No longer called “Formal Night” now Dress to Impress night.
 

 People wear what is comfortable for them,

- woman - dress, pants with fancy tops, long dress, pant suit, skirt 

- men - dress slack, with or without jacket, button down shirt with or without tie, 3 button golf type of shirt with nice slacks,  tuxedo, suits

Some change after dining for shorts.

With most people flying and weight limits for luggage, more are watching what they bring.

While on the Island, it had Alfredo’s and Salt Dog Gastropub had one or the other on 2 different sea days in one of the 2 specialty dining rooms.

If going to Canada, down the app ArriveCAN, another fast pass entrance to Canada.

On my 2019 cruise, I tried to order a drink, my phone showed cabin location, I switched to my iPad and it showed at Princess Live location. I used my IPad at Princess Live.  I never received the drink after a 45 wait, my Ipad kept showing Being Prepared.  We left and my drink had been sitting at the bar the whole time.  I took a sip and handed it back as it was by that time had been water down with the melting ice and got a new drink.

I found this on Facebook.  Some ships might have the wrong dining rooms listed.

Usually if you book any Princess excursion, on the excursion voucher you get in your cabin, will tell you where to meet and time.

If the time/meeting place is not mentioned go to the Excursion desk on the ship.

Add her dietary needs on her app

It is easier if you take the same table/time in the same dining room each night.

 The head waiter, will come over to your table each night with the next night’s menu and ask her what she wants to eat.  Can also order a special meal for dining room on port days when one dining room will be open.

Try dining room for breakfast. 

Mention your mom’s dietary needs when you first sit down.

At the buffet, ask for the chef and he will help find the correct food.

It should read - Princess does not own the tour companies vehicles.

I now try to book balcony cabins near or across from the elevators.  On some ships (Sky/Enchanted) these balcony cabins across from the back elevator , the square feet of these balconies are a little bigger than others.

Was the notification that the Premier Inn West Quay’s restaurant was closed during your visit, how were you were notified by their website or they send you an email?

Going on a Panama Canal roundtrip out of Ft Lauderdale.  Princess crew member looking after the outside lines, announced only passports were accepted for this cruise.

Best to check direct with Princess.

I met my AC pilot friend over the weekend.  He said AC had walked away from the table and there is a big difference of what both sides want. The cooling of point was mentioned as Sept 17, he said it should be Sept 18.  He believes there will be a 2 day strike on Sept 17/18 or 18/19 after that he doesn’t know that will happen.  I asked him to let me know as I fly Sept 25, he said “you will probably know from the news before him”.

Thanks for the information.  I use YYZ Express at Pearson, a breeze to go through.  I also use ArriveCAN, another breeze, most people don’t know that you can still use ArriveCAN.

I am on a 3 day cruise from Vancouver to San Francisco port then a return San Francisco cruise.

I wonder if I can use MPC at Vancouver cruise port since I will going to a US cruise port?

why/when would I want a “casino account”? 

If you play at the casino, it is a separate account just for the casino.  You need a casino account to get your money from the Cashier.

On the slot machines, a there a slot to insert $ bills.

If people transfer their OBC from their ship account to a casino account then cash out right away, Princess doesn’t want the casino to be treated as a cash ATM machine, alway play a little.

I have made a note of the numbers, I may need the EzAir emergency number encase Air Canada decides to go on strike around Sept 17 and fly out Sept 25.

If I remember - might have missed a part

- swipe your medallion at any slot machine

- put in your birthday - month and year

- put in a password 

- repeat your password 

- if you want to transfer from cabin account to casino account

- how much $ to transfer

- PLAY - they will lock you out if you don’t play

- when you are finished REMEMBER to cash out

- transfer $ to casino account

- cash out

- go to Cashier

- tell Cashier, you want to cash out

- swipe your medallion

- log in with password

- Cashier with ask if you want the whole amount

- Cashier will count out your money

- you sign a paper

- you received xx amount

Can also put cash into the slot machines.

If you have forgotten to cash out your casino account, they will send you a cheque.

Any refundable OBC under $25 leftover, you can get from Guest Services on last day.

I have AC from YYZ to YVR and my sister has AC from YUL to YVR on Sept 25 for a cruise on Sept 26.  I am not worried about our return from SFO it is not until Oct 16, I don’t think a strike would last that long.

I booked with EzAir.  They are suppose to get you to the port.  I noticed that EzAir is now offering WestJet for Sept 25 so hopefully if AC goes on strike, EzAir can put us on WestJet flight.
