  1. We actually enjoyed a few of the strawberries. The rest were old looking and I believe it is because they had been out of the refrigerator for quite some time. We left them for the steward to take but they set there for several days until we hid them in a room service tray of dishes. We are not ungrateful platinum's. We just hate the waste. I would enjoy a cheese and nut tray or cheese and fruit would be a nice healthy choice. I truly love the complimentary laundry service and the diamond/ platinum cocktail party. We had lots of drinks and snacks. The strawberries....Not so much.

  2. My TA is online, phone call, or e-mail. I always book with the cruise line online then transfer in a few months to the TA for the OBC. Paid off my cruise yesterday with AARP gift cards in an e-mail. Easy Peasy and I get 10% of the price of the cruise in OBC. What's not to love?

  3. Lysol spray or wipes in our carry on and the first thing we do is spray all knobs, remote, buttons, faucets, and handles. Also, throw some immodium in with your other OTC meds. One of my favorite items is a digital clock I bought from Walmart for $26 and it has 1 USB charging spot and 2 plub in charging spots. Its fantastic and now I don't need power strip or extension cord. If we are in a regular balcony instead of a cove, I bring a small squeegee because I like to see out of my balcony plexiglass.

  4. We had a great time on the Breeze in November. The party was the last day at around 5pm. We got there on time and it was packed. Go early. We had all of the drinks and snacks that we wanted. We were entertained by the crew and CD. Really the best one of these parties we have ever seen. However, it was hard packing with all of that celebrating and the unpacking was even worse because there was no organization. :D Loved it. Have fun.

  5. I frequently decorate the door but a few years ago on the Dream, my brother and his GF decided that they wanted to take their first cruise. So we booked coves and set off cruising. My DH and I decorated our door and their door as a surprise for them. They were so funny. They thought it was great that out of all of the doors on the floor, Carnival decide to decorate our two doors!!:D

  6. Set it up as a cash account then give them the gift cards at check in to be credited to your sign and sail. It is not necessary to give out your credit card number online if you plan on only using gift cards. I did this and then cashed out at the casino on the last night and retrieved my unused balance.

  7. I think that you will have more luck in the check on then in the carry on. I had a three prong adapter confiscated (by Celebrity) for absolutely no reason from my carry on. If you want to avoid a possible hassle, pick up something allowed. Have fun!!

  8. No. Smoking on the balconies is not allowed. Take some binoculars and enjoy watching the flying fish. I take a small squeegee because I like my balcony glass clean and free of sea salt. Take a battery powered candle for the balcony at night. Take your 2 bottles of wine- that is a special treat on the balcony. BTW- It was the upsell fairy not the upgrade fairy. The upgrade fairy is free and the upsell fairy is not. :D Have fun!!

  9. Carnival does not have any "sit down and get waited on" dining rooms available for embarkation lunch.

Last year on the Breeze, on embarkation day they were grabbing folks to eat in the dining room 3rd floor mid ship. They had a limited menu but it was really nice and quiet and a great way to start a cruise. It was in the anytime dining room. I was hoping that this was a new thing on all Carnival ships to help eliminate some of the Lido chaos.
