I’m getting this message on 1/2/25 Bali to Singapore when I check prices.  It did show some categories sold out but others available.  Yet when trying to get a price and do a fake booking, it switches to sold out.

Is this another website glitch?  Or is it really sold out?

Seems fine to me. I was able to pick a sky suite and continue. The only thing that seemed strange to me is that select & continue only shows up when my mouse is rolled over the suite type. Maybe that is normal.

@bigbenboys.  Thank you for your response, I appreciate it.  Since your experience closely aligns with my 2025 experience, I would like to ask a couple of follow-up questions:  will you be arriving at Canada Place at 11:30 AM?  If you arrive sooner, what will happen?  Are times closely monitored by Celebrity (ex.  will you be asked to return at your assigned times?)  With Princess we no longer have monitored assigned check in times so that is why I am asking.

We have left from Vancouver a number of times. Check in seems to go smooth at Canada Place. You will have to exit Canada and go through US customs before check in. We normally show up at 11:30, but we are in suites. On the ship by 12 to have lunch. I dont know if Vancouver is checking assigned times. Does seem like most ports are not following assigned times. Others might help with that question.

I dont see a need to arrive before 11:30. Celebrity wants all guest leaving off by 9:30. That only gives the 2 hours before they start boarding.

  3. In the past on Millie in Asia we have disembarked from the Retreat Lounge through the door to the outside. It was set up for Suite guests.

Our last cruise on Apex. Out of our suite by 8am.. We were in the Retreat Lounge until 9am. Then one of the Retreat concierge walked us to the exit.

Celebrity normally want all guest off by 9:30am.

  4. WHAT IS MY DEPOSIT AMOUNT?

Effective June 1st, 2023, deposits for suites, The Retreat, bookings will be calculated as 10% of cruise fare of the stateroom. If the 10% value is less than the current standard deposit amount, the standard amount will be applied. All other deposits for Aqua Class, Concierge Class, Veranda, ocean view and inside staterooms are unchanged.

Yes, one needs food priorities on a cruise…

My biggest ‘dither’ on a cruise is deciding between dessert or cheese plate in Murano’s. I know I can’t do both but which to have?

My thought would be the Grand Marnier Souffle and have the cheese plate sent to the suite. My go to dessert is the creme brulee.😋

Smart choice because the lobster is honestly swimming/floating in mayo.  To me barely edible but I do live in lobster land and I know that I am biased.

As long as it's not Miracle Whip, I'm ok. I can dip my fries in the mayo.

But have you been to Glacier Bay? It's a Bay with lots of glaciers. Princess has a naturalist that spends all day out on deck with passengers with good binoculars that get passed around. Southbound Princess does both Hubbard and Glacier Bay. The whales, otters, seals, and eagles in Glacier Bay are not to be missed. The naturalist had it down to the minute practically when you entered various habitats. Glacier Bay has to be seen to be believed.

With over 7 Alaska cruises between Princess, Royal and Celebrity yes been to Hubbard, Glacier Bay, and Tracy arms Fjord. I like seeing the massive wall of ice and hearing the calving that interest me.

While the scenery is nice it is not that different than living in the Pacific Northwest. The other day we had a deer eating my flowers. Had a bear climb over our fence a few years ago. Abandoned Eagle's nest found with many cat collars. We have bobcats roaming in the neighborhood at night.

We are trying to decide between a Celebrity AK cruise from Seward or one from Seattle in June 2026. Were these wildlife excursions in Seward offered by Celebrity or via another provider/on own?  Thanks!

Our cruise started from Seward in June 2022. We flew into Anchorage and rented a car one way. I think it cost an extra $250 for one way rental. We stopped at Alyeska Resort Aerial Tramway to see some great views and snow. We used a local tour company in Seward to see the wildlife. Summit is a smaller ship and has been revolutionized and has a Sky Lounge to see forward views. Edge Class ships do not have forward looking lounge. I feel you get a better idea of Alaska by sailing in or out of Seward. Out of Seattle you dont get a true inside passage. Seattle sails on the outside of Vancouver Island. If you have the time in Vancouver to see Capilano Suspension Bridge Park or Granville Island Public Market. We have done at least 5 cruises to Alaska. We leave out of Vancouver BC for Alaska in 2 weeks.

We once did an Asian cruise on an Asian cruise line….You should have seen some of their buffet breakfast offerings. They did have a continental stand and an ‘English breakfast’ stand but there was everything from raw fish to noodles to chicken wings. Did we stick to the ‘English’ offerings? No, with a good deal of sign language we tried lots of things! Some we liked, some we didn’t but we certainly had variety in our breakfasts!

Yes, we have also had great breakfasts in Asian hotels. My go to breakfast is grilled salmon and rice.HK4.thumb.jpg.71641362030a164b6d2ae8d7be86950b.jpgHK2.thumb.jpg.ba8556d22d2ecf93c89b801718336030.jpgHK3.thumb.jpg.1e43db900e97756d15a2ac7ff65f46e2.jpg

We have been Elite for quite some time and finally tried the Elite breakfast on our last Apex cruise.  It was served with the limited menu posted on this thread and was certainly quieter than the buffet and less time consuming than the MDR.  That said it was more of a change of pace but not something we choose to do more than one day on a ten day cruise (plus I had “morning hair” as I was going to the gym after I digested breakfast so I wore a baseball cap 🧢 which I was asked to remove, which I did but was somewhat surprised since we have seen people in shorts and non-collared shirts at dinner in the MDR so a bit of selective enforcement of rules but no big deal).

On our last cruise at lunch time in Luminae DH was asked to take off his Polo style baseball hat. She said hats are fine, just not baseball style hats.

  11. I just dont see what people see in Glacier Bay over Hubbard Glacier. Photo of Hubbard. Also what is nice about Seward Alaska is spending a few days in Seward and doing some great excursions to see wildlife. We did this sailing on Millie a few years ago.

So Elite's get a lesser breakfast than if they ate in the MDR or if in Retreat?  Oh they also get a splash of booze in a breakfast drink?  I'm curious as to what makes it special?

Well this is what we do. 1st we have a small breakfast delivered by our butler at 7am. After that we go to Luminae to have a hot breakfast. Then go have a snack or drinks at the Elite breakfast before they close at 10am. We enjoy talking to the captain's club host especially Rose. But Rose has a new job with Celebrity. Also the view of the wake.

I have Elite Plus status & I have never heard of the Elite Breakfast.  What exactly is it?

It's basically a continental breakfast with a menu. You can also order coffee, latte, etc., Bloody Mary's, Bellini's, mimosa's or sparkling wine. On M and S class ships it is normally in Tuscan Grille. Not sure what time they open, but close at 10am.

We do a music charter every year on celebrity, on that sky suites can only get free drinks in retreat , since it’s a M class no bar in outdoor retreat . But Royal suites get the premium drink package included, plus normal royal suite perks.

We had lunch on Millie in the outdoor retreat area in Alaska. The staff got drinks for us from somewhere. I'm assuming they made the drinks 1 deck down in the Sky Lounge.

Someone told me above that all of the information regarding this was on the Seapass card - meaning it shows I am in the Concierge class maybe?

Concierge class Seapass card are gold in color. Standard cabin dark blue. AquaClass is light blue. Suites are silver. Zenith's did have black seapass card. I'm not sure if they still do.
