  1. I just booked two aisle seats for Jim and I when we fly to and from Arizona next week. Any time we fly (which isn't often) if we aren't on a plane with the two seats, we book the aisle, this way we can get up without bothering anyone. Jim sits on the left side of the aisle due to his right knee issues. Of course you got the flight attendant to smile. You are such a warm and cheerful person, you can even get a "grump" to smile! Enjoy your many cruises, Helen! "Hi" to Marty. Enjoy!!!🥰🚢
  2. @dani negreanuI am so glad to hear your DS2 and his family have found a rental so quickly! What a relief for them, and one more stressor out of the way for them, as well as for you. 😊 Have your grandsons started school yet? I'm happy that you will now be able to visit them soon!🥰
  3. Finally got caught up with everyone's "goings on"! First of all, I am in awe of the many Birthday wishes from you all. It is so appreciated, and I love you all! Thank you so much, @Ocean Boy, @BonTexasNYBonnie, @Sea DogGreg, @jagsfanMimi, @Arzeena, @Ozark_KidJohn, Happy 1st Birthday to beautiful baby Finnley, @Sunshine3601Debbie, @DaniDanielleMarietta, @lenquixote66Lenny, thank you for your beautiful words, @jmh2006Jennifer, and @ReneeFLLbeautiful pictures of Amsterdam; enjoy!
  4. Thank you so much, Deb! Great picture of your adorable grandsons. They are handsome dudes, indeed! Glad to hear everyone is having such a wonderful time on your cruise!!
  5. Thank you, Mark! My "big" Birthday is actually on Tuesday. It will be a year at the end of this month. Yes, it's been quite a year with it's ups and downs, but he's handling it really well right now! He starts his Freshman year at a STEM school next month..he's looking forward to going there. The school nurse and Principal were awesome at the school he just graduated from. Hopefully he will find it to be so at his new school.😊
  6. Oh, how I long to be there right now! My next cruise isn't until March for our Panama Cruise This is also the corridor I will be walking down on our Bella cruise! I'm glad you had a great time with your friends at your Reunion. We had a decent turnout for our 50th High School Reunion, although a few of the girls did have some health issues. Tonight is Jim's High School Reunion, which he just realized a few days ago...he paid for it a year ago. He won't be going after all, since our daughter will be arriving from Connecticut to help celebrate my Birthday this evening with our daughters and grandchildren.
  7. How obnoxious! You handled it well, OB! I think that is one phrase that can really make your blood boil. Don't tell me to relax!!!
  8. @brillohead Good morning Debbie! Thank you for explaining the growth and weight gains in babies and little children. I never knew that, nor had I ever thought about that! Our grandson William had many health issues as an infant, beginning at the age of 8 months. Poor little guy, they did an endoscopy and colonoscopy at CHOPS trying to find what was going on in his little body. This had all begun when food was first introduced. William had a feeding tube inserted, which he lived with until around the age of eight. I'm not going to go into all of his problems, since there were several. Due to the longevity of his tube, he has scar tissue, which is being addressed by his OT. His swim classes are also helping him with regard to this. Our 14 year old grandson was diagnosed with Type1 Diabetes last year, which was quite a shock to us all. When he was admitted to ICU, he only weighed around 80 pounds. This past year has been really tough on Ryan and his mom, but Ryan has been getting so much better at handling his situation psychologically..he's been in Marching Band since last year, he's joined a gym, and has just joined the High School wrestling team. He told me last night that he now weighs 120! He even mowed the backyard for the first time yesterday, since he now meets the weight requirements that you should be over 100 pounds to operate the ride-on mower. He did a great job, btw!😁
  9. I certainly agree about there being a better chance when there's a large group. I have to tell you though, we were all out of breath when we got on the plane. We haven't flown since 2016, and I'm not going to lie..I'm a little anxious with how so many flights get cancelled or delayed these days, hoping we don't have a cancellation or delay, and being on the airplane for our 5 hour trip to Arizona next month. At least it's a direct flight, so no running involved (unless there's a gate change!)
  10. Love the picture, Sue! How was your Reunion? Sounds like a fun day with the kids writing and acting for their movie yesterday. Bright and talented grandchildren, Mark! A bit stressed? I guess many of us have been in that situation. When we were flying home from Italy, there was a delay in our flight, then a last minute change in the gate. We just made our connection in Switzerland. I feel like almost the entire plane was full of those of us running to our Swiss Air flight. Literally, a large crowd of us all running to our plane.
  11. I see 3 happy faces!! Have a great time on your cruise, Debbie, Andy, Andrew and Will! I loved the Independence. Bon Voyage!!!!🚢
  12. Most of our neighbors have lawn service. I've taken pride in how our lawn looks with my mowing. My neighbor up the street from me, Nancy, has been doing her lawn on her ride-on mower since I've met her, six years ago that we've lived here. This is the first year that I've begun mowing with our ride-on. Last year, our neighbors across the street tragically lost their 21 year old daughter, and as I was trying to console him, he stood there in shock and began saying his lawn was a mess. After he went inside, I grabbed my walk-behind mower and began mowing his lawn. Jim began edging the lawn. My friend Nancy saw us and came down on her ride-on mower. After we were done, Nancy said she and I could start our own lawn service, called OLLS, short for Old Ladies Lawn Service. LOL! As I said before, I now mow most of our front, side and back lawn while riding on the mower. I'm actually getting braver with it, by upping the speed on it! 😉
  13. I love mowing the lawn also, Greg! This year I've begun using the ride-on mower, however. My legs can't use the pusher for as long as I used to any more. I'm glad to hear that Linda is doing well. I'm not glad to hear how much pain your knee is giving you. I hope Linda's brother will be okay so that both you and Linda will be cruising together in October. I know how much you are looking forward to cruising on Adventure and meeting up with some of the Bella gang. You are in my thoughts. Wishing you a successful journey. My cousin just had her first chemo today. Radiation to follow. Cancer sucks big time. You've got this!! Congratulations!!
