I guess one positive aspect of the reported toilet problems on Mariner is...no one is griping about brown, rusty water on Navigator any more. 😄

I wish I could, but unfortunately I'm just a typical Regent customer who consolidates passenger inputs into these spreadsheets. I don't have any insider information nor do I have any experience sailing in the accessible suites, sorry. Have you tried looking on YouTube or googling that particular suite (or similar suites on Mariner?) Good luck...

I just tried to process my evisa last night - that site is a complete hobby-shop nightmare. Poorly laid out, slow, no help text...horrible. I tried to upload a scan of my passport, in a 768KB jpeg file, and it errored out saying I needed to upload a jpeg file under 1MB. Which mine was. Same for the recent photo. Error. I refreshed the page and it logged me out. And of course it takes a minimum of 10 minutes for them to generate a new OTP. And what's even worse? This is for one overnight in Iquazu Falls on the Brazilian side. I'm tempted to call Regent and see if they can just put us up on the Argentinian side for that night. <sigh>

Amen. I used to be a regular Scotch drinker before we moved to Kentucky many years ago. The Scotch prices shot through the roof (still up there as far as I know) and being in Kentucky I was 'converted' to a bourbon drinker. Although bourbon has gone up it's still a bargain compared to Scotch. Of course, iced tea is less expensive than either of those... 😄

We had a cruise planned to Turkey several years ago and it was pretty drastically rerouted due to unrest in Istanbul. Ended up going to Malta and Israel - we *almost* cancelled it due to the extensive changes but decided to go anyhow - and it ended up being one of our more memorable cruises. Which is why we wanted to take this cruise and hit Israel again - but I don't see that happening for quite a while. We just transferred this cruise to another one sailing in February - I'm not too keen on the idea of making final payment and having things completely moved around and then having nothing else available that will match our timeframe and bucket list...

Jan, it's my pleasure. I know I use similar resources on other sites, my wife says I over-analyze things. She may be right - I'll put together a spreadsheet and see if that's true... 🙂 We haven't been able to cruise as much as we'd like lately - between work and family functions we've blown the vacation budget until our next cruise in April - Abu Dhabi to Athens. We had several others planned post-Covid but had to shuffle things around to squeeze in a trip to Guam to visit our Navy nurse daughter. Managed to hit Hawaii for a week on the way back so that wasn't too bad...but still not a Regent cruise. So really, really looking forward to being back on board next spring...

@GeorgiaPeach51 I've been away from the boards for a little bit so I had to read through this entire thread and as usual, it did not disappoint. Our next cruise isn't until April of next year, unfortunately, but it will be our longest to date (19 nights plus a few days pre-cruise) which is forever for those of us still saddled with those pesky job things - and an eternity for my faithful, furry, four-legged friend Argo who has a fit when I go out to get the mail. But I just wanted to thank you for your posts, your positive attitude (which we try to share as well), and your humor. Oh, and the pics...I've tried making cronuts at home and although they're good, they're not Regent good! Thank your husband for his service for me (also retired USAF here) and I hope that our paths cross on a future sailing. But if not, keep posting and taking me along vicariously on your travels...I'm way overdue for a cruise, and even more overdue to travel on our old friend Navigator. C'mon, April...c'mon...

Yeah, there have been numerous discussions about tipping at the spa - apparently some of the spa employees used to press for a tip and/or 'forget to mention' the included gratuity and a lot of people felt ripped off - especially at the prices they charge for services. 🙂 I believe it was worse under Canyon Ranch than it is under Serene but I don't know as I don't do spa stuff on board.

Ditto - we've sailed over 100 nights with Regent since 2009 and we, too have had excursions get cancelled, ports get cancelled, and hell, even entire cruises rerouted. It's been our experience that Regent will do whatever they can (within reason) to accommodate everyone. I remember one trip when a grown-ass man was reduced to tears because we missed a port due to weather - he was planning on seeing some long-lost relatives in that port and it was 99.9% of the reason he booked that cruise. Although I felt sorry for him, it drove the point home that the moving parts don't always come together and you need to have a certain amount of flexibility built into your expectations. On the rare occasions when our favorite excursions didn't go for whatever reason, we almost always found an alternative that was nice. Maybe not as nice (or maybe better, who knows?) but we always try to look at the positives. We have a cruise coming up next spring going to the Middle East, with a stop in Egypt. We signed up for the overland tour going to the pyramids and Cairo. Would we be cheesed if it cancelled for some reason? Hell yeah. Would we let it ruin the other three weeks of our cruise? Hell no. Every time I get on board, I stop and thank my lucky stars that I'm able to travel at this level and be pampered for a few weeks. Since I don't have "f@$# you" money and can't afford my own yacht, this is the next best option...so if I miss a port or a tour, so be it. But enough pontificating - I hope they find something suitable for you and that you have a fantastic trip and enjoy your time on board. 😄

True enough. The older I get, though, the more I think of waking up on the green side of the grass the more I consider that being 'over land'...either way, it's a win. 👍

Wanna add to the fun? Be a II or a III...I've seen dozens of variations of "Parrishii", "Parrish Ii", just plain "Ii", you name it.
