  1. I havent been on the magic but have been on the fantasy...for my 2 infant/toddler boys they have awesome water play areas and slides :)

I have been on the southern, eastern and western and personally tend to prefer the eastern myself. Its all a matter of personal preference. After all it is vacation and you will be on a disney ship so you really cant go wrong either way :D

  2. go pro pole is a selfie stick :D They aren't allowed at the parks but I haven't seen anyone hassled for them on the ship nor have I seen anything in writing saying they are not allowed. I use my gopro stick on the ship all the time.

  3. It has rained 90% of the times I have visited but unless you are there in the middle of a storm then the rain comes and goes and the skys open to clear blue and bright. Ill be there next week myself.

  4. I have been to GC a dozen times but have never done anything other than boat trips. This trip I am with my 2 kids (8 months old and 2.5 years old) and my wife....is it better to take a cab or a bus to get over to the turtle farm? What is the cost of a cab? Do buses/cabs count the little ones as a full fare? How far of a trip is it out there? Any nice low key beaches along the way back to stop for an hour or 2?

  5. You mention you were picked up right at the tender dock by the bus? Is there a stop there as well? Is the rate per person regardless of age do you know? (such as kids under 2 free, etc). I have been to GC dozens of times but have never taken a bus as I have always gone out on boats but this time around I will have my 2 year old and 8 month old with us so we plan to go to turtle farm and hell then maybe to the beach for a short time.

  6. The VI's are an amazing place to dive/snorkel. Salt Island is home to the RMS Rhone...a ship that sank in a hurricane back in 1867. It sits in as little as 15' of water! Real neat to see. Cooper Island is another great spot. If you dive the west side keep an eye out for a small airplane wreckage. You will likely see squid, rays and turtles out at this location. Norman has some neat caves to check out...rumor has it this place was once used to hide treasure...if you find something I want half :D

    Enjoy your trip!

  7. My son is almost 3....I wouldnt personally do it. Too many hazards, things to slip and trip on and of course the oceans tides. This port is the one where the babysitter on the ship comes in handy :D Baths are amazing but I dont think many would enjoy them with a toddler in tow.

  8. have your little ones been on a fishing boat before? If not I would be real skeptical about that one myself. Paradise Beach in Cozumel would likely be a great choice...nice beach for the parents and fun "water park" for the kids. Cayman....definitely have to do stingray city if the kids like water. It truly is a neat experience. I always use Capt Marvins when in GC and have had all great experiences with them.

  9. They usually come out into the open check in area. I am always in the pre board lounge and I have never seen them come into that area. It's a bit of a mess. It's neat to get your first glimpse at "Disney" but I personally wouldnt try to deal with the hords of people trying to get their kids/family in their for photos. Its much more organized once on the ship and you will have plenty of opportunity onboard to get those photos.

  10. 5 min walk to the beach. easy access. chairs are free. Last time we were there we got chairs in the front row at the water though we spent 90% of our time in the water there anyway. Great little beach for a freebie.
