Free Shore Excursion Offer....
Fine print -
Shore Excursion Credit Offer: $50 credit per port, per stateroom. The $50 credit is applicable for each port, and is not transferable to other ports. Use the credit or lose it. Limit 4 ports.
Where's the free if you're only discounted $50 not p/p but by cabin.
Very misleading!!!!
-
If they stop promos how are they going to get passengers to book?
We like special perks, don't we? ;);)
-
Betcha she's kicking herself for having left the ship for shoes.
-
I think the next port stop was disembarkation in New York 3 days later.
Children enjoying the rest of the cruise, while the parents stick it out in NY.
Children under 18 have to sleep with an adult in a cabin.
They can't be left alone, right?
Wonder how sleeping arrangements are made under these circumstances.
-
Wonder if this is the couple (taken for 4/17 roll call)
http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=46523903&postcount=18
Do you think the relative would take the children off on the next port stop or keep sailing?
-
All I can say is that Mother deserved it.
Don't feel sorry for in the least bit!
I do feel for her husband who was frantically looking for her.
And by doing so, missed the ship.

I used Park Right a couple of years ago, we dropped our luggage at the port and just walked to the port after leaving our car at Park Right. On return we were off early so instead of waiting we walked to the garage and waited maybe 10 minutes for our car. It's only about a 1/4 mile walk.
.
Why did you have to walk when you could have gone to the lot, have one of their drivers take you to the pier and handled all your suitcases?

Thanks

You mentioned Cane Garden Bay
How is that beach?
-
Wondering if any of the following beaches rent loungers and umbrellas -
Vigie Beach, Choc Bay Beach, Labrelotte Bay Beach, or Anse Chastanet Beach?
We have been to Reduit Beach, would like to try a different beach if we can.
-
Yes, not sure about snorkel gear...
Thanks!
I have my own equipment.
I would never use - used..;)
-
Are there loungers/umbrellas to rent at Brewers Bay?
How easy is it to take a taxi there? Pick up afterwards to get back to ship?
Or for safety reasons, should I use the ship's excursions if they offer it?

