We bought a 100 shares 18 years ago at 40 per. Got probably $5000 worth of OBC since, worth over twice what we paid. Seems like a reasonable trade. Have about $1500 more in OBC coming for future cruises. If you cruise, RC having 100 shares is kind of a low cost no-brainer. If you are not sailing, maybe not the best stock to buy. At that point the value actually becomes part of the discussion. I, also, have Carnival stock, I just don’t prefer to sail with any of their lines… probably should sell, but not enough there to worry about. Who knows as I get older HAL may become more appealing!🤣 jc

About 25 years ago, I was playing golf at the club I belonged to at the time. The left side of the hole had a forest, and it was all out of bounds off the tee, the right side, had some small cedars, and a road, also, out of bounds. At that time my golf ball flight was a hook from right to left…. So, I always aimed at the cedars on the right, they were not tall, maybe 25 feet. So, I hit, it without any hook, and I was a bit on top of the ball, so it didn’t go high maybe 20 feet high. Right thru one of the cedars. Instantly a dozen juvenile turkeys came out of the tree.

I am currently in the sign up period, with impending retirement at the end of the month. I am reminded of the great RR words. There is nothing more terrifying than hearing … “ I am from the government and I am here to help you. What a clown show. It is clearly a system set up to make sure you know that no matter how successful you have been in life they are here to make sure you don’t think you are special. You are mine now! That is my feeling about the experience….

I have 33 nights coming up on the Voyager. I was amazed how quickly about a month ago, I filed online, and had the three OBCs within 3 days from filling. I think but don’t remember off the top of my head it was like$450 jc -
I am a cryer, aka a Romantic. I think the first thing I remember crying at was Old Yeller at the theatre. First time I remember crying at home on TV (world of 4 over the air channels) was when Captain Kirk got caught in the Tholian Web. I cry every single time at Mama Mia…. I wish I didn’t. Everytime, I start talking about the people who sacrificed for us to have what we have now… yep. So, you all may think of me as a hard case, and I am, but I am quite aware and appreciative, as well.

I don’t have you Tube TV, but internet is a separate transaction typically. I use DirectV Stream, but it is the same only more expensive and I can’t watch my local CBS affiliate because they are in a dispute. I only stream. At my house, we have a fiber option, that is 65 a month and can deliver between 300 and 1000 MPS. At our lake house we are now using T-mobile home internet (50 per month) which is a 5G cellular service that delivers between 100 and 200. It will be going with us in January, along with my wife’s AT&T cell phone and my Verizon cell phone where she pays $60 a month and I am paying 90. If when we are in the Airstream I get frustrated, I will buy Starlink for about 600 and another 150 a month (pausible) for the Airstream. The content is expensive but having the internet provider much more expensive. Especially if you are like us in the Airstream needing multiple because you want internet when you get to your campsite, and who knows what system works best there.

Fries, chips, are the best healthy version. It does really well making buffalo chicken wings, although my DW prefers Asian wings, so usually made with a sweet chili or teriyaki sauce. It is ok for coconut shrimp. Deep fryer wins but it is a healthier option. It is best to replicate frying without the large amount of oil. So, use it for things that are fried. Hence the name air fryer. It can do other things, but those are its sweet spot.

I am on the fence about decorating. I have a blow up army, that I don’t want to deal with this year, since we are leaving on the Airstream trip first week of January. That is my Christmas. We have no kids, my mother and father are long deceased, my brother and sister are deceased. My nephews have kids and no great need to be with us. I am definitely not putting up the 12 foot tree and all of the ornaments. If we do a tree it will be a small one. Blow ups…. Hmmm…. Such a pain to keep upright in the wind and snow and rain. Ah humbug. 🤣

I bought a frozen butterball today, smallest I could find, 14.05 # cost $13.08 plus tax. It is in the Yeti in the garage, hopefully thawing by Friday. DW’s 86 year old aunt is coming to town from New Orleans it has been several years since we have seen her, so, going to cousins house for two lunches on Thursday, then to the lake Thursday night. cooking turkey on Friday so I have leftovers to make our favorite turkey tetrazzini. Probably freeze half of it for more Turkey Tetrazzini at Christmas time. I have bought the fresh high dollar turkeys in the past, and I will say they are better, but only marginally. I liked looking at the date on the frozen bird, good until sometime in late 2025…. I am pretty sure I don’t want to eat a two year old frozen turkey. 🤣 jc

I have a brand new iPhone 15 pro. I haven’t used it for more than 3 days. I haven’t tried to post a photo with it. I am now going to post a photo and I expect it to post with zero effort. Let’s see what happens as I am going to post whether the picture appears or not. Viola. My new truck shell to protect my pinnarello dyodo from thieves

Top 40 sucks. I love music, have a multiple massive audio systems, and I don’t really know any of Taylor’s music. I have heard it, but it just doesn’t stick. Top 40 is just commercial noise. Making money for the system… not interested. That said, the 70s parties have always been well attended in the main promenade, the hush stuff usually gets stuck in a smaller venue to have a full audience. TS… nope. Has anyone seen the movie Nope… Yep… NOPE
