  1. @singinalotThank you for sharing your trip to St. Augustine with us, Crystal! I was there many, many years ago, when my daughter was living in Jacksonville. We only spent a day there, though. Great pictures!!!!!!
  2. I was thinking the same thing. We did a Ghost Tour at night in New Orleans😉 Thank you, Deb! It has been busy! Your weather today is like ours was yesterday. It's beautiful here today with just a chance of a spot shower. Hopefully not shower, though, since we'll be heading out to Ava's Graduation party. Enjoy your little ones! How close does your daughter live near you? Is she the one in Pa.?
  3. He was such a great kid. Thanks, Nancy Thank you, Marietta. I loved following Marik's adventures, both up and down, but it was sad and painful, especially at the end. His Mom talked about everything...😢 Thank you, Mimi. Marik was one courageous kid!
  4. Thank you, Marietta!🥰 Thank you, Bonnie!😍 Luckily, we just had quite the storm; lightening, loud thunder, and heavy downpours. It stopped in time for the High School Graduation being held outside, and although it looked like the skies could open again with rain, it stayed away for the remainder. I was happy for the graduates and their families. The high school is right behind our home and woods, so I went outside to listen to the Pomp and Circumstance. Ryan was playing his saxophone with the high school band for the graduation.😊 Thank you, Debbie🌹. Proud Nana, for sure😉 I followed Marik's Moms posts for several years. Marik was such a strong Warrior, with a sense of humor. His older sister married a few years since Marik's passing, and she gave birth to a healthy baby boy over a month ago, and named her son in honor of Marik...she just changed the spelling of her baby a little.
  5. Last night was the last of our four grandchildren's Graduations, and tomorrow will be the last of the parties. Ryan's 8th Grade Graduation was last night on the High School football field. Weather was perfect, Commencement went quickly. It really was a lovely evening. Today we had lightening, thunderstorms, and we were under Tornado watch. Tonight is the High School Senior Graduation, and I truly hope the students and families get through the entire Commencement without any more storms. It begins at 6:00 pm and it's damp and cloudy right now,
  6. Thank goodness all is well for you and Jack, Bonnie! We had Tornado watch earlier today with lightening and thunderstorms. Have the best time!!!!!!🥰
  7. Several years ago, while on FB, I became aware of a young boy named Marik who had gone through several bouts of Cancer. I followed his Mom's posts about all of Marik's ups and downs with this horrible disease, occasionally contributing to help this family fulfill Marik's Bucket List. One of his wishes was to meet Dwayne Johnson "The Rock" while visiting in California. Mr. Johnson went over and above with Marik and his family. I can't say enough good things about The Rock who was most generous with not only his time but also gave Marik some of the video games that was on his list, etc. Marik passed away just before his 16th Birthday. Today would have been Marik's 21st Birthday, which brings me to tell you about one of the items on his Bucket List. His Mom shared this morning that the one thing that Marik always wanted, but that his Mom was adamant about his not having, was an alcoholic drink. She worried about any bad reactions this would have on his medications. Well, one day, Marik had finally run his Mom down. He really wanted to try alcohol. She gave in, rumaged around the liquor in the cabinet, and brought out a bottle of Kraken. (and this is why I'm telling you about Marik. Marik and the Kraken!) His Mom poured a shot glass full of Kraken and handed it to Marik, expecting him to take a sip and spit it out and never ask again. She was wrong, however. He was standing in the kitchen on one leg (his other had been amputated years earlier). He picked up his shot, held it up, and downed it like a professional. He than slammed the shot glass down, screamed "LIKE A BOSS", and hobbled off to his room. He never did ask for another drink, and his Mom said she was glad she let him have that small experience so very long ago. So, here's to that brave young Warrior, Marik, on his 21st Birthday in Heaven. Slainte!
  8. @MJSailors Happy 40th Anniversary to you and your DH! Quite the story about your golf outing. No brakes, steep hill, injured hubby..sorry your day turned out the way it did. You did make lemonade, MJ; you always are so cheerful in all of your Posts. I hope you are feeling better as each day goes by, and glad that you only have a mild case of Covid. I also came home from our cruise in March with a mild case. Hopefully your DH isn't hurting too much since his fall.
  9. As chaotic as it will be this weekend, once everyone settles down and gets into (hopefully) a routine, cherish this unexpected time with your granddaughters. As you already know, grandchildren are the best!!🥰
  10. @Momof3gurlz When will your daughter and her family head to your home while their home gets their renovations done?
  11. @DaniDanielleYour granddaughter is so darned cute! I'm glad she enjoyed her very first Concert! @HBE4 I got to see the Lighthouse from the Tappan Zee this past Saturday night. I wasn't exactly sure where it was, on which side of the bridge, but didn't see it on our way to Ct. to our granddaughters graduation party. I did finally see it that night as we headed back to New Jersey.😉
  12. Good for you!! Where will you be going on this cruise? Love the pic, OB!!! Nice to see your feet once again!😁 Congratulations Eric on your Retirement! Welcome to the Club!!!!
  13. I sure hope the thunderstorms don't include the large hail, nor tornadoes, Bonnie! Stay safe! I'm glad your car didn't get any damage from your last storm.
  14. Welcome back to LBI, Debbie! We really enjoyed the play. The singing was really good..one of the young ladies hit notes like she could sing in an Opera. Cute little theater; our seats were Row B, Seats 1 and 2. I had gotten the tickets about a month before the show and had picked the end seats for Jim's leg. It still bothers him, so these seats were perfect. Afterwards, we went to the Chicken or the Egg. Great fried cod burrito..it was yummy!
