  1. we have also used capt marvins all 3 times we have been there...they are great!

Of coarse there is always the chance to get stung by these animals BUT the chances are real slim. They are so use to humans being around that they act more like puppies then they do stingrays. Just remember these are wild animals and they do have stingers so just be mindful of that. Dont step on them (and chances are they wont let you cause they are simming around trying to feed, not wanting to lay down and hide). I say do it...and have fun! Take lots of photos cause it really is a neat experience.

  2. hold the camera still, lots of background light....and NO FLASH.

On another note...who the heck is crazy enough to be bidding that high already on the Platinum pin? Still has days left too! I wouldnt have paid more then 10 bucks for it! Crazy people!

  3. Thanks! They are pretty special to me :) Especially the Carnivale. My first cruise!

I was 1 year old when you took that cruise :D LOL.

On another note I talked to a rep at CCL headquarters this morning and she told me that CCL is no longer making past guest pins to be given away on the cruise ships and that the only pins that will be available are the ones for purchase in the gift shops. Hope she was mistaken!!

  4. So I emailed the seller on ebay in regards to his Carnival Breeze past guest pin. I asked him if he would guarantee in writting that this is authentic CCL merchandise and not a copy or fake. I also asked how he obtained the item already since the ship isnt scheduled to set sail until next year. His response....

You think that they start making the merchandising "after" the ship hits the water? Everything for this ship has been already made: towels, T-shirts, caps, napkins postcards, brochures, itineraries, bathrobes etc. I have only one from a batch of 25 samples

K I reported the first 10 so far. Ebay says you can only report 10 per email. So to save some people time...here is the first 10 pins item #. take the link "frequent floater" left above...and copy and past these 10 numbers into the ebay complaint. :D

So whos gonna post the next 10 item numbers? save me the hassle lol.

  6. Joebat1...thanks for that info! We all REALLY appreciate it. I have a couple of those on my "watch" list on ebay too! Guess so much for adding a couple more pins to my collection. Grrrrr lol. Anyone know of another place to look for these pins for sale?

  7. thanks for all that info JR. I was debating to buy some of the pins on ebay just so I can get my collection going a little further then the 3 pins I currently have in my possesion (and I know you have something in the mail for me too....I soooo appreciate it) but I did feel the price on some of them was a bit steep. I purchased one this morning for $6.99 buy it now including shipping for a Imagination CCL pin...that price seemed fair I suppose though I much prefer the "pay it forward" method of everyone helping each other out here. One of these days when I have spares I to will gladly give them away for free to other members who need them for their collections.

JR, I would LOVE to have one of those statue of liberty pins though I am afraid to ask...how much? lol.
