  19. https://www.yahoo.com/news/u-approves-spacexs-starlink-internet-231514675.html You may not care about the on board internet speed, having on board internet at all or Elon Musk, yet this is really good news for not only passengers but also for the crew. Most likely all the big lines will get Starlink since there seems to be no other options; maybe the Ascent or their 5th E-Class ship will deploy with it?
  20. They still come twice, X doesn't describe the specifics, the only service reduction is during the turn down service, they don't wipe the surfaces down. They still straighten up, replace towels, take out the trash, etc. I've had Go Green four times since the restart, I don't notice any difference in service.
  21. There was a thread a few months where many speculated X quietly ended it as the old URL didn't work, said "page not found". Now the old URL auto-redirects to the OP's URL. Old URL is https://pages.email.celebritycruises.com/GoGreen
  22. Thanks OP. It appeared X quietly ended the program as the original gogreen page went down. Not sure if this is a backdoor URL and if it is it could be shut down, best to add all your sailings now as it's currently active.
  23. 8 Decks Pre-pandemic it was $25/min Post-pandemic it was $100/min; I believe this was open by request $100/min means it'll keep a lot of people away
  24. Considering X offers Prime Rib on the first night and lobster and beef wellington on elegant night, if those entrees interest you can save a little bit by only buying a 5 night dinner package
