  1. I know this is a older post, but wanted to ask what your experince were on your Mardi Gras cruise and spcifically relating to your experince with Loft 19 and suite experince. Anything you can share would be greatly appriciated. Thank you
  2. Weigh in this morning, down 2.6 putting me officially able to ride Bolt (one year from today will be the end of that cruise). Still lots to go - 58.8 lbs to go for horseback riding weight, but with 51 weeks to focus, I feel confident. Have a great week ahead everyone.
  3. Way to go. Awesome week! Keep pushing yourself and you will do it!
  4. I wanted to log in today and wish everyone well on their health journeys. Keep at it! My (and DWs) weigh in days are Fridays so I’ll pop over later, but wanted to see how everyone’s week went
  5. This is how we did it on our last cruise. We met (actually only platinum guest getting off at that time) by guest services and they took us down.
  6. The single time we did YTD we did not prepay gratuities.
  7. Wishing you both the very best! You can do it
  8. Slide/insert Not my YouTube video... but shows the insert right after their introduction.
  9. On our Panorama cruise, our party had 3 rooms - 2 balconies and a family harbor inside cabin and we were all sat together. In the past we have gone to MDR on embarkation day and talked with staff and had our table switched to sit with friends. A) I am not sure B) In our experince we have been able to arrange to be sat at a different table with others who we were not booked with. I would suggest on embarkation day going to the MDR and making the request. Another way that would/should work is if you choose your time dining. I hope this helps and I hope you and your cruise party have a great time!
  10. YES! Long Beach has a higher than average express self disembarkation. It cannot be stated enough that if you are counting on being out quick it may not happen. We have cruised from Long Beach a dozen times and have been out as early as 8:00 and as late as 10:40 (with another ~400 pax to go). One very nice feature that the terminal has in place is the face idendentifaction. On our last three times in LB we have been able to hold our passport while they scan your face at debarkation significating shortening the time it takes to clear customs. With that said, riffatsea is 100% spot on. You could be planned to be in at 7:00 and not get in until 9:00, there could be fog, there could be some other complication with customs. Long Beach terminal makes tons of efforts to help make it smooth, just be flexible enough if you can't get out until a little later. Happy sailing everyone.
  11. Following for our cruise in April. We have done short 3/4/5 day cruises which have stopped in Ensenada before and have visited the Blow Hole twice, local shopping and the last time a wine tour, but the other half of the times we have stayed onboard and enjoyed the ship. Since this will be a 3 day and not longer cruise we would like to get off the ship. Would love to do something family friendly (kids are 10, 8 and 8). Right now visiting the blow hole is at the top of list, but have also seen ATV, horseback riding and years ago I thought I had seen "movie set" excursion advertised, but did not take the leap. Would love to hear/see other ideas people have or have done themselves. Thank you for all your help.
  12. Lots of good answers. I wanted to also post I had seen when getting ready for our Radiance cruise last July. The YouTuber takes you through the parking experince and talks about some of his FAQs (he has cruised from Long Beach a lot) including price, UPS drop box, oversized parking and some other tips and tricks. Thought it was worth sharing.
  13. Greetings, In one year from yesterday (Jan 20, 2024) we will be sailing the Carnival Jubilee (booked back in February). At the start of August my wife and I started focusing on eating better and weight loss. I set a personal goal to ride that "Bolt" rollercoastster (knowing I had a long way to go). Through Halloween, Thanksgiving and the holiday season I had some struggle but am getting back focused. This week I dropped .8 pounds and now sit 1.4 pounds away from the weight limit. Hooray, almost there. Since I have so much time and could use the motivation I am setting another goal to be able to do horseback riding in one of the ports with my youngest kiddo who loves, loves, loves animals. So another 60 pounds in 363 days. Starting weight 387.8 , current weght 301.4 goal (horseback riding weight) 240 Oooh, have a great cruise! Dec/Jan is hard time of year for me too. Just keep focused on the things you can control. ... and self care is important. You got this, keep focused and the small struggles won't get in your way. (Ice cream is one of my overindulgent things I have to avoid) I would do excatly what you wrote too.
