  1. I also received, and completed the this survey. Wish I could remember more of the names of the comedians we have seen. Definitely one of DW and I’s favorite activities on our cruises.
  2. I have not been to Cabo on an 8 day, however I have been to Cabo on the Panorama twice so I apologize if my answer is off. With a 7:00pm departure I’d count on a 6:00pm last tender. If you are working with an independent excursion company I’d suggest having it end and back by 5:30pm. in November 2021 we were in Cabo on the Miracle on the same day as Panorama and the line for tendering was a solid hour. We had asked someone who was on the Panorama when their “last tender” was and they said “in five minutes.” Unless we are on a Carnival excursion, when we tender we shoot to be getting on the tender back at least 2 hours ahead of their posted time. (which is what makes Cabo so tricky since they give so little time there)
  3. Hooray for you Rollin Tide. Hope these next 100 come off quickly. Happy sailing
  4. In our couple experiences since restart, they have an open house/onboard registration when boarding and then open at 7:00. Our kiddos were not taken for meals (lunch or dinner). However, yes they will have night time activities the first night and our kiddos make a point to go that night to meet their cruise friends. The sessions are 4 hour blocks like 8-12, 1:30-530 and 7-10 or something like that. Night Owls is still a thing. Our kiddos had a blast. Closer to the restart you had to make a reservation and could only do the morning or afternoon session. They have stopped this requirement.
  5. Our Panorama cruise last month had time slots starting at 11:00 going in half hour increments. However, we received an email the day before and they pushed everyone’s time back by an hour (12:00). They did not open the terminal until just after noon and boarding for our group start at about 1:10. My CC signature has a link to our embarkation Vlog in which we talked about our experiences on that day. Happy sailing!
  6. Stayed at The Queen Mary last night and wanted to share our room tour. The Queen Mary Hotel Room A205 Look 👀
  7. They have “show time” ( as they call it) each night. Most of the time it involves dancing, but sometimes they have a guest singer. Our kiddos would get up and dance each night while we were on the Miracle last year. Happy sailing
  8. We went in May 2022 and formal nights were night 2 and night 8. I have a Vlog series linked with the all of the days of the cruise in my signature line. There was not a third formal night however maybe they have added one to other itineraries? I hope this helps and happy sailing. It was a great itinerary!
  9. Souns fun. If you end up doing this excursion, please come back and share your expereince. TIA Happy Sailing!
  10. Yes this! You will get some great sights. Lots of YouTube videos about golf cart driving if you are interssted just search golf carts in Catalina and we have done this 3 different times while there. The botanical garden in Catalina was really a cool place to visit as well. My kiddos love to walk the downtown area a get ice cream. If you have never been to the Casino (no longer in operation, but everyone calls it that), they have tours and talk about the history of the island. Worth a try and it is within 15-20 minutes of the tender by foot. Cabo San Lucas is an easy enough place to tender in and explore on foot. Lands End is always a great touristy thing. I personally feel overwealmed by the amount of boats and people trying to see it, but if you have never been it is the iconic location and should be something you try if you have done so before. Last time we went we tendered and did some light shopping and got a few drinks. I have seen lots of people suggest Medano Beach area via water taxi. Whatever you choose I hope you have a great time in both ports.
  11. When is your sailing? Can you come back and report what you experienced. Thank you
  12. This what I found too, if there are only 4 in the cabin it should be a moot point because the deck plans say there is a sofa and they would make up the one upper and the sofa. OP if you sail this cabin and it has two uppers please post pictures/video of the set up. It is hard in general to find any cabin set up for 5. I have a room tour with two uppers in the CC signature but not on the Mardi Gras and not a balcony. I would assume that if the room does have two uppers the second would be over the king bed because of the static parts of the room and the balcony door.
  13. Your PVP should be able to help you book at the higher rate and connect the reservations without canceling those who have already booked. I wouldn’t do anything until I called and had someone look at it. Even without doing it before your cruise, the statehouse should still be able to help you at the statehouse, just make sure the reservation date and time are the same. Since you are already working with a PVP and it sounds like you are ok prepaying then definitely call ahead of time.
