I ALWAYS check out http://www.cruisedeckplans.com to see if there are noise warnings about a cabin I am considering. I believe that there are warnings about all coves under the galley so you will need to be specific about your cabin number. Personally, I love, love, love the coves but I would move forward of the gallery because we are light sleepers. Hope that helps.

They're available. Go fast.

Thank you for taking the time to entertain us. Welcome home to Carnival! :)

I knew we all brought too much luggage. Slowing things down. :D

I scanned through some of these posts (ignoring the comments about bathrooms stuff) and I am wondering what is wrong with the name Fiesta?

We rented a golf cart in Costa Maya for like $40. Had an absolute blast. Rode all around the island and hit some beautiful back roads. I would do that again in a heartbeat. In Mahogany Bay you should be able to get off and walk around without spending a penny. The only ports we ever skip are Belize and La Romana.

I'm platinum so I can't comment on FTTF. I just wanted to say "Welcome to Cruise Critic." Have a world of fun on your cruise. :)

I am sitting at my desk at work and laughing out loud. Gave me flashbacks and not in a good way. Looks like that guy in the picture had too much MD 20/20 and wrote all over his arms.

Also, there is SIL and BIL. Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law. That one confused me for a while. And MIL and FIL. You can figure those out. :)

I just paid $700 to upgrade from an OV to a balcony on Lido deck for an 8 night on the Valor. Only you can decide what it means to you and how much it is worth for the balcony.

We ALWAYS take our cervical support memory foam pillows. No problem. They have been all over the world on multiple cruise lines. :)

We had one taken a few years ago at security by Celebrity but have never had a problem with Carnival. The funny thing is when we borrowed one from the steward, it was just like the one that was confiscated (stolen) from us. It was at Port of Miami. Now I put it in my check in luggage.

Nope, they will not be getting the new interactive TVs. Just asked John H. and he said nope.
When I asked him about the upgrades a few months back, he said no to the Blue Iguana Cantina and he was wrong. I hope is is wrong twice.

Any plans to make this a sticky so it can be seen by all? :)

If you ever want to book a cruise the will NOT have a price drop, let me choose for you. Mine simply don't go down.

You need 12,500 points for $100 OBC. You're better off charging something from Carnival for $100 and erasing the purchase from your bill.
That is actually what I will do and earn double points by paying the $100 on the balance through my TA. I'm just waiting for the 10,000 points to show.

Last month I got an e-mail about a Carnival Mastercard. I applied and was approved and was rewarded with a $75 gift card and 10,000 points that I will turn in for another $100 OBC. Pretty nice free $175.00. :)

Mine was in my e-mail this morning, too. I sent it to my TA to apply to my balance. I expect the 10,000 points to show up anytime now.

I think the size of the room is determined by the number of guests. On the Breeze in November, there were probably 300 of us and it was held in a large lounge. I can't remember which one but it was crowded. It was anything but a wake. It was loud and fun with Matt Meacham as the CD. There were games and the liquor was flowing. MY DH thought it would be a good idea to have as many as he could in the hour and 1/2. Start packing before you go just in case you do the same. Go early because we went on time and it was full and hopping. There were plenty of servers so no problem getting appetizers or drinks like in the past when it had way too many people. They did check our invitations when we entered.

People have really strong opinions about dress code and about American Table menu. These are my opinions. I think the dress code on Carnival on a Caribbean cruise leans more casual. Most people, even on formal or elegant nights are dressed more casual. We don't take formal clothes anymore and haven't for years. We dress nice and acceptable but we are on vacation and don't enjoy dressing to the hilt. You can dress the way that feels good to you on that day. We often eat in the buffet anyway. As far as the American table menu is concerned, our only experience is on the Breeze last November. I loved it. The variety was just fine. The quality of the food was just fine and I felt like most of my old favorites were still available. Plus, there were some interesting other choices which were enjoyed by my husband, a more adventurous eater. I think that anytime dining has a more casual feel and the American table menu fits it very well. However, I thought the service was slower with the American table menu. There are so many dining choices that I'm sure that there is something for everyone. So enjoy your cruise and enjoy your many dining options with or without a tablecloth. :D

I used my card, waited a few days and no points so I sent them an e-mail and asked about the 10,000 points. They replied that the points would show following the first or second billing cycle. I want them to know that I will not forget about the points or the $75 gift card.
-
Thanks for the heads up on this deal. I had the $25 sent by e-mail but screwed up on the $50 and had that one mailed for $2.99. I sent them an e-mail and told them to e-mail if they can. We'll see but that should be a heads up to others to be careful about the e-mail/ regular mail thing.

I had my 3 gift cards applied by the rep at check in instead of giving them a credit card. Each card had to be entered individually and it took a few minutes but I bet it was faster than guest services. Next time I will have the rep enter just 1 and then I will use the kiosk for the others.

I just e-mail my TA with the numbers on the cards and she posts them as payments. I do a few every week or two so as not to be a pain in the bottom. Did one last week and a $50 gift card I got for doing a survey.
More price drops = more OBC

No. It is based on you cabin category not the floor. Also, it has to be the same number of travelers in the room.
