I've found October to be a great time weather-wise for a Mediterranean cruise. These cruises are port-intensive, but so worth it! I've done two 12-day, one that left from Barcelona, the second from Civitivecchia. Since it is so port intensive, we didn't bother with a Balcony..if you have excursions booked, you're out of the cabin and on your way, and come back in time for dinner. Have the best time, wherever and whenever you decide to go!!

Oh man. Your poor daughter. Jaw and ear pain is the worst! We had to cancel a transatlantic trip to Iceland from Southhampton a week before we were to fly to London due to intense ear and jaw pain. Thank goodness for Travel Insurance. I sure hope this gets resolved quickly. 🙏

Good afternoon, Graham. Weather here is not pretty. Temperature in mid 70's, cloudy and humid. Pauline and Sarah are in for a treat! Rod Stewart is such an energetic performer! I'm sorry to hear that your power is still out. No two ways about it, it's awful. Thank goodness for your generator! I sure hope your electric company can resolve this quickly. That's scary. Our oldest grandson was doing classes this Summer; a month in Rome, and a month in Paris. This is the month he is in Paris. Our daughter (his mom), SIL, and our 2 granddaughters are flying to Paris the first week of July to visit Chris.

Ah, to be young again! Your daughter (and son) are really enjoying their young adult years before settling down. Life is good!

Hopefully your power will be restored by 11:00, even better, if you get it back way before that time! We've been supposed to be getting storms for the past two days. Nothing. We did get about two minutes of rain around 1:00 this afternoon. Hmm...

Same here. My husband spent 2 days in Medical before being taken by ambulance to hospital for emergency surgery. Doctors, nurses, staff, very professional as well as genuinely concerned. We were billed on our account, with a copy of bill sent to our cabin prior to disembarking. Our trip insurance covered all of our expenses..ship medical, hospital, airfare home, etc.

My Mom was a volunteer at the Vatican Pavilion at the World's Fair, so I often went with her and I'd spend the day walking around and just enjoying the day while she volunteered. Seeing the Pieta was awesome. Mom passed away 13 years ago, but prior to her passing, I had found a statue of the Pieta while browsing in an antiques store in upstate NY, so I was happy to get it for her room in the Nursing Home. I sang in the Unisphere with my School Glee Club during my Senior Year. The Belgian Waffles were a big hit in my book!😉
