  1. Only stayed in one of the Sky suites at the back corner, but would stay there again. The balconies are huge.
  2. Vice vesa and sometimes moving ports in the middle and I have never ever felt that Celebrity have any real idea how to make this happen. The seaside staff promise you that they have it all sorted out but all their job is about on turnaround day is to get their ship empty so that they can move on with the next cruise. Finding who you need to talk to is difficult and you need to keep reminding them you are still there and waiting to be moved. Usually they fit you on one of the vehicles taking other passengers to an airport and drop you off as you pass the new terminal.expect a shambles because that is what it feels like. Our worst experience in 2020 should have been our easiest. They were supposed to have transport when we left the Edge at T25 tongontontge Silhouette at T21, right across the road. As usual no one knew about us. We were in a SS on the Edge and a PH on the Silhouette and there should have been someone to sort the move for us. Eventually we walked but that involves either walking up the whole side of T25 at that side of the road to find a pedestrian crossing or walking all the way to the front end of T25 and round the turning circle with all the traffic, taxis, buses etc and in the heat, We did make it but arrived at T21 far too early. It and it was closed. We were supposed to have a separate luggage drop off which wasn’t set up. So had to leave cases with staff who were not ready for us or wait outside for this to get set up in the midst of the new arrivals for the new cruise. Because there were so many new arrivals we entered the terminal, there is supposed to be a separate suite line set up. Staff knew nothing about it. We had to wait in queue with huge masses in who were joining and piling into a very small area. Eventually another suite guest forced their way to the front and we followed them. The staff in the terminal had no clue about what anyone was doing. We did get through and had a great cruise, but our daughter was join us later in the PH. She was made to join the main queue and given no guidance at all. Not a good start to what was to be a great experience. This was on the 26th March 2020, the Silhouette’s second cruise after its revolutioning and the second last cruise before Covid shut cruising.
  3. Over the next few week Liberty is either at terminal18 or 19. 19 is nearer and is probably walkable, 18 more of a challenge. We have done this a number of times when going from Celebrity to Celebrity at Port Everglades or at Miami but never from Celebrity to royal or v
  4. That is why we have no Celebrity cruises booked for the first time since 2012. Only 3 cruises on MSSC next year in the Yacht Club. We will see if the butlers are reinstated before we arrive on board but actually quite happy if they are not.
  5. Our upcoming Sky suite, which was booked two years ago, cost £321pppd or just over $400 a day pp.
  6. We have been trying Tuscan since 2012 and have had a few exceptional meals there, but the bulk of our meals have totally disappointing. We have had several bookings for a cruise and cancelled them as you have done.
  7. Thanks Jim Should be used to this process by now having don about 10 of theses over the years, mostly moving ship to ship, including moving from Port Everglades to Port of Miami or vice versa but every now and again you get something you haven’t experienced before.
  8. We started out b2b next month in the same sky suite cabin but we have had move up success moving to a HS (Silhouette) for leg one and at the moment to our original SS, or elsewhere depending on the move up process to the other suite. I suspect, but am not sure, that the drawers may not be compatible. The only bobs we have done before were to the same suite. Is there anything we need to be aware of?
  9. Were on second cruise after refit and also last year. The furniture has been redone and there is a bar on deck 16 and a hot tub which is at deck 15 level along with a toilet block close to the tub. Not sure about showers. We have done around 4 weeks at this time of year and there have always been seating or sun beds available. The beds in the shade are hard to come by but if you are happy in the sun you are ok. They do serve food there but there are not a lot of tables in the shade. Like all sun decks at the front of the ship it can be windy. In 2020, trying to serve only Luminae food, the wouldn’t give fries with any of the food as the restaurant was too far away and served crisps. The wind blew them everywhere. Last year the put one of the Luminae chefs in the mast food areas and served from there which was fine. At lunch time there are usually some Luminae staff to help with service.
  10. When Luminae opened on the Eclipse the Maitre kept a record of all tips received in the restaurant including those which were added from onboard credit which was shown to all the staff members so that they knew who had left extra tips. I usually try and use some of the OBC for the Restaurant and I make a point of telling the Maitre that I have done so so that they can be sure that the tips reach the restaurant.
  11. We have two cruise in February from Fort Lauderdale b2b in suites. Our boarding time is 12.30. We will be at the terminal by around 10.30 and would expect to be boarded by 11.am unless there have been huge changes that we have missed some change since our previous cruises.
  12. Been doing the same myself but hadn't noticed this anywhere. I may be wrong but this is specifically premium beverage and premium wifi which are part of the "all inclusive" package of purchasing a suite (along with the gratuities that went with them). It is not referring to the two bottles of spirits, the unlimited speciality restaurants or the complementary laundry. The only way to find out is for someone to get the suite in a move up bid and then report back on the outcome as if you try and ask Celebrity you are likely to get 5 different answers, none of which may be correct. Since the Refection was launched the Reflection and Signature suites have always had these extras but that does not mean it will continue in the future.
  13. My washing advisor remains unsure if her white washing is kept apart from everyone else's black washes despite it being split into colours at our end so "we" would rather bring it home to do here. We only use the laundry for shirts if I need some cleaned and they always do a very good job on those. If we are in a cabin that gives us free laundry we have sent off all the used shirts, t shirts etc to save on washing when returning home. We almost always have drinks included with the cabin so the HH has little appeal.
  14. It happened to us many years ago on a b2b. Spoke to Captains Club person on Cruise 1 during cruise 1 and had our new cards and status on cruise 2. Still haven't used any of the benefits for years, since the internet became included.
  15. This is what the web site currently shows Exclusive services and amenities Complimentary bottled water, soda, and beer stocked daily Unlimited lunch and dinner in all specialty restaurants Two complimentary bottles of premium spirits VIP canapés Complimentary laundry service (twice per cruise) Priority luggage delivery
  16. If that was the case the can make a payment now, or before the charge hits, to keep the card below the limit.
  17. Just rechecked my amounts and the £1600 was pp so it was an extra £400 pppd when I cancelled the bid.
  18. That is what happened on our upcoming February cruise. The RS move up minimum bid was over £1600 or an extra £200pp per day for 4 nights.it wasn’t worth that so I cancelled the bid.
  19. I wouldn’t be surprises if the sommeliers who sold the tasting event got the bulk of the add on tip for these things. Only signed up once and the sommelier was on our back every time we passed her to make sure we went, leading me to think that it is a big deal for the seller. In the end we cancelled it (I did tell the sommelier that we would only be going if the sun wasn’t out, this was February in the Caribbean)
  20. But he does get all the drink 20% and the pool add on for the beverage package drinks up to $17.
  21. I think our emails arrived around the 90 day mark. We have already had the upgrade success email earlier this week. I expected all the remaining suites to disappear the following day but only 2 Horizon suites went. Still 3 CS,2 HS, 8 RS and 1 PH left on the cruise we were upgraded on. On their other cruise there are 2 HS and 4 RS available. This is unheard off for February savings in the Carribean. Perhaps the current pricing model is catching up with Celebrity.
  22. That is how the sommeliers make their money like most bar staff on cruise ships.
