  1. I have sailed solo a few times.

    - I brought my book/Kindle to read while waiting in the theater or dining room/buffet.

    - In the buffet, leave something on the chair or table if you get up for more food, otherwise they think you have left and will clear the table.  

    - In the theater, I would ask the person next to me, “where are you from” sometimes that would continue on to a conversation.

    - I took Princess excursions, I would tell the person beside me, “make sure they don’t leave without me”.

    On the Island in November, I had a refundable $ on my cabin account from a cancelled excursion.  I asked 3x at Guest Services with 3 different people, being Canadian I didn’t want an US cheque. I was told by all 3 people it will be on your credit card.    My cabin mate received her US cheque 2 weeks later after leaving the ship.  I did not receive my cheque at the same time.  I had to call Princess - 1x) told to call Princess Vacation Protection company,  2x) told it was mailed out,  3x) found out Princess did not put my unit # in the address on the cheque.  My profile shows my unit # in my address.  I finally received my US cheque 2 months after leaving the ship.

    I had PR711 on the Island.  It was a quiet area. A normal balcony cabin size inside.  This balcony cabin was suppose to be little bit bigger (247 sq ft) from the deck plan.  For another BE on a different deck  is 234 sq ft. The inside is the same as all the other balcony cabins, the balcony is a little bit bigger. There are only 3 plug outlets by the desk.  No pictures.

     

    There was not a lot of foot traffic in the area. When you exit into the main hallway, turn left there are the back elevators.  We found not many people used them so were fast.  If you walk straight, you pass Bayou Cafe & Steakhouse a paid restaurant. This restaurant was used 2 times for the casual dining on sea days ( watch for times on evening Event Planning paper).  There is a bar there, it is only open when restaurant is open. In front of restaurant, there are round table and chairs. Further along there are small sofas.

     

    If the crew asked for cabin number, remember to say PR711 as P is Plaza.  They would say like 711 the store.

     

    I would choose this cabin again.

  4. In November, on Air Canada - FCO (Rome) to Toronto, Canada (YYZ), we could only check in and check in our luggage 3 hours before our flight.

     

    Your cruise line may offer a post cruise excursion, this way you do not sit around the airport too long. A post cruise excursion, transfer from ship with sightseeing then dropped off at the airport, A transfer is direct from ship to airport.
     

     I have taken Princess post excursion from ship, see Rome sights (some we got off the bus, some were only drive by) and dropped off at Rome airport FCO.

    I have tried to change.  I have picked up my medallion at the port for the passed 5 cruises, it is not a big deal to pick up at the dock.

    I ordered them on the old MedallionClass app and can’t change the delivery, no problem picking them up at the dock.  Don’t know how long delivery would be, might not be home as we fly early to the port.  Bank took 21 days to send new credit card by Canada Post within the same city.

You can get extra On-Board Credit (OBC) by owning at least 100 shares of Princess stock. For your 10-day cruise they will give you $100 to spend while on the ship. They suggest you do it at least three weeks before your sailing, so if you are going to do it, I would do it soon.

  8.  I have been in an inside cabin.  Every time, you enter your cabin,  you have to turn on the light.  If you have any problems sleeping, great cabin as it is dark.  Inside cabin is great if going solo.  If an inside cabin is what you can afford.

     

    Think about an ocean view cabin that way you would have light and a view  from the window.

     

    I like a balcony, if I find it is too noisy around pool, I go back to my balcony to have peace and quiet.

    Today, after 11 days I had called Ocean Ready about the 3rd person missing from my booking after I had added the new Princess app also missing on the MedallionClass app. I was able to add her information to the app.

    I assume your cruise personalizer, just looking at your bookings shows all 3 of you?  Did you book the reservation as 3 in the beginning? 


    Forget about the website version of the App, as we know that is wrong.

     

    I would also send a message to the IT department and ask them to fix your booking, as you’d like to work on it, in the App.

    I booked through an agent for 3.  I have agent’s invoice and Princess booking confirmation that show 3 persons.

    Today, I have uninstalled both old and new apps and reinstalled both by Apple Store.

    After reinstalling, opened new app with booking number - only shows 2 persons.

    After reinstalling, opened new app through old app - only shows 2 persons.

    After reinstalling, opened old app with Log In - only shows 2 persons.

    On my Personalizer - under Try Our Website Version- it shows 2 persons plus Order Medallions and dining reservations are for one of my other of my cruises.

     

    When I called Medallion, they could see my March 2025 booking was for 3 persons.  I asked if there were going to be any updates for the new app soon, “ not right now”.
