  1. Put two in your checked/porter luggage and two in your carryon, maybe you'll get them all
  2. There's really no easy/affordable way to fix it...RCI's new class of ships and X's chief competitor, Princess, are fueled by LNG (no ash), therefore it's fairly good odds X will go LNG after the E-Class
  3. Exactly...To oversimplify it, she genuinely enjoys going out of her way to interact with passengers
  4. The other consideration credit card wise is spend. One sailing can usually satisfy any intro bonus spend requirement. Some cards including many airline cards give you something for spending enough. In the case of airline cards, they reduce the requirements for maintaining airline status. Delta waives the MDQ spend requirement if you spend at least $25000/year
  5. I generally do 2 or 3 days as once you start pulling that much X expects you to gamble a large amount or they’ll block you from further room charges until you increase your bets You can switch credit cards by going to guest services if you wish You will need to carry cash off, there are plenty of banks/atm machines that accept cash deposits in most of X’s ports so you can factor in extra time when booking flights home the same day you’re off the ship I’ve done this a dozen times since 2017, no problem with the bank. You’re supposed to declare with customs if you’re moving more than $10k/person so if you’re a couple you can each carry off $9999. That’s about 4 days of room charges, if you go over $20k you could turn in the overage amount to guests services so you each have no more than $9999. If you go through facial recognition there’s no place to declare anything anyways…If you elect to declare you’ll need to request a customs agent but with X’s room charge requirements, you’d need to be a serious gambler
  6. The best course of action is to politely request another mentioning what you want so in this case cheese and more onions. If it comes out wrong again take a pic if possible and complain to the M’D Beyond the waiter potentially getting dinged on the survey for bad service, they’re too busy to care
  7. I’ve smelled more stinky crew members, for what ever reason often the photographers…Unfortunately it’s often a cultural thing
  8. All my sailings have been out of the US, however have done nearly the entire Caribbean, Alaska, full transit Panama Canal and the Mexican Rivera (have done Europe and Asia on other lines). I believe what helps is to only have one violation, if you want to wear shorts, wear a collared shirt, if you want to wear a collarless shirt then wear pants. I have seen folks in both shorts and tshirts yet it wasn’t chic night. 75% of the time I eaten in Blu, 20% time in the MDR and 5% in specialty. The only consistent enforcement I’ve seen is men removing their hats, yet some put them back on after they sit down
  9. Typical expectation vs reality…I’ll repeat, I see dress code “violations” at dinner nearly every night. I’ve been on nearly a dozen X sailings since the restart
  10. She does do the jewelry appearance, she’s probably draws a larger crowd at the store than most. To expand on her being friendly and approachable, she’s engaging and playful, mean if you bump into her and say good morning, rather than just saying good morning back she’ll probably crack a joke and ask you where your from
  11. Valid, yet Chris has long breaks between contracts, Tony did quit his reg full time job, don does have the same job as Tony’s wife. You also have jay from the ship life and Emma cruises who claimed to both quit their jobs to do YouTube full time
  12. Upon meeting your attendant request one, luck of the draw if you’ll be able to get one. Have received them twice yet both times the ship wasn’t full
  13. It’s really the opposite, you have a full time job, get a channel, it blows up and you’re too busy for your regular job
  14. CaB coffees are the biggest perk IMO although laundry is particularly helpful on 9 or more night sailings
  15. AI was originally offered on all fares then they allowed the sail only rate on all cabins. Coincidentally, a thread started here where someone complained they couldn’t get a “free” drink in the retreat, that thread got hot and magically the sail only was removed. Many reached out to the exec team and to request the sail only come back and it was reinstated but excluded AQ and up. Probably a combination of factors that led to the addition/removal of sail only
  16. you need to have more fun with it, bring a microphone, post up in a crowded place, when someone walks by, stick the mic in their face and ask “do you find influencers onboard annoying?”
  17. If you can’t beat “em, join ‘em, “Zitsky’s random travels”
  18. Very true; if one repeatedly clicks on a “clickbait” type video, high odds YouTube will start recommending them
  19. To piggyback, for many, this is primary source of income, they do not have a typical full time job
  20. For many content creators/influencers, this is their job, to put up videos. You as a viewer has the choice to click on them or not...There's nearly a billion YT videos out there, 99.999999999999999% of them I'm personally not interested in
  21. If you've never been on the celebrity edge and want to see a ship tour you simply enter that into the search box...Odds are you'll get exactly what you want without nonsense...If one watches daily "cruise news" videos, often than yes, they CAN be very clickbait-ish nonsense
  22. Influencers are going to influence even if they're intrusive; while some thing you can't avoid such as showing the buffet at meal time, I would like to see show crowded venues get FYI: Most cruise-related videos are "Content Creators" "Influencers" generally get paid to promote a product or service
  23. Valid, yet this is their livelihood as many quit their regular jobs a long time ago; the more clicks the more money you make...Some like Tony and Chris Wong even posts videos of how much money they make
  24. During embarkation, the TERMINAL xrays your belongings and tends to be stricter During port visits, the ship xrays your belongings and tend to be less strict; all about what kind of day the crew is having. Just be polite and the worst thing you can do is bring extra attention to it by asking them "is it okay to bring this on?" Also some ports like Puerto Vallera do have a terminal xray in addition to the ships xray, yet the terminal xrays are looking for weapons and wouldn't confiscate drinks/food
