  1. as soon as you walk off the ship there will be people there asking if you need a water taxi or regular taxi...impossible to miss them lol Otherwise right behind the festival market is where the water taxis leave from. 4 bucks per person each way I will usually round it off to 5 bucks a person each way. The water taxis run about every 30 mins on average

  2. stay away from Cabbage beach unless you are a strong swimmer. Kids...no way. The waters out there can get real dangerous real quick and never even see it coming. I do not think the aquarium at atlantis opens until 9am though? took me 45 mins to walk through it.

  3. currently its 125 pp for the pass that includes aquarium, beach, pool and waterpark access. you can take a taxi or take a water taxi over to the resort on your own. You will get there sooner than by ship tour and likely save money over the ships tour as well.

  4. definitely gonna pay international fees...and its not cheap. Best bet is to hit up one of the many spots with free wifi and do your business that way. Otherwise you will have a steep phone bill when you return home.

  5. aquarium is also included. how to get kids there without a car seat....water taxi. i think its about 4 bucks per person and it drops you off about 2 blocks from the front doors of atlantis.

Majestic Holidays sells day passes. $125 per adult 88 per child which covers the waterpark, beach and aquarium.

  6. flying cloud will refer you over to Stuart Coves....how do I know....cause thats what they did with me yesterday lol. I was told Stuart Coves is the only one who does the shark dives or shark snorkel tours and they only offer 2 tours a day....which do not work out with the Disney cruise schedule either. I have been to Nassau many times and every time I get burned by their bad schedule...you think they would work around the cruise ships time in port.

  7. yes they do limit the number and during spring break could sell out...but you can purchase in advance. But it doesn't sound like Atlantis is a good plan for yall. Maybe Junkanoo Beach? Close to the cruise ships. Otherwise Cable beach is nice but lacks amenities. I would avoid Cabbage beach with children as the waters there can get pretty knarly with rip currents...the waters there are real iffy for anyone who isnt a very strong swimmer...and even then it can get real dicey at times. There is also the beach at the Hilton next to the cruise port but they do charge a day pass fee to use their facilities/beach. If you walk past Hilton you will run into Junkanoo Beach...I think this may suit your needs from the sounds of things.

  8. If you catch a water taxi it's just a short walk from where they drop you off to the doors to atlantis. The aquarium there is real neat as are the grounds surrounding the aquarium, I am sure the little one would enjoy it. I don't recall the price for the aquarium only (as I usually just get a day pass there to do everything...waterpark, beach, pool and aquarium) but nothing at atlantis is cheap. You can do atlantis on your own without paying the mark up from the ship...just keep an eye on time so you don't miss the ship as I am sure you are well aware since you sound like you don't do ship tours often.

  9. awe ok so they may not be the waterpark type. I grew up around the water and have loved waterparks growing up and still to this day at 36 years old I enjoy them. Atlantis is definitely costly (I don't know about the cost of a cruise, i guess depending on what line and what deal you got maybe haha). Atlantis day pass which gets you the beach, waterpark and aquarium is $125.00 for an adult and $88.00 per child. To me..its worth it. Ive been a couple of times myself and still enjoy it and it gets me a few options on how I want to spread out my day...a little time on the beach, some snorkeling, waterslides, some time in the aquarium, etc. Another cheaper option would be to just take the #10 bus to one of the beaches ($1.25 PP each way for the bus). If they aren't into water much there is always the queen staircase and fort which you can walk to from the ship or there is the pirate museum

  10. Yes you can take a cab over to Atlantis. If I recall its about 11 bucks for 2 adults each way. You can walk the casino and the shops for free but thats as far as you can go without paying for a beach/pool/waterpark pass. Of course we all know going into the casino wont be free haha

  11. Nassau: Blue Lagoon may be a fun option for them. I was going to say Atlantis but you were quick to shoot that one down hahaha. Those boys will likely LOVE the waterpark at Atlantis. Blue Lagoon if I recall is about 60 bucks for adults and a little less for kids under 12. Price includes lunch, transportation, etc.

Freeport, I don't think id bother getting off the ship if I was with my kid.

  12. I am a fly on entertainer for Disney and every time I have been in Nassau I have had no luck getting in on a snorkel or scuba tour that fits our ships call schedule. 930am-530pm. I would really like to snorkel with sharks (I would prefer scuba but my fiance is not certified). Anyone know of a place that does shark snorkel tours that works with this schedule. Stuart Coves doesn't offer anything for our time frame. Ive been to Atlantis, been to the local beaches...I want to do something different. I will be in Nassau 3 times this month alone and need something new to fill my time with.