  14. The check in time is EST (midnight 16/14 days before the cruise). The arrival appointment which is what will be on your completed boarding pass will be in the time zone in which the cruise departs. For instance, this week I logged in at 9:00pm Arizona time (midnight EST) and established a 10:00-10:30am arrival appointment for Long Beach (the time printed is ship time)
  15. Thank you for posting this link. I had no idea they did so many “holiday specific “ celebrations. My kiddos will be super excited for the Easter fun!
  16. All three ships have a serenity deck that will have views of the ocean and will give you a chance to watch the ocean as you a read a book. However this is an adult only area and will only meet the needs of reading. Panorama will have the most variety of the 3 for your kiddos. In addition to the ropes course (which the Radiance has as well) it has a peddling sky course), The Miracle has a more petite offering with the sports park and mini golf (which is on the Panorama and Radiance as well) Camp Ocean was very large on the Panorama as was the Radiance (we loved the location on the Radiance which probably had a lot to do with our stateroom location), Miracle’s Camp Ocean (time stamp 1:09) is inconvenient to get to because you cannot access it without stairs or walking through a hall of staterooms) - it is not located within a more “public location. Radiances water park area was right in the middle of “the action”, very much integrated into the open air decks which made it easy for the whole family to enjoy. The Miracle has an indoor area far off the beaten path called “Gatsby’s Garden” (time stamp 2:01 for a time lapse walk through) that we never found on our five day cruise to Cabo, but when we went on our 10 day to Alaska we sought out. It was widely unused and has window views of the ocean, definitely a place you could spend some time reading a book in. Sorry it is not a straightforward answer. I am sure there are other “positives” and “negatives” and if I think of more I’ll come back and post. Hope whatever you choose, you have a great cruise.
  17. I’ve sailed all three. Size and age are the primary differences. The Panorama is the largest with most onboard offerings of “different things to do”. Radiance is the in between sized ship and from DW’s opinion the best “design wise.” Miracle is the smallest and most ornate. I loved all three ships and our next two cruises are booked aboard the Radiance and Panorama. IMO, you can’t go wrong with any of the three. What types of things are you looking for in your cruise ship? While all three sail from Long Beach, all three have a variety ports and length. That detail is what I would consider. If you are interested in the three ships I have vlogs/family videos linked in my signature about all three ships. What ever decision you make, I hope you have a great cruise(s)
  18. You can only use the VIFP number of the people in the cabin, sorry. we regularly book 2 cabins and I’ll test out who has the best deals under their VIFP number. Play with who is the lead and also look at cabin configuration. On our last time on the Panorama we ended up booking 3 rooms with 2 people per cabin rather than 2 rooms with 3 people in those rooms. Saved us a sizable amount (like 40% less) to have a third room. I tried the same approach for our Alaskan cruise and the opposite was true.
  19. They can be posted a little later, but they should be up soon. We have some excursions showing for our Jan 2024 and have since mid Oct. The only thing I could think is maybe try calling Carnival and see if there is some other explanation of why it wouldn’t be showing up yet. I hope you get it resolved.
  20. My go to: Miami Vice and DW’s Blue Margarita
  21. This week DW was out of town for 3 days adding extra level of stress to keep up with kiddos schedules. We managed and everyone made it to the other side. I weighed in this week and am 4.2 down. I think a bit of it was water retention. DW says I lose it quick, but I also pack it on quick. Here is to another healthier week ahead. Hooray on your cruise, happy sailing Sunday. Pet watching is tough especially when our trusted watchers leave/are unavailable. I hope you have some awesome road trips with your aging pup. Ooh goodness that is chilly… please stay warm. I am a stress eater too. I’ll over eat on something and then spend two days being mad at myself. Allow yourself grace and remember today is a new day. You can do it; back to your goals- let’s get it!
  22. DW loves curbside pickup. Try it out. I still have to go in and see the food before I buy. Sometimes produce seems to be on the less desired side, but the time savings and avoidance of unplanned or cheats foods are both positives. sorry you are feeling blue, I hope that goes away. Keep your head up and remember each day is a new one.
  23. Thank you for posting this link. Found an answer to my specific question. Hope you cruise was awesome!
