  1. X is slang for Celebrity and you can check their flights but remember that airlines generally only schedule their flights a year out...I've only searched the flights by celebrity (FBC) since the restart, I haven't found much of a fare difference and they will still charge a change fee if you change after final payment. Also, I believe the airline "Norse" has the cheapest flights right now just know they're a low cost carrier 1) Find your sailing, select View Itinerary 2) Flights
  2. X does have 3:2 but like most casinos that offer 3:2, they also have several 6:5 tables at a much lower minimum. I've never seen 3:2 less than $25 and have occasionally seen $50...Usually the 6:5 is $5 or $10. With slots, aren't they the "tightest" on cruise ships since they're not really regulated? I recently had $200 slot credit on Carnival, couldn't convert it to the tables, played the $200 at the max $4/spin, after I blew through the $200 I walked away with $37 in winnings...Dollar for dollar, slots do accumulate tier points faster than tables but I don't understand the attraction to them
  3. Don't mind if I do...Most of these are pre-covid: Higher food quality, specifically cuts of meat Elite happy hour on embarkation day Zeniths/high casino status can use the Retreat Get rid of the room service fee if CC or above Wish list, I've been booking more Carnival lately; most of these things are from CCL/RCI/NCL -The Mast Grill is awful, do better than Carnival, give us better burgers and dogs -The baked desserts are sugar bombs without much flavor, for example, if chocolate, make it taste like chocolate...Again, do better, Carnivals chocolate melting cake blows away any of X's baked desserts -Switch the MDR/Blu lobster from spiny to Maine lobster like Carnival and RCI did -Ability to PURCHASE a premium steak and/or lobster and/or a sushi boat any night in MDR/Blu; once on board specialty dining reservations before 9pm are rare even the ship is half full -Add a sing along piano bar -Have a comedian perform a show every night in the sky lounge or The Club, other lines have 3_ shows per day/night
  4. Best odds would be to report this thread...I do believe there's good info here yet wish the mods would change the title to make them accurate, they only seem to move or lock/delete things...lol
  5. Always felt the same but some seem to love to arrive to the port as early as possible and enjoy the MDR lunch. While I somewhat understand the mindset that your cruise fare pays for your embarkation lunch (whether MDR, buffet, etc), would much rather eat on land preferably near the ship overlooking the water
  6. I had heard they only did this on TAs, was this sailing a TA? I like the concept but instead of physical cards loading them onto your sign and sail account would be the way to go
  7. It would be a possibility if there was only post #2 who stated they "heard" but post #3 and #7 are senior CCers who both claimed to have personally picked some up, #7 states they're on a ship now. It would be a safer assumption to believe they are telling the truth Thanks for pointing out the e-muster manning details. With the one time I did the traditional muster with X in 2019, it was cluster like it always had been with other cruise lines. The safety video started 45mins after the scheduled time so the crew was there for at least an hour and 15mins on that sailing
  8. They did change from the CC-only private event to most bars from 5-7pm BEFORE Covid, not exactly sure when but it would appear to be early 2019 based on @chamima...It's also possible some ships made the change later than others
  9. Yes, you have the pool deck and the deck above which have loungers Spa Cafe is open to everyone
  10. Totally agree, am just pointing out all signs point to cost cutting
  11. If you served like before, as soon as you board, 100% of passengers of age will be offered a flute which requires additional dedicated crew to pour and serve. How many seasoned cruisers didn’t even know CaB offered it? How many know about it but decide to do the muster or go their cabin first? I’d guess they’d use 75% champagne and use the existing CaB waitstaff to pour so also less staffing
  12. Generally speaking, folks aren’t continuously recording, often they’ll do an entire ship tours and bits and pieces here and there. More often than not, they are recording with their smartphones and not a camera rig With the jobs, while lots of manual labor are becoming automated but even more are done overseas. The bigger immediate job threat are to writers and coder. Many are already using AI to write copy and code for them. There will still be plenty of jobs out there maintaining the automation equipment
  13. If this lounge existed, if we googled it should show a pic of the lounge on the first page, correct? To piggyback off what has already been said, previously they would turn a public lounge into a nightly (minus day 1) CC private event for two hours. Shortly before the shutdown, presumably to reduce staffing costs, X eliminated the nightly event and allowed Elite and higher to get unlimited drinks from most bars. So that changed even before the Beyond even sailed. The fleet still usually has one similar event per sailing, a meet the senior officers with free drinks usually on a sea day, mid day. Most like the flexibly of going to most bars and maybe have been lobbying to follow RCI to allow 4 drink vouchers per day allowed to be used at any time
  14. If you go to youtube, enter "celebrity cruises" then sort by most viewed, you see many of the influencer videos...The term "influencer" has largely been replaced by "content creator", you have all different types of them, some may focus on overall travel, some are exclusive to cruising and some might be exclusive to one cruise line Was on the 5th Edge sailing after the restart, it just so happened that LLP and the Cruising influencers Don and Tony were on. Jim Zim, who I believe has the subscribers was recently on Celebrity and complained about the burgers...lol The youngin's who are probably on X with their parents nowadays are on tiktok, far less about them showcasing the cruise and more about them doing a little dance routine or something Fun fact, globally, when you ask kids what they want to be when they grow up the majority want to be influencers/content creators
  15. Why settle for a tiny little flute when each person can carry on two bottles?
  16. Haven't experienced a incorrect password issue yet did have some issues where you click login, it appears you're logged in but you really aren't. Clearing cookies solved the problem, google how to clear them with the name of the browser you're using to see how
  17. You should probably re-read what you saw as there isn't one in the way RCI has a Diamond lounge On the Beyond there's a dedicated CC desk but no one would consider it a lounge
  18. Key West and Nassau when getting back onto the ship. Never been to a port where you had to show your ID while going ashore. If you don't mind waiting for 5mins, it really isn't a huge deal if you don't bring it as the terminal folks will call/radio the ship who will send an escort and check to see if your face matches their "mugshot" Almost always X will announce to take a picture ID with you ashore
  19. Usually the very first stage of designing a cruise ship is conceptual development. This is when major features like IVs, Eden and Magic Carpet would be greenlighted, but by who? Someone overseeing construction wouldn't necessarily mean they had a part in greenlighting major features
  20. Main show is generally 7pm and repeated at 9pm, there is a passenger participation game that starts at 8pm
  21. Sometimes the full schedule isn't posted until a day or two before and even then they can be tweaked
  22. Stayed in 7199 on the Millie twice, I've never been in an X suite but have toured/room-crawled several, these corner rooms is better than most suites
  23. PlusGrade handles the bidding software, my WAG (Wild A$$ Guess) is X employees log into their licensed PlusGrade account and populates the min and max pricing
