  1. Not so bad if they clean the slate and everyone gets to book again. You just have to be ready at the GO date/time in order to have best choices.
  2. Not true at all. It has been simply necessary for the guest(s) to request and arrange with DR Mgr's or DR Hosts. LOTS of guests have managed to have a TD experience at a time of their choosing. The best thing about TD for us is having the same wait team for the full voyage. I am not particularly interested in eating at 5PM, so will seek to secure a table at a desired time as have been doing.
  3. They have not been historically, so it seems doubtful now.
  4. Looks like the skies where we were this morning (north shore Lake Erie west of Buffalo in Ontario). We had some brief peeking of sun prior to and during the initial phase and then nothing but grey clouds. Bummer.
  5. Of course this event has the usual over-hyping marketing gimmicks that we are used to from Princess (but, to be fair, they are not alone in employing over-hyped marketing to try and create excitement). That said, it seems clear they need to tweak this to allow similar benefits to folks who want to travel down to FLL the day before. No way, I would take a same-day train. As for Port Canaveral, I like driving anyway, so I wouldn't want to train it to MCO and then have to shuttle to the port. I'd just drive there. AFAIK, there is no sort of commuter service between Naples and Fort Lauderdale. Sure, a bus service, but nothing special there. The old rail line that ran from Naples up the west coast through Fort Myers is going to be turned into a cycling/walking trail in coming years. From the southwest side, driving is the best option IMO.
  6. She has been in the seminars for years. Did them with the previous SVP, John.
  7. Many people have reported being able to order two drinks at once. You would want to order two shots and not a double (if that is even a menu item). BTW, Specialty ( no second "i") cover charges are significantly more than $15/pp. Perhaps you are thinking of Casual Dining?
  8. I guess I should have been more specific. Is that at the login sequence of boxes or at something like "link a cruise or voyage"? If it is the regular login where you also enter Name and Birthdate, your Birthdate is probably corrupted in the booking.
  9. Since the 18% has been baked into the menu price. Soooo, Princess should be figuring the difference between the AUD value of max drink price in the AUD Plus plan.
  10. I am in the camp of we will sail on the Island again for a special itinerary. As for the Coral, no doubt it can be a better experience, but Princess does not have these ships sailing the same routes, so it isn't an option to take Coral over Island. One exception - Coral has been doing the WC out of Australia whereas Island does it from Florida and California.
  11. Where is he "putting it in" exactly?
  12. Just occurred to me if there will be any issue for a port side guest to head over to the starboard side Cabana Deck in search of shade if sun is hitting the port side. Same idea in reverse as well.
  13. But does this setting end up preventing some eligible guests from making dining reservations which is supposed to be a perq.
  14. Yes, it is offered in the App. I expect it will still be there in the new version.
  15. Unless there is a real price difference (and I have yet to personally be impacted by anything negative in that sense), I always book the separate voyages. Other non-obvious advantages to this are being able to re-fare for a price drop on individual segments and independent to/from flights in EzAir which allows for changing one-direction flight independently in situation of a price drop while preserving the other direction.
  16. <I just notice several responded to what I had written>.
  17. It often depends on length of voyage. You get more OBC from a FCD with longer voyages. Many guests own CCL stock and can get $100/segment or $250 per voyage. A lot of veterans use Princess and they get $250. Doesn't take long to get to the range mentioned. Some guests are using agencies that charge the PCL cruise fare and then rebate back in OBC or other cash equivalents. Personally, I use US agencies that give a discount off the cruise fare so that our OBC doesn't get too large.
  18. All that is being corrected is the Medallion. GS is not correcting the Princess reservation system that has wrong data or a bug.
  19. (Virtually) No one is going to be going to the Cabanas at $500/day and hardly anyone is going to go to Sanctuary and pay $99/day to sit on the same loungers as on the open deck. Perhaps a handful of suite folks baking in the sun is all I would think. And I doubt that is much of an exaggeration.
  20. Don't understand this. I have never had an independent provider that was not going to wait. The good ones understand ship time can vary a bit. I'd be finding another tour provider. That said, we have scheduled a meetup for 30 minutes after dock time and not had issues, even if a bit late. I just make sure everyone knows to be down and ready to disembark before the appointed hour.
  21. Glad I didn't bother to open it before landing on your two posts.