Based on your 18.72 charge, it sounds like you have the number of meals you thought. Just for your own comfort level, you might want to call NCL and request an amenity confirmation. It always is better to have things in black & white. You have 6 meals to use. Ignore the current promo, since you don't have the current promo. It means nothing to you.
Thank you for your reassurance.
Will call tomorrow.
Wish they sent an amenity confirmation along with the booking invoice.
You really shouldn't have to ask for it.
-
what did you pay for your service charge/gratuity on the promo? Since you didn't pay attention to what you booked, people are trying to help you backtrack and figure it out. What did you pay? Do what doug says above. Just do it.
$18.72
-
Well, yes. It's capitalism at it's finest. Supply vs. Demand. In Galveston, you have a lot more supply than demand. In NYC, it's the opposite.
Supply in NY has dwindled down. We use to have Princess and Carnival. Now it just Celebrity to Bermuda and RC & NCL to the Caribbean. Queen / Princess for transatlantic cruises.
-
Under the current terms they are only giving -Can we determine how many days were received based on the amount of service charge paid for the promo?Under current SDP rates:
$12.42pp service charge = 3 day
$15.12pp service charge = 4 day
$17.82pp service charge = 5 day
...
5-9 Nights 3 meals
10+ Nights 4 meals.
No 5 meals.
Meals are charge by length of cruise not by the service charge.
Unless you have proof otherwise.
When I booked it was as follows --
5-6 Nights -- 3 -- $10.62
7-9 Nights -- 4 -- $13.32
10-12 Nights -- 5 -- $16.02
13-16 Nights -- 6 -- $18.72
-
I don't think I would cruise out of NYC even if it was a free trip...
For those who live in the surrounding area, it beats flying.
We could say the same for Galveston ;);):D
-
Did they do something to get you that OBC? Maybe cancel and rebook? Then you'd get stuck with whatever the current promo is I believe.
New promo has the OBC $100.
So I called to request it.
They said if I cancel and rebook, It would cost me $43.20 more and dining would change from 4 meals to 3.
I said forgetaboutit. :o
After I hung up that's when It hit me, it's not 4 meals but 6.
-
You should have received an email from NCL when you made your reservation that summarized your booking...
A confirmation invoice that has your promo codes in the upper right.... what are the codes?
According to the chart and your recollection of the date you booked..... it appears you have 6 dining.... are you sure you booked in the promo window?
What was NCL's reason for less?
My invoice states PROMO CODES: DINEBEV
Don't see any codes in MyNCL
Didn't receive an Amenity Confirmation time of booking.
Invoice states I booked 2/29 so I must be in that time frame for the 6 meals amount...Being they just changed it to 4.
-
The CURRENT promotion (today) is
The first two guests receive 3 meals on 5- to 9-night cruises and 4 meals on 10+ night sailings in our award-winning specialty restaurants.
That's what got me concerned. The amount changed.
It was 6 now 4 for cruise longer than 10 days.
-
You can eat in specialty restaurants as many times as you want on your cruise. If you are asking how many days you have with a promo you received, it would be whatever you were given with your promo at the time you booked. That's what you will get. If you were given 2, then it's 2. If you were given 8, then it's 8. Nothing has changed for you, unless you've changed it.
But your question about how many times you can eat in specialties? There is no limit. You can pay to eat there twice a night if you want.
:o
Oops
I should have stated I received the free perk.
I booked directly on line so I have no idea exactly the amount.
So I did a search and came upon the NCL terms site which states for my length of cruise 14 dayer 6 dining package meals.
Today I called to asked about the promo with OBC ( which I didn't receive). The NCL rep stated I am only entitled to 4.
After I hung up. Thought about it and said wait, I thought I was entitled to 6.
So here I am trying to figure out the exact amount.
-
I am a little perturbed that NCL can change the amount of visits after you booked.
I started a new thread, questioning this. After the fact, I stumbled upon this thread.
Like to know exactly how many visits you are entitled to by the length of the cruise....
When I booked the terms as stated on this site -
https://www.ncl.com/termsandconditions/choicejan2016
Sail Length # of Dining Package Meals Guest Gratuities Per Person in USD
5-6 Nights 3 $10.62
7-9 Nights 4 meals $13.32
10-12 Nights 5 meals $16.02
13-16 Nights 6 meals $18.72
Now I see on this site
http://www.agents-uk.ncl.eu/freeterms.php
it changed for new bookings made between 11 April and 30 June 2016
Specialty Dining packages:
Sail Length # of meals 5-9 Nights 3 meals
10+ Nights 4 meals
-
Have a question about the amount of times you are allowed to visit a specialty restaurant.
For our 14 day cruise I first thought it was 6 going by the chart on this site.
https://www.ncl.com/termsandconditions/choicejan2016
I booked back in Feb
but now I was told by NCL rep it's 4. (called about obc)
So I did a search and came upon this
http://www.agents-uk.ncl.eu/freeterms.php
Promotion for new bookings made between 11 April and 30 June 2016
Can anyone confirm exactly how many visits you are entitled to.
-
when we went out of NYC in January the cost was about $450 (about $40) a night. They dont take Discover. Cash Mastercard or Visa only
Nor American Express.
We wanted to pay with our AE. Told we couldn't. Lucky for us we had our Visa card with us. Phew!
$40 a day to park -crazy!!!
-
After all that to get the information you wanted, did they ever pay to repair the 'silent damage' to your vehicle?
No! Never heard a word.
My deductible was higher than the damage, so had to paid out of pocket.
NCL Breakaway Comments

Posted
they charged for two production shows???:eek::eek:
I have sailed on Princess, Celebrity, RC, Carnival and a 2 nighter NCL.
Will be sailing on the Breakaway.
There has never been charged to see a show.
That's ridiculous!!!
Was the extra fee for a famous entertainer?
That's the only way I would paid, not to see their staff sing and dance.
