When we had the galley tour on Millennium, the Luminae galley was a part of the MDR galley, in its own area for sure, but still on the same level as, and contiguous with the MDR galley. The waiters carrying the food have to go from the kitchen to Luminae via escalators, if I recall correctly. Tuscan does have its own kitchen on the same level though.

MSC sure don't make this stuff easy do they.. 🙂 Currently the 'Easy' package does not cover any of the speciality or signature venues, so that should be straightforward. 'Easy Plus' and 'Premium Extra' do cover speciality restaurants, but not the signature venues. Hola! is not a signature venue so within the price limits the package should be honored. The best list of the signature venues I've found so far is as follows: Venchi 1878 , Jean-Philippe Maury venues, MSC Virtuosa Starship Club, MSC World Europa Coffee Emporium, MSC World Europa Raj Polo Tea Room

You may need help to remove the old card first on some of the older ships like Divina. It may just have been a YC thing as the card terminal there is a much more simplified version of the ones in the rest of the ship, but the Concierge had to delete my original card before I was able to add the card I wanted to use.

The other wrinkle is you cannot use the alcohol free package in speciality or signature venues according to the website.

EU and UK are not usually going to be a problem when on a ship based out of a local port.. when you are country hopping elsewhere in the world it becomes an issue.

As others have said, it is inconsistent, but in the signature restaurants the expectation should be that you cannot bring any drinks in with you.

The point is that where drink packages do not work they are also likely to stop any externally sourced drinks coming in as they are budgeted to sell their own wine/beer etc. with the meals. Hence you will not be able to bring anything potentially purchased at a different location on the ship with you into a signature restaurant.

Generally going to be OK in the MDR and as long as you don't only have the 'Easy' package it should be possible in the speciality restaurants, but regardless of package it will not be possible in the 'signature' restaurants. If unsure which are which just mention the ship here and someone will be able to help...

We have seen this on a different cruise line, a lady was first cut-off for the day, then cut-off for the cruise and then put off the ship completely. It became clear that even without alcohol her behavior was problematic, and the final straw was when she assaulted an Officer.

Yes, very normal behavior, until they properly unpack the 'Always Included' components it will not look right. Give it a few days and it should sort itself out, if not then call (or ask your TA) to get the included elements properly applied.

It won't happen, but the rule is still there so if you ask shoreside they are not wrong to quote it.

We'll be there for that cruise as well, and yes, plenty of reasons to spend some time around the rest of the ship. Happy to help out with any YC / Divina questions as we were there in June in YC.

The packages were on sale, not sure about the upgrade though as some reported it wasn't discounted.

Clearly you move in more refined circles 🙂 It is generally a derogatory terms, so not a bad thing to have been unaware of.

I find that strange, it has been in common use over here for about 20 years, originally related to computer games and football / cars and other male dominated interests, hence the way it is gendered, but not exclusively as it spread out as forums and other social media developed.

Also the variability in both means you need to keep rechecking the pricing. We've cancelled and rebooked our Miami hotel for next Feb three times now. It is on a reservation with free cancellation up to 2 days before arrival. Got the price down from crazy to merely expensive, I don't think that 'cheap' is likely any time soon 🙂

Nothing like being well prepared 🙂 Will be interested to see how your upgrade bids turn out... Hotel prices seem to have gone up a lot over the last few months, but trying to book a Saturday night on its own has always been tricky as it means they lose the chance to sell that room for the whole weekend which is their preference.

If you made a Bella booking you are still 'Bella' no matter which cabin you ended up in though...
